Paloma ab Beaufort was Baroness of Asglen until she married the Duke of Farin, Jaafs de Preston, and gave up the title of Asglen to her younger brother in order to instead be Duchess of Farin.
After His Grace Jaafs de Preston was executed for treason, Paloma returned to Asglen, though she did not take back the title from her brother. The brother's daughter, Kiana ab Beaufort, took over as Baroness in 359, and bore three children.
Two were afflicted with an unknown illness that many whispered to bear striking similarities to the Harmon Plague, albeit seven years too late for it. The third survived and came of age in Sun Cycle 375, called Roland, named for a distant ancestor - one of the Old Kings of Lithmore.
