Sorry folks, I know some people will probably figure this is kinda lame of me, heck I do a bit… but I’ve gotta quit playing for awhile. I don’t OOCly have the emotional fortitude to play through some of the lies and crap (in my opinion) being flung my character’s way at the moment. It’s embarassing, but I guess, like the player of my character’s sister, I’m just not having any fun.

It annoys me when people get a OOC hard-on for other people who are opposed to them in IC conflicts.
I got a tell from someone on an alt complaining about this char and how clearly unrealistic her point of view was (not that what they expressed as “the facts” demonstrated awareness of the character’s inner workings, knowledge base, relationships or true biases). However, they did make her out to be downright petty.
C’mon, where’s the respect? I mean, how many people really are bad RPers on TI? There is almost definitely something, or a lot of somethings, you don’t know when shit hits the fan on this game. That’s even true when the RPers in question aren’t terribly great at it. Fundamentally, however, no matter how crappy the RPer is, most of us especially know the difference between IC and OOC.
If anyone thinks what my character does is wonky or unrealistic, and wants to know the full truth, I invite you to ask. Please, approach me after things have settled down and we can chat about it. This said, can’t we be adult enough to realize that sometimes we just don’t agree with each other about how one another should reasonably act?
Anyway, to the world at large – if a character is mucking with yours, won’tcha please give them the benefit of the doubt?
