Welcome to For Crown and Country, a narrative about past, present, and imagined events told from the perspective of the character Argider de Roldan.  This narrative follows in the footsteps of other active storytellers who have enriched TI: Legacy with their tales of intrigue and struggle.

Disclaimer 1 – The IC vs OOC Distinction:

This should go without saying, but save for a few out-of-character pages, the writings found here are written “in-character,” as if by Argider himself.  These writings are likely to contain information that only he and a select few individuals would know.  Other players are of course welcome to use the information on this blog for role-playing purposes, but only if that information could be reasonably gleaned by their characters.  As for everything else, I humbly ask that readers respect the rules of in-game realism.  If you’re not sure whether some detail or another would be widely known or otherwise readily discovered, please feel free to send me an in-game “tell,” and I will happily inform you.

Disclaimer 2 – Regarding Creative Liberties:

If you are very familiar with the TI: Legacy setting, then you may notice that I take creative liberties with regard to Argider’s heritage and upbringing from time to time.  I have spent a good deal of time perusing the available literature and have come up with a story that I believe fits reasonably well within the realm of possibility so far as I know it.  If you take issue with anything I have written or role-played, either because it doesn’t match what you yourself have imagined or because it’s not strictly by-the-books and spelled out by the staff, please remember that the “facts” here are written from the perspective of Argider:  they are his truths, but they are not necessarily “the” truths, and I make no claim otherwise.  That being said, if you notice any blatant inconsistencies or major errors on my part, I would definitely like to know about them so that I may improve my play.

Disclaimer 3 – In-character Gossip:

Finally, and following from the first two disclaimers, it should come as no surprise that this blog will discuss other players’ characters from time to time.  If you find that I have written about or alluded to your character in some way that you find uncomfortable or unacceptable, please feel free to approach me with your concerns.  I can’t promise that I will make major changes (Argider is free to write whatever he wishes about whomever he wants), but I will promise to take any serious concerns into consideration.  It is not my intention to interfere with others’ enjoyment of the game, and everything that has been written here has been written with that tenet in mind.  In certain cases, I may decide to password-protect a post containing explicit and/or sensitive information in order to preserve the spirit of the game.
