    Dear Diary,

At the moment it feels like my life is just one big prickly cactus with everywhere and everyone I turn to jabbing me with their sharp thorns till I’m too scared to even attempt to reach out any more. I do not know what to do. I am tired of hurting. I wish Father Abbot was here, he’d know. He’d tell me the right of things. Just a little longer, why couldn’t you of given me a little longer. I need you.

    Stormie.

    Dear Diary,

My cousin is an idiot. Only an idiot would eat -four- sugarcubes in one sitting. I’m not that stupid. But obviously he is. Gah. It was not pretty. He seemed to forgive me for running away.. twice, and all was good and I went to meet the Captain, I wanted to see him again. After that dance and how he looked at me, how could I not? But somehow, that made my cousin even madder than seeing Eddie did. And he was just a friend. And he’s actually a decent guy. And now, I’m not allowed to see any of my friends. Never again, not to talk to them, not to write to them, nothing. And then, Jei proposed to me out of the blue, and I wasn’t sure, and then Ari approved it and I said yes, but then Jei said it was just a joke. But it wasn’t very funny. Even I don’t do jokes like that. So… my Cousin wants me to be with people that hurt me so much? And yet my friends, who do NOT hurt me like that, I can’t see? Arien. Arien damn it.

Also, I think the robes that they make the priests wear are totally hideous and could do with a bit of a make over. They have no shape, and they have rope. Not even a real belt?! What’s with that, seriously? And they itch too. Everywhere. I think I need to have a serious talk to Father Abbot about that. At least if I have to wear such clothes in penance at least they could be nice. They could maybe have a silk versions for nobles. A bit of nice embroidery, maybe a gemstone or two.

Given I can have no friends, and everything else going on, maybe I should join the order. And then, Sien would be happy and everyone would be happy. Except maybe me.

You spread some coin around and eventually you get a tidbit from a talkative fishwife:’The way op Orban’s cousin was showing off her leg last night at the Blind Horse, mistook her for one of the girls what works downstairs at the Happy Harem!’.
You spread some coin around and eventually you get a tidbit from a talkative fishwife:’Three more died in the brawl down on tavern road last night. Blind Horse ain’t going to be able to keep it out the fights much longer. ‘.

A few days ago I arrived in Lithmore to stay with my cousin Ariel op Orban except, it seems he really didn’t know much about it and wasn’t even at the docks like my Father said. He gave me strict instructions to stay put till he arrived and well. I did as I was told. And then it got dark and I was a bit scared so. I decided to try find somewhere to stay.

Except, when I finally found an Inn, my purse was gone! Thankfully I had a little coin at the bottom of my suitcase. I’ve met a few interesting people, but all in all, Lithmorran’s seem to be rather stuck up! I’m finding I wish listened a bit more at my lessons. Maybe Papa was right for once about something. Nothing else though. Annnyways. The King’s betrothed was nice enough to give me some money and I was able to stay at an Inn. It wasn’t too bad even though I was sleeping in a bed that someone else had slept in the night before. I mean, how disgusting is that?!

Then, there all these little dirty kids running around me wanting to send messages, and I found out, if you give them a few coin, they’ll run around town after who ever you tell them to look for. So, I had a bit of fun with that. I can see myself having a lot of fun with that actually! I already have lots of ideas!

But! I finally was able to meet up with my cousin. He doesn’t seem so bad, he let me have whiskey, but it didn’t really taste anywhere near as good as I expected it to. And I’ve only got four rules. Not twenty eight like back home. But I’ve forgotten all of them. Except… don’t do as he does. Which really… leaves things pretty wide open if you ask me. Oh, I remember the other one! Don’t ask questions. And I’m allowed to sneak out at night! How fun is that?

Maybe Lithmore isn’t going to be quite so boring after all.
