A gentleman made rich by his family's mines in Sartez, Francis ab Willard was inspired by the sweetness and purity of Saint Celeste after a pilgrimage to the Springs. He devoted his great wealth to the building of a great orphanage and the keeping of those left destitute by the Consolidation's battles. He died in flame, saving his orphans from a terrible fire that was set by witchcraft. A saint of the well-bred and wealthy, he teaches us the importance of charity and kindness to the less fortunate.
