On Februarius the 2nd, 354 SC, the temperature of Lithmore abruptly warmed to tropical levels as a massive rainstorm developed over the city. The combination of snowmelt and torrential rain resulted in an extreme flash flood that filled the entire city with 10-15 feet of standing water. Unprepared, many people died in the deluge; the overall death rate was approximately 75% - as high as 90% in the Southside where no two-story buildings existed to take shelter in.

The flood was clearly magical in nature, and only abated when various individuals found and destroyed summoning circles in various locations throughout Lithmore protected by demons. In a final showdown, the archmage responsible for the flood was killed and the floodwaters at last began to abate.

In the wake of the Flood, massive efforts were undertaken to burn the corpses and return the city to a sense of normalcy. Huge charitable donations by the Order, Throne, and individual persons restored much of the city, although the scars of the Flood are still visible in some of the landmarks that survived the waters.
