The Chapterhouse of Urthly Saints is a mysterious organization which existed as a branch of the Church of Lithmore prior to the Consolidation and the Order's rise to power. Although much of the lore concerning the Chapterhouse has been lost, it remains common knowledge that the sect did, in fact, exist at one point. As to the exact nature of the Chapterhouse, however, little is known for sure. Some rumors claim that the group met in secret to perform bizarre and black rituals without the consent of the Church. While these assertions are likely quite fictitious, all sources agree on one point - the Chapterhouse included, even welcomed, the use of magic.

When the Dav's Consolidation began, all information concerning magic was purged systematically. The Chapterhouse is, perhaps, Dav's greatest success story. Every known member of the sect was burned, and all their meeting places destroyed. It is perfectly possible that the Chapterhouse flourished for more than a century before the Consolidation as a symbol of unity between magic and faith. In modern Lithmore, however, even a vague reference to the Chapterhouse can spell a man's ruin.

As with all things sinister, there are rumors that the Chapterhouse still persists in modern Lithmore. It is whispered among peasants that mages still hold candle-lit vigils in dark chambers far under the Urth, slowly and maliciously plotting the downfall of the Order and all that is Holy. Some sources even repute members of the Chapterhouse to be "demon hunters," and to do battle with hideous otherworldly forces. Most well-bred citizens pay this gossip no heed; but then again, truth can be found in the most unlikely places.
