Magden ab Grenthel was a knight of valor and distinguished service
granted the march in 307 after the Dastur family line was extinguished by
plague. His son Helth ab Grenthel, who served as Marquis for a number of
years was a fat, sour drunkard who rarely left his castle seat. Soon after
Helth abdicated in favor of his eldest son, Adgen, Adgen travelled to
Lithmore to be received at court. However, things quickly fell apart, and
Adgen was stripped of his lands for supposed heresy at the same time his
father reasserted control over Dastur and Helth's wife and four of his six
children - excepting a bastard and Adgen himself - were killed. The crown
responded by besieging Dastur and it was thus officially without a noble
line as of 367.
