The Volkov family has occupied Lillton for several decades. The early
history of the family derived primarily from military service and trade.
Their monetary support of the regional markets helped increase overall
profits, and helped spread the famous Lillton whiskey to other parts of
Vandago. The Barony was given to the family for their service and
participation in campaigns and support of the Royal family. In more recent
years, Carter von Volkov grew ill, most probably of simple old age. His
son, Wesley, eventually took over the titles and estates. He left roughly
a year after his father's passing to travel to Lithmore. With the estates
in Lillton in reasonable condition, he felt he may be of better use making
himself present to the Lithmorran Court.
Wesley was in poor health in Februarius 368 (something about a possibly collapsed lung) and returned to Lillton to convalesce there. No word about whether he ever recovered from this.
