Karrin states, "Sounds good. Ok, here we go."
Karrin claims, "OOC Chat Rules:
- Approach each topic with the mindset that each person is doing the best they can with the
knowledge they have, staff and player alike.
- Please avoid topics around current events. Nothing should be revealed in an OOC meeting that others would prefer to find out in game ICly.
- This is not the correct forum for criticism of a specific player or a topic centered around one
player. If there are concerns about a specific player, please address that with staff privately.
- This is not the correct forum for bringing up policy violations. If there are instances of
perceived policy violations, please address that with staff privately."
Karrin muses, "So, how was RP this week?"
Adeel declares to Karrin, "You get free stuff when you join OOC meeting, sounds like incentive for me!"
woodsman states, "Had some intense scenes, and some character development
Bridge states, "RP for me was pretty alright! Done stuff, decided some plot threads, I am generally pretty happy."
Kalana states, "Pretty quiet in my hours, but nothing too bad"
Sororitas states, "I haven't been around much, not been in the best shape for RP but hoping to have that change this week."
Temi exclaims to Sororitas, "Fingers crossed!"
Bigman muses, "Explosive, and quiet at the same time?"
Vrelli says, "I haven't had as much time this week to engage in as much RP but it's been stellar as always and there's some I'm looking forward to. I do feel the need to re-assert the fact that the community has been amazingly welcoming and willing to put up with my shenanigans. ;w;"
Bridge states, "Take your time, RL goes first. Don't I know it, lol."
Kareem declaims, "I have a new guild member! *Points at newbie Reeve in the crowd*"
Temi states to Bigman, "Quiet explosions still count"
Karrin states, "RL definitely comes first. It's been hitting me hard, too, so totally
understandable. I'm rarely grr about it. It's hitting some other people, too."
Karrin declaims to Kareem, "Exciting!"
Bigman states, "Moar reeves
Adeel says to Karrin, "Got hit with the 'Uncle Sam wants -YOU- to join the Reeves' and I got
invigorated by that."
Karrin states, "Oh, we need to find that uncle."
Karrin wonders, "Ok, so any topics for this week?"
Bridge claims, "Not from my side."
Bridge says, "I am sure everyone is thankful for that."
Adeel exclaims to Karrin, "They sometimes appear as a room echo when you enter the Almhouse, advertising the guild!"
Karrin states, "They absolutely do."
Adeel states, "I think there were advertisements for Physician's guild too."
Bridge says, "It's very funny, because he keeps telling me to join the merchants."
Bridge says, "Uh, yeah."
Kareem claims, "Ah. Aylor, I think."
Sparkles states, "I'd like to bring up something if there's time at the time."
Temi says, "There's a reason Aylor is on permanent alms house duty."
Karrin nods at Sparkles.
Karrin states, "Ok, we'll get started. My week has been full of doctor's appointments and
antiobiotics and sleep, mostly. So, there's that. I haven't been around much, and I apologize for that."
Karrin states, "Not sure about the rest of the staffers, I'll let them pop in"
Vrelli exclaims to Karrin, "Get better soon!"
Bridge queries, "Getting sick? In THIS economy?"
Adeel states to Karrin, "Are you sick??? Hope you get better."
Temi says, "I've still been around evenings to hold down the fort, but need to find some people for the plot I'm working on. Not a lot of progress to tell of"
Karrin says, "Thanks. I'm on my last day of antibiotics, so we have hope. Either I'm going to get
better at this point, or I'm going to die. I've prepared for both."
Temi states, "Not allowed to die, sorry."
Bridge questions, "Well, are you feeling better already?"
Bridge questions, "Or still gross ick?"
Adeel declaims to Karrin, "Don't say stuff like that, please!!"
Vrelli states to Karrin, "Or stronger antibiotics, but hopefully you just get better v.v"
Karrin claims, "Some. I'm feeling better some. But then other stuff hit, and I was feeling bad
again. So, it's like a combination of 3 things. And, I'm beating it all back with a stick."
Bridge states, "That's usually a good sign. If it was broad-spectrum you've gotten, it means it's
something non-resistant. If they took a culture, they probably decide on a narrow-band one after
that. Otherwise when the symptoms cleared up, you're fine. Just take the entire prescribed regimen regardless, even if you start feeling great."
Karrin claims, "It's not strep, but it's something. And the antibiotic seems to be kicking that.
But, then my brain decided, "You need a migraine," and my body decided, "And you need these other completely unrelated symptoms." I'll be fine, just wondering why it won't leave me alone."
Temi says, "Your body sounds a little like it sucks"
Karrin states, "It's not happy with me, at the moment, yeah."
Bridge says, "You're probably just exhausted and running on reserves. If you had a fever, your body basically did chemical warfare on itself."
Karrin states, "I have NOT gotten the big ick that's going around. That's something."
Karrin states to Sparkles, "I think we're on you. Everyone's just sort of chilling. So, your tipic."
Karrin states, "Topic, rather."
Bridge says, "Unironically chicken soup and plenty of water helps a lot in this regard if you can
stomach it."
Dorothy says, "Oh my update (I was trying not to be rude) - I did a few requests and evictions so
there are a couple new listings."
Sparkles states, "Just a small reminder/PSA about reminding about using pboards or reaching out if/when you might need to arrange a time with someone you also are not otherwise catching."
Temi claims, "Always a nice reminder"
Karrin states, "Right now when everyone's struggling to log in, pboards are going to be your
greatest resource."
Karrin states, "Because they'll see it when they log in, and you guys can arrange something."
Adeel trails off to Dorothy, "You do evictions?! I thought that was Reeve's job..."
Dorothy grins.
Adeel claims, "Them immortals are going to put me out of job."
Temi claims, "So much going on with the vacation season and lots of activities, and kids home, but most people can find some time or another"
woodsman says, "The inquisition also does surprise events where real estate becomes available."
Karrin trails off, "I mean, if you want to dig through people's overpacked houses and decide what
goes to auction..."
Sparkles claims, "I understand that finding people more 'organically' can inspire different feels or
whatnot, but I do admit being someone who is fairly available hearing how often it comes into RP, I do wonder if people are reaching out to arrange things."
Karrin claims, "Good PSA, as always."
Karrin muses, "Ok, anything else before I boot you back?"
Adeel trails off to Karrin, "Auction? What do you mean auction, can't we just keep it for ourselvs
eheh..."
Bigman states, "Personally, I reach out if we've ICly made an arrangement. I don't want to impose on
someone too much, unless I *know* they are ICly trying to reach me."
Bridge claims, "Actually can I say something about this? THis has triggered a memory."
Karrin has transferred Capitalism. [OOC]
Temi says to Adeel, "That could be a consideration in what goes to auction, I suppose"
Temi gives an alms sack of candies, fashioned into various fancy foods to Capitalism.
Vrelli pontificates, "Oh! If this is the part where we talk about stuff unrelated to RP I have
something after Bridge, too!"
Karrin states, "I think she's just saying, don't complain that you can't find certain people, or go,
"This person isn't around," if you haven't actually tried to OOCly nudge them, too."
Karrin asks of Bridge, "What's up?"
Bridge claims, "Yeah, really don't bring that into IC so quickly, it's very awkward to sit in. That's what I
wanted to say, haha."
Kareem states, "I would like to add to this, that there is a whois command. That usually tells you
when people are generally online, as well as if you may send tells or reach out otherwise."
Bridge claims, "Yeah, really don't bring that into IC so quickly, it's very awkward to sit in.
That's what I wanted to say, haha."
Adeel declaims, "Send a letter!"
Karrin says, "A lot of people's whois-is-es mention pboards."
Adeel declares, "If they don't read it, send another one. Keep their mailbox full!"
Karrin claims to Adeel, "To a point, let's not get really silly about it."
Bridge claims, "Letters, pboards, whatever. IC beef is fine, but give folks a fighting chance or
frame it at least with 'man, I can't seem to catch them' rather than 'they don't do anything'."
Karrin states, "Reach out, be respectful, be understanding. Most who are away don't like it they are away, and feel badly enough already. From my experience."
Adeel says to Karrin, "Eventually they will have to weigh between having to waste their MV to check the mail every time they log on and giving a response."
Adeel is obviously joking.
Bridge says, "I sure beat myself up when my sucky mental health grinds my motivation to a halt."
Karrin says to Bridge, "Yeah. That mostly. It shouldn't be, "OMG they're never here and they never do anything, they're not doing their job." You don't know what they're going through OOCly."
Karrin claims, "That makes it really hard to come BACK when all they get when they come back is,
"Well, you never do anything anyway, so." If they're dealing with RL, they're dealing with RL."
Vrelli claims, "Maybe this is better for the suggestion boards, but one thing I find kind of lacking
is when you get a pvent to go RP with a specific character. Now, when it's someone I ICly know
there's no issue, but when it's someone I don't it would be nice if there was like an optional
command to share you location. I know you can use tells to potentially organise stuff OOCly, but
that feels less organic to me and the alternative is running around like a maniac trying to find a
random person ;w;"
Temi asks, "Do you mean pvents or matchmaker stuff?"
Karrin states to Vrelli, "So, use tells, and go to a public place, and use the invite command if
they're available."
Vrelli declares, "Matchmaker sorry!"
Bigman states, "I think Invite does cover that."
Motherof states, "I love the invite command for that."
Bridge claims, "You can also use 'notify' to see if they are even available for you."
Vrelli states, "I'll look into invite then, I read a bit on it but admittedly got a little confused,
but I'll re-read it."
Temi says, "If there's points of confusion, feel free to ask"
Karrin says, "It just has to be a public room, and can't be in a guildhall or a phome."
Karrin claims, "And What Temi said."
Karrin asks of Bigman, "You had something?"
Bridge says, "Also knights or reeves can't use it to arrest someone, I believe."
Karrin says, "There's OOC policy around it, yeah."
Adeel claims, "You could also facilitate antagonistic scenes with invite without it ending up in a
PK/combat."
Bigman questions, "I did? "
Karrin states, "Someone did. Hold on."
Bridge states, "Every conversation with me is antagonistic."
Meiari claims, "We know"
Bigman claims, "Vrelli did, but they brought it up."
Karrin queries, "Oh, Vrelli did. Ok, gotcha. Anyone else?"
Vrelli says, "Yep! My thing has been answered."
Adeel exclaims, "Then call me a protagonist, for I will defeat you!"
Bridge claims, "I will fight Meiari for the entertainment of the crowd."
Meiari states, "Careful, I cheat and use pocket sand"
Bigman states, "Inquisitor, that one, right there."
Karrin says, "Alright. Enjoy your smelly treats, everyone. Your chance to get your last snarky
remark in, I'm going to send you back home."
HIEROPHANT shakes his mystical orb for a snide remark.
HIEROPHANT appears to be a master at magic.
Bridge states, "Byeee it's great to be back by the way! This actually helps me with my mental
stability a lil'."
HIEROPHANT says, "Try again later. Hm."
Vrelli exclaims, "Thanks for having us!"
Karrin says to HIEROPHANT, "Hehe, I wondered at you being so quiet."
Bigman states, "Good to have ya back, bridge <3 "
HIEROPHANT says, "I lurk sometimes."
Adeel states, "My PSA is: Do more crime, thank you for coming to my tedtalk."
Bridge claims, "This is entrapment."
Karrin states, "Ok all, have a wonderful week. No matter how I'm feeling, we'll always have this
lil' talk. Unless I can't, then we won't."
Karrin exclaims, "Have fun!"
