Temi muses, "Okay. Any more topics to put on the list? I've got Hierophant and Kareem already."

Scarry states, "I only have to say something briefly, I can do that during the feedback phase."

Temi wonders, "Alrighty, if you think of anything, please let me know and I'll get you added on.
So, how's everything been in general then this week everyone?"

Temi has transferred Ysandre. [OOC]

Dorothy gives a small snuggle blanket painted with a sleeper's dreamscape to Ysandre.

Temi says to Ysandre, "Just asked about how things were going this week"

Sororitas claims, "RP was good. Fun scenes, pretty laid back tbh."

SSideCaretaker claims, "Been good over all I think! Crossing stuff off lists, having good scenes
with people. "

Ysandre claims, "There have been lots of good dreams - well actually terrifying ones."

WeedEater says, "Haven't done a whole lot this week."

Capitalism says, "Great. Somehow spawned a fifteen person scene in the Queens the other day. Which
then spilled over into the council chamber for the meeting."

Meiari claims, "I've had at least one good scene every log in this week. Very productive"

MaskedHarlequin claims, "I'll be honest I can't say I did much of anything note worthy but was nice
and relaxing."

Scarry says, "Okay, so, I am so fucking happy about yesterday, I was so bouncy for a while I
couldn't go to sleep even though I specifically set it up so I can sleep earlier, lmao. The council
meeting was SUPER GREAT and I thank you all again for it, aaaa. Let's do it again the next time,
pls. I would kiss u."

Bigman pontificates, "A bit of waiting, but yeah, the fifteen person scene in the queen's was wild
hah! "

Eeel says, "Council meeting WAS great"

Temi finishes abruptly, "Yep, we've seen lots of dreams - hence the gifty this week"

Ysandre wears a small snuggle blanket painted with a sleeper's dreamscape about her body.
Temi declaims, "I hear it ran very smoothly!"

Eeel states, "All thanks to our Seneschal tbh"

Temi says, "Which just goes to show you can nag people into being organized."

Scarry says, "It took nearly 3 hours, but we blazed through everything actually, it was only this
long because we talked about a billion things. Everyone kept on the ball too, so it was great."

Temi grins.

Scarry says, "I probably peaked with this tbh, it can only go on worse from this."

Kareem claims, "I had alot of good scene too."

Ysandre claims, "It's just too bad that I only knew half of what was discussed! But it did flow
nicely."

Ysandre says, "Call it beginner's luck, not your peak. That leaves room for more greatness."

Temi says to Scarry, "It was very low on the drama quotient, from what I understand."

Scarry says, "Well, nobody got arrested."

Dorothy states, "Give it time, I'm sure"

Dorothy grins.

Scarry claims, "Heeee."

Ysandre says, "Sorry. I've turned over a new leaf."

Capitalism says, "Also no deaths? Weak."

Capitalism sagenods.

Eeel states, "Arrests Kah for having too big of a head"

Bern states, "Oooh a blankie! I have one thing if you were asking people for things."

Temi says, "I'll add you on the list"

Scarry says, "It's called hydrocephaly :("

Temi queries, "Alright, anything bothering anyone that staff ought to know about? That isn't big
enough to be a topic?"

Bern states, "RP went great! I've been busy doing a bunch of crafting, so I probably didn't get a
lot of interaction."

Scarry claims, "But yes, sorry, I know I am being very gushy about this, but I kind of dreaded
council meetings as Seneschal now, because I only ever witnessed them taking 5 hours or so."

Eeel claims, "I think one took like 7 hours once"

Temi says, "Seneschal has a lot of control over how long they take."

Temi claims, "And how on track they stay."

Bern pets the puppies.

Sororitas claims, "I had a mental timer in my head going before I just accused someone randomly of
having heretical items and just arresting them so the meeting ended. We didn't get that long
thankfully. Next time maybe."

Eeel says, "Arrest the seneschal each time it goes over 4 hours"

Ikeala claims, "If you want heretical items randomly showing up during Council meetings, you know
where to write."

Bigman readies the funny heretical throwable for next time

Capitalism says, "I like the suggestion from the Discord. 'I have set aside one hour for this
meeting. We will either finish the meeting with topics complete or with an execution. Let us
begin.'"

Sororitas claims, "Alright Ikeala I'll send you a tell next council meeting when it runs over. "

Scarry says, "Dalton will be the first executed."

Ikeala states, "I got you."

Capitalism says, "This is why I never attend meetings."

Temi pontificates, "Alrighty. Speaking of keeping meetings on track!"

Temi grins.

Scarry states, "Hehehehe"

Dorothy grins.

Temi muses, "Let's move on to staff updates. Dorothy?"

Dorothy claims, "Well, I haven't done nearly as much as I'd like too this week. Got some pretty
rough news I've been handling, trips to the doctor, fun stuff. But I did get to a few requests in.
Hopefully more next week, sorry for the delay."

Ysandre says, "Sounds like a reasonable reason for delays - you and RL first obviously."
Capitalism appreciates Dorothy for all her hard work.

Ikeala gives big praise.

Temi nods in agreement.

Dorothy finishes abruptly, "I have found time to be a cheer leader for Lochan - who does the real
hard work so there's that haha"

Wielding Fidelacchius with feisty determination, Karrin stomps in. [OOC]

Karrin bounces

Temi states, "Everyone completely understands. And yeah, Lochan has been a very busy bee, or pasta
demon."

Scarry states, "Omg, a Karrin."

Capitalism exclaims, "Hey! Karrin made it! Woo!"

Dorothy gives a small snuggle blanket painted with a sleeper's dreamscape to Karrin.

MaskedHarlequin claims, "She made it."

Karrin states, "Heya, everyone."

Scarry wonders, "And Dorothy, it's okay. RL comes first and I rather see you well than working as a
volunteer on a silly game, ok?"

Dorothy states, "Thanks all <3"

Temi says to Karrin, "We were just doing staff updates - want to give a quick one? I know you've
had other stuff too."

Karrin states, "Mostly all of my stuff this week has been behind the scenes, no one would really
know about it unless they were directly involved. So, apologies about that, I'll try to get to the
bigger stuff this next week. I keep intending to, but then keep getting distracted. Yay, ADHD."

Temi states, "Still valuable stuff! Just not as visible."

Karrin nods very, very sagely.

Scarry states, "The venn diagram of MUD players and people with ADHD is very nearly a circle, huh."

Eeel states, "I wonder if there actually is a higher percentage of ADHD people among the MUD
community than in the general populace"

Eeel states, "I also have ADHD"

Bern states, "When I'm on my ADHD meds, I'm a hell of a worker. XD I'm clear cutting the entire
forest per week roughly."

Karrin states, "I would say at least neurodivergent, yeah. Of whatever kind, or mixtures."

Bigman states, "Can confirm roleplaying tends to have an over-representative amount of neuro
divergent peeps. "

Temi states, "Lochan has been doing all sorts of spaghettimancing. I think he said he rewrote the
buffer code to fix another crash bug. I think Dorothy said he did get the rollover bug fixed and we
got the weekly rollover run so that everyone did get their payments this morning, rather than last
night"

Dorothy nods.

Bigman states, "Yep, rollover got done. Muh monies <3"

MaskedHarlequin begins to count their money.

Karrin claims, "Yeah, he had a LOT of code he put in this morning, and then re-ran the rollover."

Ikeala says, "Woo, new code."

Scarry states, "New spaghetti.."

Sororitas states, "That sounds not even remotely fun but very needed."

Temi says, "Yeah, we're getting more and more stable as he replaces stuff that was just patched
together with coherent things"

Bigman wonders, "A MUD, with coherent coding? "

Bigman claims, "Whooah."

Temi states, "Make sure to pass your love onto himi when you see him because it might be at the cost
of his sanity"

Dorothy claims, "It's hard work I surely couldn't do. I'm impressed everytime he reveals new
secrets."

Capitalism wonders, "Can we recommend Lochan for being an awesome coder?"

Karrin says, "We're both getting more stable, and more efficient."

Temi nods at Capitalism.

Karrin states, "Lochan is doing an absolutely amazing job."

Bigman exclaims, "You can recommend staff! "

Temi claims, "Absolutely"

Karrin claims, "We promise we don't process our own recommends."

Temi states, "Yep, very strict about that"

Capitalism says, "The secret trick. Recommend multiple staffers in the same recommend."

Temi says, "For myself, continuing to work on nailing down the specifics of the asset changes so
that I can pass those over for implementation when Lochan has the time. Also seeing about adding a
few new things for an event to run over Christmas and New Year's for fun when population may be more
sporadic than normal"

Temi states, "We'll try to get that kicked off sometime next week, depending on when we have it
ready"

Karrin says, "Yeah, we were going to start the 20th, but I think we'll bump that a few days over to
sooner to give you guys something to do. But also want to give Temi enough time to add in the new
ideas."

Temi claims, "I also have some plots to get processing"

Bern states, "I recommend whoever did the sterling fishing event, it was great and I got tons of
scales."

Karrin says, "That was a combination of Temi and Lochan after a staff-wide brainstorm."

Karrin claims, "I was like, "I want seasonal events." And they went, "Bet," and created
amazingness."

InvestSouthside claims, "That sounds like danger."

Karrin states, "I'm a very demanding boss."

Temi states, "But yeah, that's the main stuff going on there."

Temi states, "Okay, we have a few topics, let's make sure we have time for those."

Temi says, "Please remember to pre-type so we can get through them relatively quickly"

Temi wonders to HIEROPHANT, "You had something for us?"

Lochan says come and see, and you saw, and behold - Spaghetti [OOC]

Karrin hugs Lochan.

HIEROPHANT claims, "Ah, yeah, about the elephant in the room, then. As one of two people who can
openly ask this question without giving away any in-character secrets -
I love the dreams. The other wizards I've talked to love the dreams. We're having a great time. Have
staff talked about how often is too often, for the Big Dreams?

Self-moderation is the aim. We don't want to be obnoxious OOC with our shenanigans. I've advised no
more than one per OOC day. If the other(s) involved happen to be here, I'd advise it to them, too.
There is such a thing as too much of a good thing!

On the flip-side, just as a reminder, you can recommend people whose identity you don't know by
request board. If you're enjoying the shenanigans, consider sending one if you haven't already."
Temi says, "We have passed on some recommends for the dreams"

Bern asks, "Oh, I've been having a ton of dreams and nightmares, I have no idea where they're coming
from. I thought that was code?"

Karrin states to Bern, "It's players."

Bigman claims, "It can be players, or staff, but either way, you treat them as dreams."

InvestSouthside says, "Help dream is a wonderful help file for people new to these things"

Temi claims, "And we haven't specifically discussed how often is too much - though that is something
I am concerned about. Frequently for a while is fine, but we wouldn't want it to be all the time,
for a long time"

Karrin says, "I think they've been coming through at a decent pace, it hasn't bothered me. If anyone
doesnt' log in for a few days, they might get a couple, but since they're documented in cnotes, they
can be referenced back to."

Bigman claims, "Personally? I do not mind. I like them, it's something to talk about, and I think
spamming such things is a self solving problem, because if it happens too often, the authorities
(tm) start hunting you down like a dog :) "

Bern wonders, "Oh wait, I can see my old dreams in cnotes?"

Karrin states, "Indeed."

Temi nods at Bern.

SSideCaretaker declares, "Good to know! "

HIEROPHANT says, "Indeed. That's pretty much all I can share about them, is that they are player
-driven sometimes. The how and why and so on must remain a thing to send letters about and ask your
friends or enemies IC for those inclined."

Bigman exclaims, "Yep! You might have to type autocnote to see them, though! "

Bern muses, "Oh wow, that is so helpful. Yeah, and how do I recommend anonymously?"

Bern muses, "Do I just say whomver did the dream on 14/12/2025 or something? Or is there a better
format? Maybe some of the content of the dream?"

Scarry states, "It does get a bit much if it goes day after day, but I haven't had a problem so
far."

Karrin states, "They aren't necessarily queued by day. But, we, in general, know who the most recent
dream person is."

Temi states, "Yep, if you can specify when you got the dream that helps, and the text of the
recommend you want to give."

Karrin says, "If there appear to be two different people (like the most recent - one colored and one
not), just let us know which."

Temi claims, "They aren't all necessarily from the same person."
Temi nods.

Karrin nods in agreement with Temi.

Karrin claims, "I'm loving the dream war. Have at. Keep the whole grid in confusion."
Dorothy nods.

Bern states, "It makes me scared to sleep"

HIEROPHANT declares, "Good!"

Ikeala states, "I will say to slightly piggy-back off that, I have wondered if the 'bigger' dream
option could/should eventually have a rumor option? I have noticed (at times) that because folks are
worried (am I the only one who got this?!) or OOC confused/unaware, etc, there seems to be kind of
rarely rumors written about them as an okay thing to RP about."

HIEROPHANT smiles villainously.

Temi claims, "If players do start to feel like it's too much, please do let us know."
Karrin states, "Dreams should be considered a normal way of life, unless there is proof that they
are shared."

Temi claims, "From up top, we only get so much view, and at this point, we feel like it's adding to
RP, but we don't want that to tip over to annoying without us noticing."

Bern states, "This may not be a popular thing, but if I could suggest maybe a way of giving yourself
a malus if you have a bad one and you're scared by it. I don't know what that looks like, but it
would be neat."

Karrin says, "But yeah, I can see how a rumor would help people know that it's EVERYWHERE. But, I
also wouldn't want a rumor to ruin the surprise, because people don't get the dream until they NEXT
log in. So if they are online when the dream is cast.... well."

Bern states, "Oh! pmood, okay, let me look at that."

Ikeala says, "You can also use 'effort' if you wish to give yourself a bit of a tick down for a few
days for any RP reason you like."

Scarry trails off, "Void mages..."

Karrin claims to BoyNextDoor, "Good idea."

Scarry shakes cane.

Temi claims, "A person sending out a mass dream could certainly start a rumor too that people are
talking about all having the same dream. Or any of you could if you RP with others about your dream
and get responses about 'uhh.. I had that too'"

Karrin says to Ikeala, "Also a good idea."

Bern says, "Learning new things every day about how cool this place is."

Scarry claims, "I actually planned to do something with the dreams today so I am glad they exist."

Karrin claims, "Feel free to rumor all the rumors, guys. I love when the rumors are full. It gives
people lots to work with if they just want to be nosey or gossipy or need RP hooks and are a bit at
a loss. Or even IP."

Kareem claims, "Bards get rumors for free. go hassle them. XD"

Temi nods in agreement.

Ikeala claims, "Also the Rumor AI is the most evil character in game."

Bigman declares, "It is! "

Meiari claims, "Truly the BBEG"

Karrin states, "The timing with the rumor drops is uncanny."

Temi nods in agreement.

Scarry says, "Rumors are great weapons too."

Scarry claims, "If you are evil like that."

Temi claims, "There's nothing programmed to make it topical or put it at horribly inappropriate
times, and yet it somehow manages every time"

Karrin nods in agreement with Temi.

Temi states, "But, let's move along then! We had a couple more topics."

Temi questions to Kareem, "You had something?"

Kareem states, "Say doesn't like me"

Karrin claims, "Beat it into submission."

Kareem says, "I can't post my pretype. It hates me."

Temi comforts Kareem.

SSideCaretaker wonders, "Try doing it as an emote?"

Kareem claims, "I wanted to speak about NPC progs. I think it is no secret that my character is a
Daravi. I like the npc reacting to me, because it is funny. What concerns me is that some NPCs spam
the room. For example the two guards at Reeve HQ post a Daravi Scum."

Kareem states, "There we go."

Sororitas trails off, "That was such pain to have a scene in..."

Sororitas claims, "I swear it was like every 1-5 minutes."

Temi questions, "Which type of mobs were those?"

Maymouna states, "I mean they got to let you know. Else you might forget."

Kareem claims, "XD True."

Kareem says, "Gangly and short at Queen's Guard Headquarters."

Temi claims, "Okay, they don't have any mobprogs, so they are just doing the spec_reeve thing, I
think"

Temi says, "So that's in code, not mobprogs."

Kareem states, "They say it every 1-5 minutes. Yeah. It may not be a problem for me, but might be a
pain for screen reader users or people playing phone/tablet."

Karrin states, "Bug board it, folks. I can agree that less frequent is probably best."

Temi nods.

Sororitas trails off, "Reeves are hard coded to be the most racist NPCs in Lithmore. Good to
know..."

Bigman muses, "Maybe it checks every X minutes if there is someone in the room that wasn't there
last time? "

Temi claims, "Yeah, probably worth fixing, but just a question of where to be fixed."

[OOC] WeedEater: "Time to join the Reeves!"

Temi claims, "And sounds like this one needs Lochan"

BoyNextDoor trails off, "Outside of auburn haired man... Maybe he is an off duty reeve..."

Lochan states, "I'm retired."

Ikeala queries, "That actually also brings up the question of now that those character concepts are
more 'valid' because of the IC developments, are Daravi going to remain the only race not on the
census?"

Scarry says, "Wait what."

Kareem says, "They also do that for 'We wash in here Lithmore!' when you stand there blood soaked.
Or the bowing to Nobles. So if you want an ego boost, you can just stand at our HQ and watch them
trip over themselves to bow to you. XD"

Bern says, "In which I find there's a census command"

Scarry states, "Lol"

Temi states, "I don't mind them being on census"

Scarry says, "Yeah they should be on the census by now."

Karrin says, "I don't, either. Census is fine."

Scarry says, "We should remove the teenager one lol"

Sororitas says, "Also can we maybe remove Teenagers "

Temi claims, "Alrighty, almost out of time."

Capitalism states, "Bern is the only hillman. I appreciate you bro."

Sororitas claims, "Damn beat me to it Scarry"

Temi asks of Bern, "You had something?"

Karrin claims, "Eh, technically, 18 and 19 are still teenagers."

Capitalism patpats Bern.

Bern asks, "So in Help Wood, I was looking through it for all of the common and fine woods? I didn't
see Cedar, which is a mainstay of things like cedar chests and cedar closets. I didn't know if that
was an oversight or it just didn't exist in the Lithmore world?"

Scarry states, "Not on the census, Karrin."

Scarry claims, "It is the category for underage."

Sororitas says, "Teen is 13 to 17"

Karrin claims, "Weird. Ok."

Temi claims, "I imagine it was just an oversight. I didn't write that one, but cedar can certainly
exist."

Karrin nods.

MaskedHarlequin says, "I think the common woods are just non all inclusive since there's so many
wood types."

Temi finishes abruptly, "Probably a common wood. But feel free to put it on the typo board - and
you'd be welcome to include a blurb you think would be good for some extra QP for it there"

Scarry states, "I mean we can refurbish it to 17-19 category, but right now it's just the weird
implication that some circumstances allows for those.

Also cedar is probably a vavrdi wood in TI."

Bern muses, "So if we find something that isn't specified, we should typo it in there?"

Bigman states, "No, that's Si-dar."

Meiari high-fives Bigman

Bern claims, "Yeah, I'll put in a little blurb for cedar"

Temi says, "We can also note that it's not necessarily all-inclusive, but yeah, if there's standard
woods that make sense in a European fantasy setting, we can likely include them"

HIEROPHANT says, "Anything that isn't strictly European might still have a place somewhere in the
world beyond Lithmore, though that'd be a rare import and cost QP. You can talk to staff about those
on an individual basis."

Temi nods.

Temi says, "Yeah, it's not a strict no on other stuff, but common European stuff available in our
time period is generally a yes without needing to ask"

Karrin nods in agreement with Temi.

Scarry says, "(It's really funny how we have damascene steel in our game.)

Capitalism trails off, "It's a style of forging the steel but sure..."

Temi questions, "Alrighty. Anything else folks want to cover before we send everyone back to go
fill the grid with RP?"

Ysandre questions, "Aren't portals magic? :o"

Bern declaims, "Pyre the Portals!"

Lochan goes slurping back to his spaghetti bowl.

Lochan floats off, as it were, flying spaghetti monster. [OOC]

Sororitas says, "I just headcanon that there was once a famous crafter, brewer, ect the crafts are
named after instead of the locations on earth they get their name for."

Capitalism says, "It was originally named after the city so that's a thing. Maybe they came from
Farin originally. Or better it's a Daravi crafting style that Lithmorrans adopted"

Scarry says, "No, Capitalism, it's not."

Scarry says, ""Damascus steel" comes from Damascus. Hence the name. The style is "wootz steel"."
Kareem finishes his note.

WeedEater says, "Pyre the Urth."

Karrin says, "When there's RL city names, we try to migrate them to game-city names. But, old staff
might not have."

Scarry claims, "Https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wootz_steel"

Temi states, "Yeah, damascus steel is one that we inherited and was a little too late to put our own
spin on it"

Bigman trails off, "Pyre the pyre..... "

Temi says, "Probably wouldn't have done it that way myself"

Scarry declares, "I love the name wootz steel btw, it's so cute. Wootz!"

HIEROPHANT says, "There are a lot of things that reference an IRL region but the region is less
known than the thing referencing it, on TI"

HIEROPHANT claims, "Champagne, cashmere, hamstone, etc."

Bigman claims, "Technically, all our champagne is sparkly wine."

Capitalism coughs, 'Champagne'

Scarry says, "Yeee."

Scarry states, "Hamstone is fucking silly tho."

Scarry claims, "It doesn't even look like ham. It's just from Ham."

Meiari says, "Cleopatra enjoyed champagne first :3 yay for pearls in wine *finger guns*"

Temi claims, "But, we can only move forwards, unless we want to go heavily retconning things, and
try to smush people's use of English words"

Bern questions, "If we're doing finger guns in a medieval setting does that make it finger
crossbows?"

Bigman pontificates, "We should call it Cleopatragne, thus. TO THE IDEA BOARD! "

Capitalism snickers at Bern.

Temi queries, "Alrighty. Any last things before I send you back? I think this is devolving"
Ikeala salutes.

Meiari dances. With pearls in her wine.

Bigman states, "Anyway, that is the beauty of inheriting a setting, can't have it all. Please
release us, Temi, we're spiralling"

Kareem raises a weighty wooden practice axe with a mighty, crescent blade in salute.
Bern pets the puppies again.

Scarry states, "Goodbyeeeee."

Karrin claims, "Behave, children."
