Class: Command
Syntax: thank <name> <reason>
thank list

Thank would allow new and / or inexperienced users to express thanks to staff and regular mortal players for assistance provided above and beyond the answering of minor questions.

This assistance may be helping to explain nuances of the theme, assistance with determining appropriate player actions, assistance with developing a rich player background, explaining the pro's and con's of each profession / guild choice which may not be evident in the guild's individual helpfile, etc.

The use of the command would allow the immstaff of TI to keep track of the top players rendering help to others and would help with decisions to promote from within the ranks and nominate players for citizenship. A second use would be an automated in-game roster (for example 'thank list' to list the top citizens and players ranked by number of 'thanks')

I think this would be a great way to recognize regular player characters who may not actually be "citizens" but which often give their own time to helping others.

Just thought I'd give this a bump.

I am mostly interested in the thanking staff part. I can thank other players for their assistance by rewarding them QP, but I currently have no way to reward all the staffers I've been bugging the hell out of. Maybe there could be 'Staffer of the Month' titles, and the award could be running little fun mini plots or giving somebody your address and letting them send you baked goods that will get moldy by the time they get to your residence.

Seriously though, I'd like a way to reward staff for putting up with us.

What works well is just simply telling a staff member that, directly :) Or even in a staff / personal board note.
