Tingres Rest first came to be after being settled as a tiny hamlet by a
group of fisher people led by a man named Tin le Gre. Tin helped the small
village expand, eventually claiming more and more land around the area
before being compelled to stop by the modest fisherfolk. Tin le Gre
perished a decade after settling the village, which had now grown into a
booming city.

Separated from the Ducal Seat of Tubor by treacherous mountains, Tingres
Rest enjoys a fair amount of wealth after a rather lucrative trade deal
with the other neighboring baronies. Its inhabitants are affluent,
literate, and somewhat idle. This may be the cause of most of the baronies
people being perceived as arrogant and slothful. Despite this, Tingres
Rest remains one of the most sought after locations in the Tubori Isles to
take up residence in. Ruled by the powerful Cruppe family since Tin le
Gres death, the barony has been hit with disaster after disaster, strange
tsunamis and hurricanes striking the land when least expected. Under the
leadership of the Cruppes, however, the province has always managed to
recover, its economy oddly rebuilding itself faster each time. Some have
suspected this is because of the Cruppe familys ties with illegal
activities such as fraudulent trade agreements, extortion, and
assassination of rivals. None of the accusations have been concrete enough
to challenge the Cruppes, and Tingres Rest continues to relish in its
prosperity.
