Willard was inspired by the sweetness and purity of [[Saint Celeste]] after a
pilgrimage to the Springs. He devoted his great wealth to the building of
a great orphanage and the keeping of those left destitute by the
[[Consolidation Timeline|Consolidation]]'s battles. He died in flame, saving his orphans from a
terrible fire that was set by [[magic|witchcraft]]. A saint of the well-bred and
wealthy, he teaches us the importance of charity and kindness to the less
fortunate.
