The eldest daughter of the prestigious Rober le Fontaine, Earl of
Penmoor within Tubor, her father is one of the handful of men with a
substantial claim on the Ducal seat of [[Tubor]]. Shortly after her sixteenth
birthday, Iolaide was informed that a marriage had been arranged between
herself and the new Crown Prince of [[Lithmore]], Iain ab Harmon. The wedding
was rushed through, mostly due to the urgent need to create an heir, which
was accomplished less than a year after the wedding was completed, with the
birth of their first child, [[Richael]]. Since then, the couple has had a
number of other children, the King's line actually proving to be fertile
for a change.

Over the years, Iolaide grew into her role, and from a naive girl when
she arrived, bewildered, to her own wedding, she moved in leaps and
bounds. Before her death she was regarded as a steadying hand and wise counsel for
the often fiery king. Since she was made the King's Consort, she has
continued to sponsor public works and festivals within [[Lithmore City]].
