The Dukes are four in number, and are the overlords of the lands which
were once independent Kingdoms - [[Tubor]], [[Vandago]], [[Vavard]], and [[Farin]]. A
fifth land was also conquered, [[Charali]], but as its people were (and
remain) hunter-gatherers, there is no established nobility, and hence no
Ducal leader.

Dukes are responsible for vast lands, liege lords to their vassals, and in
turn swear their fealty to the King or Queen of [[Lithmore]]. In return, they
are accorded a respect due their station, wide latitude in their actions -
so long as they are free of the taint of [[Magic]].
