Marisa dul Damassande was born as the youngest daughter of a wealthy Vavardian gentry family and grew up between Vavard City and family estates in Dusollini.  Her father was greatly successful in the spice trade and provided for every whim of his daughters, of whom Marisa was both a favorite and a constant test of patience growing up.  However, it has been several years since Marisa had to rely on the support of her family, having made a name for herself early on as a designer of high fashions in great popularity
in her homeland, preferring custom work with select clientele to clothing the masses.  The name may even be recognized for that in Lithmore among persons familiar with high Vavardi fashion.  Further ventures in finance and trade proved equally successful.

Those days, however, lie in history.  Marisa came to Lithmore to accept the position of Grand Magnate, a hat she wore for only about a year before stepping up into an even higher role: Queen Charmaine’s Chancellor of the Exchequer.  Her strong financial background and influence in trade circles made her an apt choice, and she has since served in the position under Queen Charmaine, Infant King Jaren’s Regency Council, Queen Gemara and King Tobin.  On Charmaine’s death, she was also granted the Barony of Lyndale, establishing Damassande as a noble house and stepping up into her new role as baroness.
