A Comfortable Room
[Perfect]
A plethora of gaily coloured silk pillows with fringes and tassels
completely conceal the floor. A large pillow in the corner stands out, a
brooding black mass of velvet and fringeless. Screens of nature scenes
painted with the spare strokes of a brush that hint at and outline the
subjects, leaving much to the imagination. Behind the screens, silk
curtains and sheets painted with bright patterns hide the walls, pulled
back only around the windows that pierce the southern and western walls to
look out over a lush garden filled with an untamed riot of plants and
trees.

Bridge asks, "How you doing, Karrin? Still fighting off the plague?"

Karrin states, "I'm doing alright now, I just haven't fixed my title because I'm not clever enough to think of something cheeky yet."

Karrin states, "Brain recovering."

Sororitas says, "I feel that"

Bridge says, "I'm glad to hear that. Not everyone survives the bubonic plague."

Karrin says, "We do have a few nasty ones going around."

Bridge states, "Meanwhile I have been mostly playing an incremental game that has my interests in a death grip."

Karrin says to Bridge, "Oooooh, how fun. I love finding games that snag me."

Bigman claims, "I must admit that's what I do while idling."

Karrin asks, "Ok, we can get started. Do I have a volunteer for scribe?"

Bridge claims, "It's called Terraforming Titans."

Bridge states, "It's about terraforming and actually follows a (simplified) atmospheric simulation. I have been doing nothing but making planets habitable lol."

Karrin states, "Oh, I tend to be a Plague, Inc type."

Karrin questions, "No scribe, though?"

Karrin plays a medieval big band version of the Jeopardy theme song.

Mirielle says, "I can, sure."

Bridge claims, "Oh I was about to offer but let Mirielle do it."

Karrin asks, "Ok! So I know I was out battling the plague and life. Doing a bit better now. How has RP been this week?"

Bridge says, "I find it very ironic you play Plague Inc while being ravaged by deadly diseases."

A roly-poly black puppy does a good approximation of a dead act, little paws curled up over its belly and tongue sticking out a bit floppily. The exuberantly wagging tail does detract from the overall effect, though.

A roly-poly white-bellied puppy sniffs about distractedly for a few moments before it seems to notice Bridge's command. It flops over in exuberant death throes and then falls still - except a peek up towards her to see if she noticed.

Meiari trails off, "Cute lil yule log looking thing... definitely talked a lot about wood recently...."

Bridge claims, "Pupper why"

Temi says, "You said both play and dead in the same statement"

Temi says, "They are very enthusiastic"

Temi grins at Meiari.

Bridge claims, "I love pupper."

Karrin states, "It's a way of coping."

Bridge says, "Ironically I like their other titles a bit more"

Bridge claims, "After Inc: Revival and Rebel Inc"

Bigman claims, "Started out strong, then a little bit of the summer blues, I fear. "

Meiari claims, "RP has been alot, and RL hasn't helped that hopefully will get back into the swing of things"

Karrin nods.

Karrin claims, "I've got some plots, I think. I'll get those wrapped up this week and we'll move some forward with that."

Mirielle states, "This week felt more quieter than it has been, but I had some nice little scenes regardless."

Karrin says, "And at least get some fodder out there."

Sororitas says, "Sadly not been around as much. RL and health got in the way a lot."


woodsman says, "I foudn out that combat when forgetting to draw your weapon goes poorly. More news later."

Karrin says to Sororitas, "I feel that pain acutely."

Temi nods in agreement.

Karrin muses, "Slapping didn't work?"

Bridge says, "I focussed on some other hobbies a little because things slowed down and I didn't feel very motivated."

Bridge states, "Mostly a new incremental I like. Sorry for that, although I don't think anyone missed me much mwaha"

Karrin states to Bridge, "Nothing to apologize for. WE'll get through the July/August blues."

Karrin queries, "Alright, any topics for this week?"

Bridge claims, "I got nothin'."

Bigman states, "Oh, I did have one, just a quick question."

Karrin claims to Bigman, "Ok, gotcha. I'll let you know when."

Karrin states, "Ok, it's just Temi and I. I know RL hit a lot of our staff this week, just like it has the players. It totally happens."

Karrin claims, "Keep the player of Kareem in your minds as he goes through some RL things, too, pretty please."

Karrin states, "I'm on the up and up, we'll start making progress again on my thinngs."

Karrin says to Temi, "Your go."

Temi claims, "Not too much from me, but I've been trying to be around and available. The plots that were waiting on me are done at least"

Meiari states, "Ty <3"


Temi grins.

Karrin questions to Bigman, "You had something?"

Bigman muses, "Wanted to just do a quick vibe-check now there's a couple of people around:

So seeing the summer blues, I was wondering if people would be more motivated if a few low key events were hosted, basically thinly veiled excuses to be around a place, or if it's mostly just outside factors?"


Temi states, "I know we definitely still see people show up more for events. It's hard when you don't know there will be others around and you peek in and don't see a whole lot"

Temi says, "There's still a lot who will be busy, out on vacation, but it's not everyone"

Karrin nods.

Bridge says, "The summer slowdown always happens. Some of the most dedicated players are just not available."

Karrin claims, "We can make sure the events are posted on the discord. But yeah, summer slowdown is common. We're actually doing better this year than last year with the couple people logged in. Last year, it was Eloxotzi. And... that was pretty much it. Any time I pop in, we have at least 3 or 4. I know it doesn't feel like a difference, but it is like 300 to 400 percent higher. It's sort of a big deal. We'll gradually get better."

Karrin says, "I blame adulting."

Temi nods in agreement.

Temi claims, "Darn adulting, anyway"

Bigman declares, "Nodnod, good to know! "

Meiari says, "For me it's been RL more than game related stuffs... that said, low key events are never bad, I enjoy when people host them even if I can't attend. It does give something to talk about :3"

Temi claims, "Real life is a pain sometimes"

Bridge states, "I don't know you but my life is sunshine and roses."

Bridge lies as easily as they breathe.

Karrin says, "Ha. Alright, I can send you back to grid if there's nothing else. We do appreciate those who CAN be here sticking around, even if you're playing a game on the side. People can find RPz if there's RPz to be found."

Temi trails off to Bridge, "I wish that were the case... unless they're very spikey roses"

Bigman states, "I tend to try to idle in a public location. In my experience, both for online peeps, and one place, once you have 2-3 people in one place, people stick around. "

Bridge states, "I mean at least my life was literally sunshine in early summer when the heatwave killed me. I am actually a ghost caught in the internet."

Temi claims, "Yeah, sunshine isn't all good, to be fair"


Karrin says, "We've thankfully had a mild summer until the last couple days."

Karrin says, "Ok, if there's nothing else, I'll send you all back."

Karrin states, "You all have a wonderful week, and we'll see you here next week."

Harrow states, "Not really! I haven't been around a ton, apologies for that, had to do a lot of adult stuff unfortunately."

Temi claims, "You have been around at least a little, since I've seen you when I've gotten home from work some nights"
