Though there is no certainty on why, Melania ab Norcress vacated the position
of Prime Medicus and the Physicians' guild as a whole. Speculation has led
to many assumptions- the missing and presumed dead husband, the end of her
pregnancy looming. Life's stresses taking their toll? She did see fit to
assign Nadya Ferrus to the position, A freeman who has proven himself quite
capable as a physician during recent troubles in the city. Encouraging words
were spoken about the man in a small speech made by Widow ab Norcress at the
hospital one Augustus morning before taking her leave.

After months of silence coming from the office of the Grand Magnate, Allyn
von Trenkin, Magnate of the Lithmorran Branch of the Merchant's Guild, took
the vacant seat. In a speech given outside of the Merchant's Guildhall he
stated, " Good people of Lithmore, it is with mixed emotions that I take the
station of Grand Magnate. I am elated that I am promoted to the position and
look forward to what I can and will do as the Grand Magnate. But foremost I
am also saddened, for our last Grand Magnate showed much promise before
suddenly disappearing, I hope she is well, wherever she is." a moment of
silence as he makes the sign of the chalice at the statement about the
missing Grand Magnate, " But, as with everything else, we must continue to
move forward. Some may have heard that I have been holding interviews for
the position of Magnate for when I have taken my new position. I have been,
and there were some tough choices to be made. One of the applicants stood
out more than the others, though technically two. I will be promoting
Svurien ab Sorrenson as Magnate, and successor, should the Grand Magnate
position come open again. In addition, his wife, Saira ab Sorrenson will be
the Chief Secretary of the Guild. I have full confidence that the couple
will do well in each of their new positions."

After his speech, the short man hopped down from his small box and went back
into the Guild hall to get back to work.

With more than a year remaining in what would have been her term, the
populace of Lithmore demanded that Lyonie dul Acatsia be removed from her
position as Seneschal of the city. Though some expressed lukewarm support
for the now former stateswoman, citing a lack of other options and the
challenges of dealing with people, the city on the whole was disgruntled with
her service. Complaints suggested that dul Acatsia failed to keep her
promises and disappeared the second she took office. New nominations for the
position are expected to be accepted in the near future.

In the late hours of the day a broad parchment has been nailed up at church
square, with others like it displayed at prominent gathering points about the
city. The official seals of the barony of Eastgale (a stone bridge over
water with the span beneath it blocked by a portcullis) is affixed to each,
above the flowing text that follows.

People and visitors to the holy city of Lithmore, I greet you. I have, this
morning, spoken with Her Majesty the Queen and presented for her
consideration, my petition to be considered as Her Seneschal for our beloved
city. I was formally thanked and she asked me to present myself, my history
and my case publicly.

There are many of you who know me not, and I hope that this public letter
will serve to introduce myself. Much of my adult life has been dedicated to-
as well as defined by- public service to both Crown and Kingdom. I served in
the latter years of Her Majesty's regency, firstly as Seneschal of Lithmore,
overseeing the beauracracy and projects to better the conditions of teh city
roads, and later, for many years, as High Steward. Much was accomplished
across those years of governance, although the memories are treasured and
troubed. On the first hand, I was proud to see joint efforts come to
fruition in making the kingdom strong and ready for Her Majesty to assume her
own gracrious rule. However, I was also bore first-hand witness to the
depravities of the White Flame Cult, as they assaulted our faith and slew our
loved ones- my late lord husband amongst them. In more recent years, I have
bent my attention to serving with the Reeves and to rebuilding the lands of
Eastgale, so gravely despoiled by the Flame.

If my petition to become Seneschal is accepted, I pledge to bring the same
clarity and drive to the position that I have exerted in the past. You will
find me tireless- and perhaps tiresome as well- in my drive to improve the
situations in which I find myself and to collaborate with those that share my
energy. My approach to matters is informed by two things: the first is an
ongoing reference to our shared Davite faith and the second is a healthy
respect for the rules of law and tradition that have seen the realm endure
for centuries.

Skilled designers and seamstresses: Her Royal Majesty Queen Caitrin shall be
wedded to His Grace Rogelio de Montford during the Yule Season of Sun Cycle
373 (OOC: Memorial Day Weekend). Submissions for the design and production
of her wedding gown shall be received by the Royal Court of Lithmore, and
the seamtress whose work is selected shall be publicly honored and handsomely
compensated. The Royal Court shall stop receiving design submissions the
week before Yule begins (OOC: May 21st), and select the winner soon after.

(OOC: To submit your design, complete the outfit and put up a request board
asking that Staff grab the container from your inventory!)

The Lady Justiciar Rimilde von Rievirkrintz and the Lord Chamberlain Bertrand
le Paraji invite the public to come hear the candidates in the race for the
position of Seneschal of Lithmore.

The evening will include statements by the candidates, a cross-examination
style debate and questions from the public.

The two candidates running for office are:

Lord Zhar ab Arianrhod

Public members are asked to send their questions ahead of time to the Lady
Justiciar and the Lord Chamberlain, if there is additional time left during
the event, there will be questions from the floor.
