Here is the thing. While Aquiel's auspex can allow for mind reading I do not agree with it that you can find mages. In all 13 of my mages with about 8 being void mages and 10 of them knowing auspex I never discovered anyone was a mage by their thoughts. People don't use think enough to really find out anything good. Second given the lack of a manus it makes learning spells of other elements next to impossible and this would apply to this as well.

However with this spell it is far more likely to discover a mage than if you were using auspex only.

I am going to agree with Voxumo a little on this. With the loss of the Manus, finding people to teach you outside your element is highly unlikely, so Aquiel's is not a viable option. Making this a high circle grey spell, means that access to it is readily available, and it also gives a choice to the mage able to cast it on if they want to find latents/mages or not. Making it more about what your character would do, instead of what the player wants to do.
