At the end of a mass, the acolyte ab Vigilis approached the altar to make
the following short announcement.

A little charity event is organized in the orphanage on Aprilis 26. On the
menu, there are gifts for the orphans, acceptance speech for the donators,
music and drinks for everyone.

After a flurry of activity travelling back and forth between Lithmore and the
other duchies, especially Vavard, with rumors of many gifts being granted and
some valuable commissions, the tide seems to be turning, with more nobles
declaring they intend to vote for Celeste than were previously willing to
consider it.

Of particular note, several Vavardi domains that have been said to previously
favor Roland, whether they announced it or not, have determined that they
would now support Celeste's rule: Nimrock, Capua, and Upper and Lower
Gerdain. Additionally, Vees, Dastur, Batarostra, Rapostra, and Iglisrich
have all pronounced their support for Celeste. And though the Baron of The
Throat has said he is not declaring for Celeste, he is apparently now more
willing to consider her and withdraws his declaration for Roland.

The issue is not yet decided, however, and a few more noblemen have declared
for Roland: the Barons of Yagrassa, Fort Merdigal, Zataiga, Longpoint, the
Organ Coasts and Macosta, and the Marquis of Zadossa.

Word has gone out to merchants far and wide that Lord Castruccio dul Acrisini
has put out the call for bids on supplying his upcoming wedding with wines
and liquors. As many apply for the honour, rumours begin to swirl about that
Mister Muzio dul Morelli, dul Acrisini's valet in charge of interviews, has
been turning down some for being too expensive, causing quiet mockery of the
wealth Vavardi nobleman for being miserly. Still, any that wish to apply may
seek out an interview with Mister dul Morelli by sending word to Castruccio
dul Acrisini's mailing address.

Word has finally reached the ears of those within Lithmore that over the last
few weeks, pockets of resistance have formed in several domains in Tubor.
These Resistance Pockets appear to be armed beyond what normally would be
capable alone. They seem willing to do whatever must be done to ensure their
Lords or Ladies do not support the Usurper.

Rumors of Increased Brotherhood activity in Tubor have also been reported in
Tubor over the last few weeks, though surely the two are not correlated.

ON a pleasant Circadi Evening, A tall olive-skinned Tubori Male stood in the
courtyard outside of the Merchants' Guild, portfolio under one arm and a
chisel loosely tucked into his belt as he addressed a group of apprentices
and journeyman.

"Greetings to all of you, it has been my privilege to study under a great
many of your tutelage, to have formed a working relationship with Grand
Magnate le Coblek, and to plant a foothold in the city of Lithmore. As you
know we have had a vacancy in the Magnate position for some months now, and
due to this the Grand Magnate and I have spoken at length. We wish to
support the excitement, individuality, and genius of our crafters and He has
decided that I am suitable for this position." he had switched his portfolio
from under one arm to the other, before he continued, standing tall and
proud. "It is my wish that we bring charity, back to our guild both within
and without, to bring creativity for our artists, chandlers, Smiths,
woodworkers and jewelers. But, most of all we should be excited, and have a
child-like wonder, and fun loving spirit for our work, so while I intend on
planning events, I also intend on helping to rebuild a family feel for our
group of passionate crafters.

"So, it is with great joy, I formally announce my receiving of the title of
Magnate of the Merchants' Guild, and appreciate each and every one of you for
your service, from our master craftsman, to our Steward Master Riette Achan.

To the preparedness of Captain Prisca Conner, and many others who have been
so dedicated in not only helping me to this point, but who have also been
amongst the many others who have formed the pillars of this Organization."

With his speech finished, he bowed to the group, then made his way off into
the guild heading in the direction of the offices there in.

With armed protests in parts of Lithmore and Tubor, demanding Celeste be
granted the crown by the Baronial Council, and trade deals and alliances
being brokered, the support for Celeste has continued to grow, spurred on by
her loyal followers.

Perche, Strongjaw and Zataiga, all previous declared for Roland, have
announced that their allegiance has changed: they shall support Celeste. In
addition, previously undeclared Elcaster, Hamstone, Chengridz, Vostock,
Highwalk, The Rapier, Rihdman, and Yestraden have come out in support of her.
And though they do not claim to support Celeste, those in Acrestinosa,
Hevstina, Macosta and and Penmoor who previously supported Roland have
suggested that they are rethinking their decisions and considering options.

Irisum, Vintrius and the Colonial Territories, however, have joined the not
insignificant number who still have declared for Roland.

Those counting and attempting to determine what shall happen as the votes
begin being cast in earnest have noted that 22 domains have not announced
their current preferences, and Celeste would require 14 of those to vote in
her favor to prevail, while Roland should succeed with only 9 of them. This,
of course, only remains true provided that none others change their
declarations, but time is running short, approaching the date that Roland and
Celeste have agreed upon.

Last minute attentions paid to the delegates from several lands in Vavard and
Tubor may be to thank for changes in allegiance and decisions among the
undecided, or perhaps it is the rebellions in several local Lithmorran lands,
armed freemen rising up and declaring they will not stand for Roland. But
when the results of the Baronial Council are released, there are 48 votes for
Celeste and 38 for Roland, while the other domains had apparently refrained
from casting their votes. Celeste is declared the winner and confirmed as
the Queen of Lithmore, despite grumblings from among Roland's supporters.

Though her rule has been confirmed, the challenges for the young queen are
only just beginning, the issues that plagued her sister's credibility still
waiting for her. And several votes won with high expectations for future
relations wait to see how she will live up to them. So too do onlookers
whisper that more than 40% of her feudal lords do not support her rule; even
though they seem willing to abide by the decision of the council, she is
likely to receive little understanding for any false steps.

Though the Queen has not been seen in person, the Throne has released the
following proclamation:

"Her Royal Majesty, Queen Celeste I, hereby commands the appointment of the
next Seneschal of Lithmore.

Further, as one of the Great Lords, the Seneschal is hereby commanded to
present him or herself to the Throne. If found to be strong in faith and
good character, they shall be annointed the Keeper of the Seal."

Many of Celeste's supporters queried the brief nature of the proclamation and
wondered why there was no mention of retribution towards Roland, hoping there
might still be more to come.
