A Comfortable Room
[Perfect]
A plethora of gaily coloured silk pillows with fringes and tassels
completely conceal the floor. A large pillow in the corner stands out, a
brooding black mass of velvet and fringeless. Screens of nature scenes
painted with the spare strokes of a brush that hint at and outline the
subjects, leaving much to the imagination. Behind the screens, silk
curtains and sheets painted with bright patterns hide the walls, pulled
back only around the windows that pierce the southern and western walls to
look out over a lush garden filled with an untamed riot of plants and
trees.

doesn't have a default winner. But, I also love chaos. So."

Karrin questions to Harrow, "I'll let you go first, any news on your header?"
Harrow says, "So I apologise that nothing big and flashy has happened yet, in regards to the header.
But, I intend to post it officially in the coming week. Some people have had hints of it already. RL
has just reared its head for me a little bit, but I still intend to focus on it."
Temi claims, "RL is a meanie-head"
Karrin states, "RL comes first, staff or player alike. And, headers usually ramp up slowly. She has
certainly thrown some stuff out on the grid, though, so if you were one of those people who got a
little teaser, spread some rumors."
Meiari wibbles in excitement.

Karrin wonders to Temi, "Your week?"
SunsetDreams is idle.
Temi claims, "Nothing big from me, I'm afraid. Trying to keep on top of any relevant requests and
things, but it hasn't been too much for me"

Karrin states, "The requests board is in lovely shape, despite my own RL craziness, so I appreciate
that. This time of year hits all of us, I think."
Karrin muses to Dorothy, "Miss Kansas?"
Dorothy states, "Well! I did a handful of evictions like I said I would, I caught up on some back-
end stuff as well so I can happily say the auction house has a -lot- of new goodies for it to rotate
through. As a fun reminder: that gets refreshed weekly so check it out semi-regularly."
woodsman claims, "I had a mad fast turnaround of a request, many love for that"
Temi nods in agreement.
Temi claims, "And it will be a random selection of new and old stuff each week"
Dorothy nods.
Karrin says, "I guess that leaves me. I've been not here a lot, my apologies. But, I'm keeping up on
staff discords and on our own discord if anyone yodels for help. I'm hoping things smooth, but we
know how those hopes go. I'm always available for poking via DM, though. Feel free to reach out if
I'm needed."
Karrin trails off, "Otherwise, other than the reminder about the Seneschal debate in...."
Karrin muses to Pippa, "When?"
Pippa declaims, "After this! We're probably good to send out announcements instead of waiting for
the whole until 5 thing"
Pippa wonders, "So figure 20-30 minutes or so to get started?"
Karrin says, "Sounds like a plan."

Dylan muses, "What is meant by "act on"? If I see something suspicious, can I talk to people about
it in RP, or does every cnote need staff approval?"
Temi finishes abruptly, "You can definitely talk about anything you see, it's more putting together
the implications of that - who it was if it wasn't clear, etc"
Bigman questions, "And AFAIK, it's more about the fact that if staff gets questions or has them,
they can read in the cnote how the conclusion came to be, right? "
Dylan asks, "So act on would be more like making an arrest?"
KindledFlames claims, "Like if you saw magery you are meant to use logical IC deductions as to who
it might've been and not say used the who list of who was online."
Karrin trails off, "It's more BIG deductions - to reduce meta. It was put into place before I took
over, but it doesn't offend me. And yeah, it's more to avoid meta. So staff can go, "No, you can't
assume that grey cloaked person was Sassafrass, because they have a grey cloak. That's too vague."

Temi states, "Reporting a specific person as having done something would be just as act on as
actually making the arrest, but saying something was stolen wouldn't be"
Karrin claims, "Truthfully, we've not really had a big issue with this. Even if staff reviews it,
we'll just let you know if it's too vague and needs more - to protect our spoopy peeps some. But, at
the same time, we won't tell you if you're right or wrong - just if the puzzle pieces are specific
enough for a go."
Dylan says, "Gotcha. Stirring up trouble without good IC evidence, and if unsure, cnote and ask
staff."
Temi nods in agreement.
Karrin says to Dylan, "Oh. Please do stir up tons of trouble."
Temi says, "Good plan"
Karrin remains chaotic. "Did you have any other questions?"
Dylan claims, "I can't type in real sentences anymore, apparently, but I think I get it. Thanks!
Other question is about roles."
Karrin nods.
Dylan queries, "Any open role is fair game as long as requirements are met? How does one check the
requirements?"
Karrin states, "It won't let you buy in if you don't meet the requirements. For covert guilds
(brotherhood or sanctum), all purchasing in should be turned off, you have to seek for those. For
everything else, the GLs have control over which roles are open and available, and which aren't. And
if it's open, you can purchase in."
Dylan claims, "Okie doke."
Karrin says, "If you can't see the requirements - I honestly haven't done it in so long I don't
remember - ask me, and I can look for you."
Emee claims, "Honestly as a new player Seeking is way better, help seek"
Bigman says, "Role review <number> shows some requirements."
Emee claims, "Buying into a role eats a lot of your starting exp"
KindledFlames states, "Also reduces RP you could get about learning about your role"

depends. For any player, first 75 hours can be rolled back as long as you're still in your cyan
period, so no big either way."

at all."
