Ghed queries, "Before we begin, folks, here's a reminder of the OOC Chat Pact: Everyone on TI does
the best they can, given what they know at the time, their skills and abilities, the resources
available, and the situation at hand. We will be respectful of this and each other at all times."
Today's Agenda is:
- Staff Updates
- Player Heartbeat
- Player Topics
Is there anything anyone would like to add to the agenda to make certain we discuss it today? If you
register a topic, please pre-write it so you're ready to present it when called upon.
Finally, who wants to scribe for today?"
Edison states, "That's the thing Ghed, I already am logging"
Temi trails off, "Well, if you're also willing to post it..."
Dalton says, "This feels like one of those "That's my secret captain... I'm always logging.""
Ghed pontificates to Edison, "Thank you!"
Edison says, "That costs extra"
Ghed has awarded you 2 QPs: scribe
Ghed states, "Okay, time to start this week's Staff Update."
Cal says, "#teamsamael"
Ghed has transferred Namar. [OOC]
Ghed states, "I took this week to focus on plots, some real-time RPA, house evictions (Leta helped),
and part of the Brotherhood minigame that was unfinished"
Temi gives a bright blue pennant decorated with the Harmons Hawk crest to Namar.
Ghed says, "Also workshopping Crusade stuff with other staffers"
Ghed says, "I think that's all from me. Oh I also read a book and did usualy typos and recommends."
Ghed queries to Temi, "What about you?"
Temi claims, "One guess what I've been working on... by which I mean, putting together crusade
plans, discussing plans with Ghed and Leta and posting plans. And by the way, there's a few notes
on the crusade quest, if you haven't seen them yet. They're, erm... pretty big."
Temi attempts to look innocent.
Clover says, "Amazing job."
Namar has lost link.
Edison watches as Temi tries to look innocent while orchestrating a war >:C
Temi claims, "I've tried to anticipate all of the questions you may have and included the ones that
Ghed and Leta asked me, but please feel free to ask if you have ones that weren't answered."
Ghed says, "Disclaimer: Temi wrote and thought of everything, I just threw popcorn at her"
Temi says, "By popcorn, he means lots of useful feedback"
Temi says, "But anyway, yeah, that's what's kept me busy since I got back home last week."
Leta claims, "I mostly just tried to ask annoying questions"
Zakalwe raises his hand. "At some point, not necessarily today, could we do like a brief tutorial
where we go through a few examples?"
Clover stops using a bright blue pennant decorated with the Harmons Hawk crest.
Clover holds a swaddled male babe with wavy platinum hair and amber eyes in her hand.
Ghed states, "Temi and I were thinking of running mock battles between us to test things up"
Temi nods at Zakalwe.
Temi states, "Sure."
Audrey trails off, "Reminds me of an elaborate tabletop conversion of Hearts of Iron..."
Audrey pontificates, "I mean that in a good way!"
Temi claims, "Though I'll handle all the calculations and stuff, with the help of my trusty
spreadsheet. The details are mainly for people who want to understand what will have the best
Audrey questions, "This seems like a lot of work have been put into it, for how long have you been
working on this system?"
Ghed claims, "This looks exciting and we've been looking forward to it all year"
Zakalwe exclaims, "I cannot wait!"
Temi says, "I've been thinking about it all year, but I just put together these details and actual
rules in the last week"
Ghed muses to Leta, "Alrighty, what about you?"
Leta declaims, "It was a busy week for me IRL, but I did handle a few requests and questions. I also
added higher-level foragables to various spots on grid. I helped ask questions about the mechanics
general boards Temi posted and sorted a lot of auction house items, like Ghed said!"
Leta declares, "I will need to go AFK soon though, as I am on mobile and on public transit! "
Temi states, "Dedication."
Temi nods at Leta.
Ghed declaims to Leta, "Thank you!"
Ghed muses, "Alright people, let's move on to Player Heartbeat: how has the week been for y'all?"
Audrey states, "Same shit, different day! As in, nothing new. :/"
Leta has gone AFK.
Kalana states, "Good good, on the quieter side, though not in too bad a way."
Zakalwe says, "Quiet, but good. Some positive movement IC, and healing well from surgery "
Dalton says, "Tiring occasionally but fun. I'm an old player thats returned after... 3'ish years ago
a vanishing so i'm re-learning everything as I go."
Audrey exclaims, "IC-wise however I have been having a blast! :DD"
Edison claims, "We should let lawfulness tank so Audrey can wage a one person war on crime"
Dalton claims, "True facts."
Audrey declares, "'Audrey, please, I stole this bread to feed my starving family' 'Don't care!'
Ghed pontificates to Dalton, "I forgot to say, welcome back!"
Ghed claims to Audrey, "Ohhh it's not going to be that easy if it tanks"
Dalton states, "Otherwise... It's been fun being back. A lot of new stuff... trying to re-learn my
way around the city again."
Edison queries, "I like the stretch goals for the war - if we get a new duchy can we name it Edess
Audrey wonders, "Wait, we're NOT going to burn Daravi sultanate and the children?"
Ghed wonders to Dalton, "Did you read help returning?"
Dalton states, "I have not."
Edison states, "Children make poor kindling"
Ghed states to Edison, "I beg to differ"
Leta pontificates, "But great mage ash!"
Temi states to Edison, "If you can convince the council that's a good idea, we can talk about it."
Cal blinks at Leta
Audrey claims, "Convince? He'll blackmail them."
Temi states, "That sounds like legit convincing."
Ghed muses, "Alright, is there anything bothering anyone about TI that can be shared here and now?"
Audrey muses, "Implying that other than blackmailing, there's no way to convince the council
Audrey declaims, "Hah!"
Dalton questions, "Oh! How often do the miniquests replenish by chance?"
Temi says to Audrey, "Nah, there's plenty of options."
Temi claims, "There's chances weekly, depending on city metrics"
Leta exclaims to Audrey, "Don't forget bribery! "
Temi states, "So different quests will restock at different rates"
Ghed nods at Dalton.
Dalton queries, "And I know about item stringing being kinda free but not to copy other items. If
you make a hardbound book could you string it to a hardbound tome instead or is it a nogo because of
there being a vellum tome?"
Dalton says, "The hard questions"
Ghed looks at Temi
Temi claims, "Yes, that's fine. You can't make it into a vellum tome, or vellum book, or any of
that. But the word is fine if it's a synonym."
Dalton claims, "Mkay. I wouldn't make a paperbound tome since... a tome typically has a hard back."
Temi says, "The restriction is generally 1) function, 2) material and 3) if there's an upgraded/more
Dalton declares, "But that's good to know!"
Ghed claims, "Alright, time to move on to Player Topics."
Ghed pontificates, "I've no registered topics!"
Ghed queries, "Would anyone like to raise anything?"
Cal wonders, "Taxes?"
Ghed says, "We'll get to that once the war begins"
Audrey says, "I don't pay taxes, only tithes."
Audrey states, "(for legal reasons, this is a joke)"
Ghed exclaims, "If there's no topics to be raised or anything, I can just send you all back grid!"
Dalton declares, "Buy more stuff from merchants!"
Dalton declaims, "Support your local merchants with commissions!"
Dalton states, "That's all I got."
Edison finishes abruptly, "Nothing here - it's been a quiet week"
Dalton states, "Oh... question."
Leta nods at Dalton.
Ghed says, "You're going to miss quiet weeks when Temi's legions are done with you"
Ghed questions to Dalton, "Yep?"
Dalton queries, "What should the rough estimate for book width be in characters per page?"
Dalton muses, "Like... which is best for formatting on grid. Any ideas from people who have written
or read books?"
Temi says, "@f"
Ghed claims, "I'd have to go and look at recently approved books"
Ghed claims, "Oh yeah @f"
Ghed claims, "Lol"
Dalton claims, "I'll keep it in mind. XD"
Audrey says, "I also, want to urge all of you evildoers, and even gooddoers, to commit crime. I want
you to bother people, get out there, and create ruckus, complete chaos! Contrary to what your
anxiety might be telling you, it's fun to commit crime."
Dalton says, "You heard the reeve. Go commit crime. You might even get away with it."
Dalton states, "At least temporarily."
Ghed pontificates, "Crime and antagonism is important, yep!"
Temi states, "She probably doesn't want to just arrest you."
Dalton claims, "Of course not."
Namar is idle.
Edison claims, "Doctors recommend you have at least 3 servings of crime per day"
Temi states, "You might be confusing crime with fruits. Easy mistake."
Audrey declares, "Jokes aside, antagonism keeps the grid fresh! And contrary to popular beliefs, I
will not be looking to shatter your kneecaps, yet!"
Edison's opportunity to accept the Personal Event has expired.
Ghed states, "But they might be looking to shatter yours"
Temi nods in agreement with Ghed.
Temi says, "Fun for all."
Audrey says, "They can't shatter what COVID has already destroyed."
Edison ; shatters her kneecaps anyways
Temi claims, "I hadn't heard kneecap shattering was a covid symptom."
Temi says, "Good to know."
Audrey states, "Covid really screwed up with my legs, I can barely run without feeling like my
muscles are about to give up on me."
Audrey says, "Or at least I'm pretty sure Covid had something to do with it"
Ghed claims, "Okay"
Ghed says, "I'm ready to send you all back"
Ghed claims, "Please remember to post rumors, cnote discoveries, and recommend each other for
meaningful RP =)"
Ghed exclaims to Audrey, "(sorry to hear that!!!)"
Temi states, "And ask questions about the crusade as you have them."
Temi comforts Audrey.
Clover is idle.
Edison questions, "Ghed, can I donate my collection of pogs to the war effort?"
Audrey pontificates, "Don't be sad about me, be happy about the upcoming crusade instead!"
Ghed trails off, "Engaging warp drive in 3..."
Ghed trails off, "2..."
Edison states, "Ghed, you don't get it"
Leta states, "Two months in, I still do not understand the pogs"
Ghed trails off, "1..."
Edison states, "They're collectibles"
