I'd like to know what kind of things everyone has always wondered what the rest of the Pbase thinks about? In part, I want to keep the forums active to give prospective visitors a sense that we're a strong, live community, and in part, I actually care what other people think! Ideas for polls, please post them on this thread!

I'd like to post some polls that are questions in my own mind, but I'm afraid the pbase would be horrified if I asked them because I'm seen as the person who can change things and remake the face of the game with or without the approval of players. So, whereas I have questions I want to ask, not with the intent of changing anything, I'm quite conscious that by asking, I may start a panic. What say you?

All joking aside, I think polls are fine. So are poles. *Thumbs up*

Kinaed, I'm not entirely sure where you're going with this... would the polls have anything to do with TI, or more about the players?

If it is the latter, perhaps I could suggest a new subforum of the board that isn't TI related, but just where we can talk about... well, whatever. Music, movies, culture, politics (uhm, maybe not.), religion (no, bad Charm!), our lives or whatever. Just for that visible community aspect, etc.

Questions the players would like to know the answers to around TI. Like:

How many people think that playing a mage is harder than playing a lawful character?

Actually, I think that would be a great idea for a poll. :) Except perhaps for the fact that there is a lot of grey area between 'mage' and 'lawful character'.

Something I always wanted to know:

How much time a day does everyone spend on average RPing??? I've never gotten past spot #9 or #10 in my most active weeks. >.>

I haven't ever been awarded for activity on this version of TI. I actually made the list once (reaching 6th), when the Royal Council was going on, but I'd slipped in the rankings again by the time the awards came about. :)

I know how many hours it takes to make the list, so I'm pretty much automatically out of the running, unless I'm on holiday or something. :)

Doubtless I would be in the leery of the questions camp, but I would likely answer them honestly.

Is playing a lawful character easier than a Mage...

It really depends on what you mean by easy. Do those chars tend to feel less risky and make me overall less paranoid? Yes.

Do those chars tend to be boring and hard to get off the ground? Yes.

It's a mixed bag. Just depends on what kind of "easier" you prefer.
