Last - a shorter version of "history"

As simple as it is, a new command - last, which would return only, lets say last 5-10 lines of given channel unlike history which returns massive amount of data.

I've seen this on another game and it was helpful (and oft-used), especially as you could determine a number of your own (up to 100 or 200 if I recall correctly...whatever the max was for the channel's history).

That's most likely disabled because they don't log tells? I may be wrong on this one, but it would make sense since it's a private OOC communication medium, so logging it would bear no sense to the game.

Re: history for tells.

There IS the 'tell log' feature, so there's a one-time check for tells you may have missed recently.

Technically that's a buffer, not log ;). I know that it's nitpicking for non-it fellas but there is a difference.

Consider the nit picked. :) The command to keep tells buffered is still 'log', but I agree with the concept that the game keeping track of player tells is unnecessary use of resources. The buffering is pretty helpful but beyond that, maybe look to logging from your client?
