With the advent of the cups items and the continued existence of cups/mugs, do we need these? Do people still use them, or are they needless spam on the brewing list?

I certainly like the RP of getting/giving/keeping bottles more than entire kegs. And "keeping" cups the same way doesn't make as much sense.

Unless there was a "bottles" item made that could allow things to get served in bottles in the same way.

Bottles are good for spirits in the way kettles are good for coffees and teas. As mentioned already, they're good for the RP (giving bottles of booze for gifts), they're also good for 'realism' (swigging from a bottle on a street, rather than an open mug). They're a good size, generally, between single drinks and the portable ponds that a cask could be. I use them frequently, myself.

My $0.02 for a discussion already concluded!

Thank you! If they're in use and folks like 'em, won't touch.
