Barring doors

Hi!

I'd love to see barrable doors in the game, which are basically doors that can be 'locked' from one side without the need of a key. The idea came about in trying ho to decide on how to give some privacy for the Troub guildhall baths. I wasn't sure that the sock on the doorhandle method would work against the travel command, and didn't want to issue keys to everyone either.

I could see it having utility elsewhere, for rooms that are public, but that are used for private things. For example, taking confession at the church, or in some public meeting rooms, etc. Make them reset after an amount of time, just to counter people logging off inside. Could make the rooms no-quit, but you'd still have to deal with idle-outers and LDers.

Thanks.

We have wedges in game - albeit they're weapon type objects instead of 'wedge' type objects. Hmm.

Isn't a barrable door the default for a phome anyways?

All doors are 'wedgable'. Takta includes a lock, but maybe she should include a 'door bar' instead? :)

'Help Player Houses' notes:
Locked doors, hidden rooms, libraries and keys cost additional and are NOT included in the base package. A basic purchase of a house has a room with a door and a 'bar' to wedge it shut.

Thanks, Another!

Takta and I were discussing it today. We think a basic (nothing fancy, like 'hard') lock ought to be free, so we can update the help file (if Takta still is cool with that).
