During one of the OOC Meetings, it was mentioned that the hunter/gather concept is somewhat lacking in economic impact and interdependence. One of my suggestions to help alleviate that somewhat was moving the Preserved Meat recipes into the Husbandry skill. Additionally, it was mentioned that there could be different 'cuts' of meat, and more variety in meats. Currently, most meat is "generic". But it might be fun to see this separated out into the various different meat types. Pork, Beef, Mutton, Poultry, Venison, with Fish remaining mostly as is.

Ideally, there should be two different cuts; Common, and Premium. So if you killed a boar/pig, you'd butcher it to get a slab of pork, then you could cut that into either Common or Premium slices, and then preserve that with salt. The recipe for making sausage should also fall under Husbandry, and there could be an added, higher end Husbandry recipe, likely 61+ for turning preserved meat into bacon. Mostly, I just think it'd be fun to see a butcher shop on grid, with various different meats for sale.
