There are a lot of fun negative things a person coming back could have. It could be only for a certain amount of time? It could result in skill/stat drops? A lowering of the max stats by considerable amount as well? A loss of memory? It could require recasting to sustain? Or something else to sustain?

The fleeing away, leaving combat, was accidental. I had done a navigate alms to check where it was in relation to where I was. As well as a few other places so I could look at options for where she would likely go to and what I could emote. I accidently hit j and then that's when the flee happened. ...

I think, with stuff like this, when you're considering stats like intelligence with how a character is played, it gets really difficult. Forgot. I was also going to say, in the same vein.. just consider other vNPCs around you generally in your roleplay. It makes things interesting and gives you other aspects to include in your emote. You know what could mix things up a little.. shoes with different heel heights... so you could make yourself taller or something when you were cloaked/masked/whatever.

Or spells. That did that too.

There are already IC herbs that do so apparently? So I see it as little different from that. There are always going to be aspects of the game that are sensitive for some people, whether that be violence, or whatever. It is just a matter of obtaining consent and making sure all parties are happy etc....
