Re: Restrain for treatment

It's not about fuss, it's about enabling commands to assist with RP. For example, inflicting cuts or burns when doing bloodletting or cauterization. NPC reeves clobber first and ask questions later. 😱 Yeah, I would honestly still say no. Even as someone who has done medical RP as the Physician. I w...

Re: Restrain for treatment

Could physicians get a restrain command that doesn't report as a crime, similar to the arrest command for reeves and order? Perhaps it could only be used in hospital-flagged rooms. It would be helpful for unlocking commands such as take, feed, place, and inflict, and so on that would be useful in t...

Re: Vague Fantasy: Pre-Consolidation

Speaking from personal experience, it's usually not a random whim. Most of the time, the aggressor will appear and blitz whoever he's targeting with overwhelming force and/or numbers to ensure that he doesn't lose. Most of the story and buildup happens before hand, and in the case of authorities loo...

Re: Vague Fantasy: Pre-Consolidation

I'm of the opinion that the sister game has a larger population primarily because it is, for lack of a better word, 'softer' on the PK. The big secret bad guys that try to hide from everyone else aren't immediately killed when they are found out. In fact there's not really any hard 'you must kill th...

Re: Vague Fantasy: Pre-Consolidation

As I said in discord, I would greatly, greatly, GREATLY like this. But, due to the sheer effort that would be involved in making a new grid and coding, not to mention that it shifts the focus of conflict between players to a more 'pve' type deal and all that... I don't really see it happening. As fo...

Re: Cheaper Sneak At Higher Ranks

One of the biggest deterrents to using stealth is the slow travel speed and high MV cost of sneaking. One change I would suggest is to have more skilled sneaks consume less MV and move faster. This would reward practicing and committing learn slots to the skill and give an immediate, obvious differ...

Re: Age Disability

I don't think anyone here is arguing there shouldn't be an age penalty at all. It's more that we just don't want to immediately turn into a pile of useless goo at age 45. I think that we all have to keep in mind that, in TI's medieval setting, the average life expectancy is much lower than we would...

Re: Age Disability

Time is a cruel mistress who waits for no one. I do, however, think the age disability serves an important purpose in ensuring that there is no, for lack of a better word, power creep. No matter how tuff'n'buff characters can get, age will eventually slow them down to make way for younger, stronger ...

Re: Use it or lose it

This is a tangent, but I would like it if the age decay on skills didn't apply when teaching. Wise old man passing on skills is totally a thing that I would do later in my character's life. If he lives that long.

Re: Low lawfulness and redlist idea

Redlisting someone doesn't make mobs lethal, only lethal mobs currently enforce the redlist. The redlist script is just far more aggressive towards redlist members than the script towards the usual targets (upper class and the fuzz), and 'mercy' may not work if redlisted. Being redlisted does overr...
