Re: Gambit Discussion!
This sounds all well and good in theory, but it's never worked on TI in practice. The society of TI is a top-down society. The upper echelons literally set the example (and enforce it) from an IC and OOC perspective. There is nothing players can do to peer pressure higher ranked individuals into act...

Re: Gambit Discussion!
I've always been of the opinion that GLs should be made, by staff, to play thematically. If they don't (or if they're inactive), their NPC superiors remove them from office. I think that would benefit the game immensely. It's strange that these NPCs would sit by and do nothing while GLs refuse to do...

Re: Guild Skills Restriction
But you are missing the point I've made before, so let me reiterate. You can have all those hobbies, and you will not get into any trouble for faking them. But what you ask for is the advantages, and that was reduced, as that is the only difference between roleplaying a field of tomatoes and having...

Re: Guild Skills Restriction
Tomatoes was an example. Don't be pedantic. I take herbalism so I can grow a garden. Potatoes, common herbs, all that. I'd still want herbalism if medicine herbs were above 36, and you could only grow food and teas lower. The knowledge to bandage a wound is fairly common, and slathering on salve is ...

Re: Guild Skills Restriction
This might make sense if guildskills didn't include things like "how to plant a tomato seed" or "how to sing" or if they didn't block you from learning them from 0. It'd make sense if you could learn the lower levels of guildskills, representing what's publicly known or what you can teach yourself, ...

Re: Guild Skills Restriction
Additionally, the reason given was that too many people were taking guildskills without it fitting backstory. Does staff actually know it doesn't fit backstory? I didn't see any discussion with the playerbase about this beforehand, which is a bit distressing. I frequently take quite a few, myself, b...

Re: Reintroducing Guild Notes
Please no. Gnotes remove avenues for RP, they don't add them.
Use in-game note boards as the others said. Most guilds (Order included) have one, they're just criminally underused.

Re: A Coin Conundrum: Gentry Versus Freemen
I'm personally not sure that drinking from fountains should restore MV like that, that cuts out a lot of interaction with PCs and from the PC economy if people never need to eat. You can't really just drink water and live. :? Also, if Assets don't require RPXP for gaining their automated incomes we...

Re: A Coin Conundrum: Gentry Versus Freemen
Voxumo: No, a Freeman cannot make an in two hours what a gentry does in OOC month. Whoever said as much was grossly exaggerating. Gentry income appears in their accounts at no penalty. Freeman jobs-wise, on a character with 85 con and around 400 MV, you could potentially work at a Freeman labor job...

Re: Interactive Haggle System
If NPC shops are selling for less than PCs can make it for via buying the ingredients themselves, post a request/typo note about it. Almost every time I've done so, the staff have adjusted prices. That said, the benefit to PC crafters are twofold: 1. Cheaper than NPCs 2. Customizing without having t...
