Have you ever wanted a little window on the side of your Mudlet that captured Visnet, OOC, and Tells into a separate window so you could still monitor those channels but not have your RP disrupted? Something that looks like this:

I mean... Why should a cyan get advanced to the same "level" as me when I have put in four years of dedication to this game playing GLs for the vast majority of it? I don't think it would attract new players.

So I was thinking about this some, and before I get into solutions I want to make sure I understand the problem. If I am reading you correctly there are actually three problems here:
1) People DCing in the middle of scenes
2) People not sticking around to RP or committing traditional RP avoidance ...

P.S. I don't think that 'sore loser' is a good phrase to use in your flowchart.
