People of Lithmore,

It is with heavy heart that I announce the removal of former Grand Inquisitor
Empena Cybinese and High Inquisitor Rothgar Astartes from the Order.
Repeated accusations have been made against their persons, suggesting
consortion with the Rubeus Manus, conspiracy to commit murder for political
gains, and heretical misuse of the pyre. The High Synod does not confirm
that these atrocities have been committed, but it does feel that these
pending accusations weaken the ability of the Grand Inquisitor and High
Inquisitor to function in their roles and that their positions within the
Holy Order impact the ability for the charges to be properly investigated.
The charges of heresy are remanded to the new Grand Inquisitor, who shall be
determined in upcoming days, and the secular charges fall clearly under the
purview of the Reeves and the Lord Justiciar. Any citizens with proof of the
veracity of these charges are encouraged to send them to the proper
authorities. Should the accusations prove false, either may seek to return
to the Order once again.

In faith,
Emmierich ab Braye
Cardinal of Lithmore

As the Cathedral bells tolled vesperam for evening mass, a great peal of
thunder echoed across Lithmore. Those with keen eyes saw a figure wrapped in
red and gold stepping out from behind the Cathedral bell, surrounded by
others in wind-whipped cloaks, equally as colourfully dressed.

Inside the cathedral, those gathered for sunset prayer looked up and saw the
same figures through the church roof windows.

"Ladies and gents, if I may have your attention." The honeyed voice begins,
carried hauntingly fair and clear upon the breeze.

"Through diplomacy and a slow burn of cat and mouse, your Grand Inquisitor
kept the peace in Lithmore. With her removal comes the end of our game of
chess. Those of you hunted by the Order may now step free and grow in
strength among us while the Archbishop flounders to regroup the Order
presence that he disbanded with his hubris. To those Inquisitors or knights
disowned by your church, you may find refuge with the Rubeus Manus."

"We sincerely hope that any Davite take this time to reconsider your beliefs
and see just how easily your leaders can turn on you. In all the ways that
they have."

The voice pauses for a moment, like the receeding of a crashing wave to allow
the information to sink in before coming back with more.

"You have already seen the winds and rains the theft of the statues of
Balathumel has caused. This will only worsen in the coming days and weeks
until the originals are returned, or a better offering can take its place.
This should be your focus now, not infighting amongst you."

The address apparently completed, the figure steps down from his place upon
the spire and out of sight. With another grumble of unnatural thunder, the
group disappear in a cyan flash while the wind and rain continues its
consistent drone.

On an early morning the citizens of the city were called to mass. Where the
Lady Earl Marshall Arielle le Kekoa herself made an unexpected speech.

"You've heard the taunts and lies of the Manus. You've felt scared because
you feel the order has weakened and we cannot aid you. Well cast those
heretical thoughts out now!

We have lost a leader. But one who'm has been accused of crimes against the
faith... Losing such a person does not weaken us. It strengthens us,
strength from the hardships to come and strength from purifying our ranks.
The manus thinks he can convince you to abandon your faith? No. You are
davites, the strongest faith to ever exist, and you are in the holy city
itself. You will not falter in your faith because you are so much stronger
than he is. The manus cower behind shadows, they try to twist your mind and
turn your faith against you. Don't let them.

Because the knights stand strong through everything. Any mage who thinks
they are safe is sorely mistaken. Because we do not hide in shadows and we
do not need to trick and deceive. For we are the holy order founded by dav
himself! We are your sword protectors and I would die a thousand times
before I ever let these monsters take our city from us.

Stand strong lithmore, you have the lord on your side and as long as you stay
in his light they can never win. I have faith in each and every one of you,
lord bless you citizens of lithmore. "

A book labelled "Theological Thoughts" carefully held close to her heart,
clasped between her crossed arms, the acolyte Helena von Konigssee left
Lithmore a few weeks ago, to travel to Pronsk, in Vandago.

Rumors are now spreading from Vandago that the acolyte von Konigssee was
coming back with a particularly well thought piece of theology. She has been
appointed priestess, and has been offered a chair in the Pronsk's Davite
boarding school, where she will meet students able to understand her
teaching. It has also been heard that this position has been choosen for the
sake of the community, since it will free her from the usual duties of a
priestess.

In the days following Cardinal Emmierich ab Braye's last announcement,
removing the last Grand Inquisitor and tasking her replacement with the
assessment of numerous charges against her, that replacement has now been
announced. Arielle le Kekoa, heretofore Earl Marshall of the Knights, has
risen into the position, apparently having impressed the High Synod with her
faithful approach to the circumstances and her strong leadership. Whispered
rumors suggest that potential corruption within the inquisition may also have
played a part in the decision, thus bringing in someone from another branch
to root it out. Regardless of the motivation, le Kekoa spent a full day with
the Cardinal, apparently discussing her understanding of the faith and
theology and taking her clerical vows.

Matters in Eastgale have recently come to a head, quite literally.
Supporters of Norbert ab Brandis have continued to be rounded-up, over the
last couple of weeks, many of them mercenaries and foreigners. The renegade
claimant himself, now bereft of both army and allies, was discovered in a
rude shack on the edge of the swamps, his untreated wounds festering. A
trial was held in the bustling town square of the capital, Beornsmouth, and
overseen by a trio of local magistrates. The verdict was a swift one, the
finding of treason ratified the Queen and sentenced to execution by
beheading, performed by the Lady Baroness herself. "Let it be known," she is
reported to have said in the aftermath, "That there is no rule in Lithmore,
but that granted by the will of Her Royal Majesty the Queen under the
guidance of the Lord of the Springs. Any that seek to question her royal
will shall receive her righteous justice in good measure."

In the days following, the mood of the city turned from sober to celebratory
as guests and entertainers arrived for the wedding of the Baroness to Godric
ab Loguire. The Queen herself -along with her Consort- arrived in-state,
accompanied by the ab Loguires from Amhurst county, all taking lodgings in
the newly rebuilt western wing of Highgate Hall in Beornsmouth. The day of
the wedding itself soon arrived, the court filled to bursting with the local
well-to-do, as well as the numerous visiting nobles- most notably the Queen's
busy entourage, and Lady Aguarossa's kin in the Lord and Lady ab Kovar of
Rosewood. The ceremony itself was a formal affair, with the lady ensconced
in ceremonial nielloed armor and Lord Godric garbed in fine velvets in the
colors of his house. The local bishop presided, and the traditional daisy
chain -delicately stitched together by matron of honor, Lady Emma ab Kovar-
was tied, while the ceremonial gifts- a cloak in the colors of Eastgale for
the Lord and a ceremonial key of Amhurst for the bride.

In the aftermath, many speeches and toasts were given by, and in honor of the
newly minted baronial couple- along with more than a few to the Queen and
Lithmore (especially as more wine was imbibed and patriotic Lithmorran blood
ran more quickly!). One of the highlights was a poetry reading by the
Baroness' eight year old daughter from her first marriage, the Lady Voletta,
orating the seminal 'Of Duty Bold and Passion Fleeting' by the (long
departed) blind bard of Vandago, Gerta von Oberhauser. Meanwhile, the common
people of the city were out and about on the streets in celebration,
attending to a feast and a dance put on by their lady.

The Marquis of Bastion, Lorrent de Bastion, now elected Lord Earl Marshall by
Knights and Crown, convenes the knights, squires, pages, and civilians of the
Keep to speak to them. He is, as ever, clad in aureate armor, a stoic
expression remaining on his scarred visage.

"I am but a man, my brothers and sisters, who will strive to do the right
thing," he rumbles out at those gathered, and there's such a long pause that
the crowd starts to wonder if that was his entire speech. Finally, he
continues,

"And you are but men and women, who must also strive to do the right thing.
Our mission is clear, to root out heresy as directed by the holy order of the
Inquisition. Yet we must also remember our oaths, for our strongest weapon
is not the sword. It is to live with honour, even when that honor may put us
in mortal peril, and inspire those that watch us for protection."

"Care for the helpless, even when it does not benefit oneself. Tell the
truth, even when it may lead to ones own death. Be chaste or faithful, even
when it aches to be so. Enact justice, even when it is bittersweet. Grant
mercy, even when one wishes to cause harm. That is what I ask of you, and I
shall do no else myself. Peace be unto you, my brothers and sisters, and
remember the fallen, as we shall be remembered one day."

With that, the Lord Earl Marshall steps away from the gathering, and begins
assigning patrols.

ON a morning warm and overcast, Micah dul Legrange, Baron of Nimrock stood
before a gathering of Bards, gentry, and freeman alike, wearing the Blue and
Gold of his house as he addressed the people.

"Citizens of Lithmore, it is both with humility and joy that I have the
chance to speak with you this morning, for it is with the knowledge that my
people have been given what was theirs, and to this point since the fall of
our mighty fortress, has been denied them, but also with the burden that we
the citizens of Nimrock have much to carry upon our shoulders since the
scurge upon our lands. We thought that we the princes of Vavard would stand,
that our power would be untouched. We grew greedy, we grew lazy, and we were
broken for it."

As The young nobleman speaks, he folds his hands in front of him, his tone
continuing to ring out over the crowd, warm, yet subdued as he addresses the
gathering.

"But we have atoned, and we have been brought into the fold under the crown
of Lithmore, and have been shown generocity, upon our recovery, thanks much
in part to the compassion and mercy of Her Royal Majesty, Queen Caitrin, who
has given us back are fortress, and the oversight of the lands that once was
our jewel, our strength. It is with that granting of control, that my family
was determined suitable, and I, after my father's passing, have sat to govern
the lands."

There is a moment of silence as The young Baron gathers himself before
speaking with strength. "I Give my vow to the people, that We in Nimrock
have learned from our folly, and we are stronger for it. I vow that my
actions in this city will be to strengthen the arts, to support the morale of
the citizenry, and to extend charity and guidance to those who should ask it
of me, in service to her royal majesty. For the lord of the springs has
heaped blessings upon us, and we of Nimrock are once more that shining jewel
and the spirit of Vavard, and we intend to shine brightly for the crown."
With those words, he steps away from the people, amidst murmurs to enter the
Hollow Globe Theatre with purpose.

Couriers bearing the Royal Physicians Guild marks, can be seen travelling out
of Lithmore in all directions. Southwards, to Farin. Northwards, to
Vandago. Some take ships down the Bren.

A Farin woman clad in Black and Brass can be seen in Southside, squinting at
the pages of an abridged book-- A mere page bound to leather. Her garbs
covered in dried blood, as her children clamour to her side, welcoming her
home, after her hard work among the poorest.

A Lithmorran man, smoking tabac on the balcony of the Bluebird, clad in Navy
and Silver, can be seen flipping through a full, darkly dyed tome, his
clothes unstained with blood, but his sleeves with silver buttons-- Ready to
be pulled back at any given notice, should the need arise.

Apothecaries are ordering woodworkers to engrave signs for the backroom, for
their apprentices. Surgeons, embroider it upon their sleeves with precise
needling, forming intricate scrollwork.

They are the ones clad in Black and brass, or Navy and Silver.

United by the winged staff, the men and women of the Royal Physicians Guild
all receive a copy of 'The Physicians Oath' by courier. Even if abridged.

A speech will follow, once the people have familiarized themselves with the
Oath. But for now? Rumors say that the Prime Medicus von Ferrus finally
found rest, not leaving his home for the entire night.
