I've long been troubled by a feeling that the Tubori help files we have paint Tubor as a tropical paradise, without highlighting the negative aspects of their free-wheeling culture - freedom, by Lithmorran standards, yet also selfishness and corruption. As such, I've embarked on rewriting the helpfiles to something more balanced and, I think, more interesting.

Comments/suggestions?

This is fantastic stuff. Manages to make it feel like a truly alien culture (which it should), while remaining approachable and RPable.

If I made a suggestion it would be to include something about piracy. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be an over-arching theme with Tubori, but a lot of folks seem to make use of it with Tubori PCs. And it's pretty nifty. (Edit: Also kind of serves to support the "us first, everyone else irrelevant" mindset. Takes it to an extreme, but still!).

Absolute favorite: Addressing the expert-level sand. Those who RP with me often know that the price of sand is an ongoing trope.

Loving it a lot, that is the only comment I can add
Blake Evernight tells you, "You, Sir, won my heart today. Are you single?"

Fantastic stuff! Adding the element of caring very fiercely about one's family and loved ones, but not extending that care to strangers, is a very fine addition that quite well compliments Tubori culture as it's currently established.

I added a bit of comment in the gender bias section - let me know what you think!

Added a little about piracy, gendered pronouns/fluidity, and Vandagan export of ice to the isles!

I love these so much. I mean they pretty much describe what I always imagined tubori to be, but now it's official. I mean when I was reading it it's like I was reading about my tubori character, which is a plus.

The best part is I don't have to change my character to conform to these standards.

As an aside, I have been talk with a couple of the other Tubori (since there seems to be a surge of interred in this duchy) and it may be worthwhile to write some help files about shipping/navy in Urth.
