Kinaed wonders, "
Today's Agenda is:

- Staff Updates
- Player Heartbeat
- Player Topics

Is there anything anyone would like to add to the agenda to make certain we discuss it today
?"

Unrecognized command.

Kinaed says, "
No one? That's unusual."

Arlow holds onto his salt-shaker.

Eirian claims, "
I had some feedback on resources, but I already posted it on the forums."

Kinaed says, "
Well, this will be a quick OOC Chat then."

Kinaed states to Eirian, "Thanks for that :)"

Temi says, "
Oh! I have one from someone."

Kinaed claims, "
If anyone thinks of a topic as we progress... do send me a tell."

Kinaed says to Temi, "Okay :)"

Prisca states, "
Maybe just a short announcement/plug for after."

Cerise queries, "
Are you requesting for player topics, Kinaed?"

Kinaed nods at Prisca.

Kinaed nods at Cerise.

Kinaed has transferred Bofaha. [OOC]

Kinaed queries, "
No one else?"

Bofaha queries, "
No one else what?"

Temi gives a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker to Bofaha.

Kinaed wonders to Bofaha, "Have a topic?"

Bofaha claims to Kinaed, "I will have something to complain about if there is time"

Empena claims, "
I have something small I could bring up"

Kinaed nods at Bofaha.

Nadya donks Arlow over the head with the bell.

Kinaed claims, "
Okay, I have Temi, Bofaha, and Empena."

Prisca waves to Kinaed.

Calanthe pontificates, "
Add me, please!"

Kinaed declares, "
And Prisca!"

Kinaed exclaims, "
And Calanthe. Perfect!"

Kinaed states, "
Okay, please pre-write your OOC topic intros so they're ready to go when called upon."

Kinaed claims, "
Try to keep it to one paragraph, not several please."

Bofaha deletes 17 paragraphs

Kinaed claims, "
Okay, on that note - let's kick off Staff Updates. :)"

Kinaed says, "
Last week I handled some whoppers of policy cases and made a few players very upset and/or sad. To that, I apologize. Please understand, it's a tough gig, but someone has to do it."

Kinaed has transferred Lorrent. [OOC]

Temi gives a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker to Lorrent.

Margaux has returned from AFK.

Kinaed says, "
Beyond that we had a very useful Staff Talking Point meeting which eventuated in a lot of work for staff."

Kinaed says, "
I handled some recommends, not too many, and asked Temi to redo the entire plot system - so if you have ideas for improvements with that system, please DO post them on the forums for our consideration."

Prisca queries, "
Who got the most gold stars?"

Bofaha states to Kinaed, "Oooh, i will have few pages for that1"

Kinaed says, "
Remaining on my desk - Jail Automation, Roles. Did I miss anything? I feel like I did."

Kinaed says to Bofaha, "Forums please. :)"

Bofaha nods.

Kinaed states, "
That's all for me - Az? You're up."

Niamh has lost link.
Niamh has reconnected.

Nadya questions, "
Is there a forum post about Roles?"

Kinaed has transferred Troy. [OOC]

Azarial states, "
Just a few bugs this week; trying to chas down a few crashes that did not leave me good cores."

Kinaed states, "
No, old spec lying around"

Nadya wonders, "
Is there a forum post about Roles?"

Temi gives a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker to Troy.

Azarial says, "
At this point, roles just needs the pretty front end specced."

Temi has created a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker[5].

Nadya claims, "
Ophf. My connection's bugging out."

Nadya has lost link.

Nadya has reconnected.

Nadya asks, "
Is there a forum post about Roles?"

Nadya says, "
Sorry. Connection bugged out."

Kinaed says, "
No, old spec lying around"

Azarial claims, "
I've been adding roles as I can, and in several spots they are already in play."

Kinaed says, "
Well, actually, there probably is something on the forums. Do a search>"

Azarial says, "
The delay is cloning across guild commands so that I can just hotswap across the codebase, as the initial round of roles will be replacing guild rnks."

Kinaed says, "
In terms of changes players may be interested in, there's some new help files for Daravi culture and clothing."

Steven has lost link.

Bofaha questions to Kinaed, "Do i smell some daravi applications?"

Kinaed says, "
Most things this week were bug fixes, so nothing I see here."

Kinaed claims to Bofaha, "Not at the moment, but apps for Daravi, Charali, and Hillmen tend to always be open."

Rothgar muses, "
For clarification, those new Daravi helpfiles are to be regarded as like general suspicions about them, and not wholly fact?"

Steven has reconnected.

Kinaed says to Rothgar, "Yes, absolutely. Lithmorrans know very little about Daravi culture."

Kinaed claims, "
The help files are a bit vague, even."

Nadya queries, "
But how would that help someone trying to play -as- a Daravi?"

Kinaed queries, "
Okay, Az - anything to add before we move to Temi?"

Niamh states, "
They're based on what has been seen in the specified places, not what is happening in the middle of Daravi."

Azarial says, "
Not that I can think of."

Kinaed claims to Nadya, "It doesn't, but that's not the intent since Daravi aren't an openly available race, nor is that knowledge intended to be open to the whole pbase."

Kinaed says to Temi, "You're up :)"

Troy has lost link.
Troy has reconnected.

Temi declares, "
Nothing exciting on my front this week. Just trying to keep up with plots and RPAs and such. Please remember that we do prefer stuff getting RPed, rather than just in plots, as a note. RP with staff is not the point of things!"

Temi says, "
Also some noble setups continuing."

Kinaed says, "
Oh, that reminds me of a change worth mentioning. Staff can now reject plots."

Prisca muses to Kinaed, "
Can Daravi-only helpfiles be made? can race be used like guilds are for helpfile access?"

Temi claims, "
And that about handles me.. I'll be working on plots going forward, including the system revamp."

Kinaed states, "
So if your plot doesn't meet RPA standards, is something that you can do yourself, etc - we can now (hopefully politely) reject the plot."

Bofaha questions to Kinaed, "Will that come with an explanation why it's rejected?"

Steven declares, "
Never polite. Just a giant red ASCII NO!"
Kinaed claims to Niamh, "
Your turn :)"

Kinaed states to Bofaha, "Yep"

Bofaha says, "
Aces"

Niamh states, "
The enormous ascii of Dwight Schrute's face with the word "FALSE.""

Niamh states to Kinaed, "Writing."

Steven says to Niamh, "Rofl."

Kinaed has transferred Lyana. [OOC]

[Action: Lyana is sitting on a floating cloud with all her single ladies. ]

Temi gives a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker to Lyana.

Kinaed has transferred Norrig. [OOC]

Temi gives a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker to Norrig.

Lyana says, "
Oh dear"

Lyana holds a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker in her hand.

Niamh claims, "
Finalized the Daravi helpfiles with Kinaed and Temi's input and help and got a very satisfying start on the Stealth Overhaul spec. On the second bit, I have had some -excellent- feedback from stealth using players so far, but if you're one of them and I haven't harrassed you yet (and you're interested, of course), please get in touch. "

Lyana swings her bell up and down, eliciting from it a clear, mournful tone: bong, bong, bong, bong.

Norrig bows to Temi.

Lyana states, "
Damn"

Prisca looks around for a hiding place.

Troy has lost link.
Troy has reconnected.

Eirian claims, "
Awesome."

Lyana sniffs

Bofaha muses to Niamh, "
Stealth overhaul! where do i kiss for that?"

Prisca moves towards her chosen spot.

Norrig states, "
This toy is wicked."

Elle claps.

Prisca reaches her position.

Eirian claims, "
Stealth really needs it. Glad it's getting some love."

Niamh thinks, "
My ring!"

Prisca does her best to hide.

Prisca attempts to hide.
Prisca feels sufficiently hidden.

Lyana moves to protect niamh.

Kinaed has transferred Heydan. [OOC]

Heydan wonders, "
Did I miss anything?"
Temi gives
a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker to Heydan.

Niamh says, "
I don't have a ring. Pajamas."

Niamh exclaims to Kinaed, "Done!"

Lyana giggles.

Prisca breaks her cover as she moves.

Prisca muses, "
Are hide and stealth getting merged like I think was planned?"

Steven claims, "
Footie pajamas"

Lyana states, "
Protect Niamh's pajamas."

Kinaed muses to Niamh, "Anything further before we move on? :)"

Prisca states, "
Sneak*"

Kinaed claims, "
Oh, you said done above."

Lyana gasps. "
I can't fit my bell in my purse. Oh gawd."

Kinaed states, "
Just for the record, guys, sadly OOC Chat gets spammy for me, and I can miss things people say relatively easily."

Niamh declaims to Prisca, "The skills are combined into an overarching "Stealth" skill, yeah. Nothing finalized yet, this is just me working on it - Kin hasn't approved!"

Kinaed says, "
So if you say something to me and I completely fail to respond, I probably didn't see it."

[Action: Lorrent is on his iphone just listening. ]

Kinaed declaims, "
Okay, Player Heartbeat!"

Nadya has lost link.

Bofaha states to Niamh, "Two master slots are the least of stealth problems though"

Kinaed questions, "
How was the RP this week, folks?"

Nadya has reconnected.

Arlow gives two thumbs up.

Niamh says to Bofaha, "Agreed."

Orik starts writing a note. (This is an OOC action)

Lyana says, "
Omfg"

Calanthe declares, "
Lovely!"

Norrig nods firmly: "
Good."

Lyana states, "
It was so fun."

Lorrent claims, "
Ive had a buttload of great RP and drama"

Kinaed states, "
I'm very glad to hear these things."

Bofaha states, "
Rp... was. That's about as far as I will go, withdrew from most of it"

Lorrent states, "
And political RP, with so many nobles"

Margaux states, "
Only had one scene, but it was good."

Lyana trails off, "
I thought being a noble was hard, but..."

Norrig states to Lorrent, "That was classy."

Heydan says, "
Didn't get much this week, mostly building for next week. Setting the scene ect."

Kinaed exclaims, "
Also, I noted that we moved up into the top 10 on TMC this week, so to those people who are voting consistently - thank you!"

Rothgar exclaims, "
Great stuff. Been good getting back into the Order stuff, real exicted to see about plotting with the Knights to do some stuff, looking forward to getting back to ODT with the friends. Gonna be a good time!"

Kinaed smiles.

Norrig smiles to himself.

Orik finishes his note.

Lyana curls up on her cloud.

Lorrent claims to Norrig, "I try"

Kinaed muses, "
Anything shitting anyone that they'd like staff to know about, not including Player Topics?"

Nadya declares, "
I'd like to say that the newbies need some help in some regards. Please be careful around cyans, and don't assume they're old players all the time!"

Prisca exclaims, "
Things have been fun and antagonistic!"
(This is an OOC room. Nothing counts for rpxp here.)

Prisca nods in agreement with Nadya.

Lyana nods.

Lyana says, "
I help newbies when I can, yo."

Heydan states, "
Good point Nadya."

Farra is idle.

Nadya states, "
Shiggy diggy, yo."

Heydan says, "
I have no idea what I am doing half the time."

Norrig says, "
I treat each of you as newbies."

Elle nods with Nadya.

Halgrim pontificates, "
I've recieved plenty of help so far!"

Eirian claims, "
I'm getting ready to wrap up this character, so if anyone needs any last scenes who hasn't already reached out, please send word."

Heydan claims, "
Same."

Lyana gives silver moon hugglies

Nadya states, "
Well, that's because you're a golden retriever operating a computer somehow, Heydan."

Calanthe states, "
For the people with awesome RP, don't forget to recommend your partners. :)"

Lyana sniffs.

Norrig nods at Calanthe.

Kinaed claims, "
Oh, one thing shitting me - please if you issue a cyan warning to a newbie, be careful about your approach."

Lyana nods.

Lyana claims, "
I keep forgetting. feh."

Prisca claims to Eirian, "
We're gonna miss you and your events, looking forward to what you come up with next :)"

Bofaha perks up and turns to Kinaed "
Elaborate?"

Lorrent asks, "
Is assisting help newbie protection the typical approach?"

Kinaed claims, "
If it looks like you're threatening a cyan OOCly to get them to do what you want instead of just saying 'hey, you seem new here. I just want to let you know that you're in a dangerous spot of RP here. I'll let you redo that if you want""

Kinaed states, "
... you can get in trouble with policy."

Rothgar muses, "
Question : In the past, I've issued newbie warnings to those who were whoinvis by assisting the helpfile to the entire room. Is there a better way to do that?"

Calanthe wonders, "
I noticed that using osays with cyans still docked XP. Was that a change at some point?"

Elle wonders, "
Maybe some standard suggested language might help people with respect to warnings?"

Eirian states, "
The warning might still fire in a public place."

Kinaed nods at Elle.

Lyana nods.

Temi claims, "
It doesn't charge cyans, but I think it does charge those with cyans. I don't think that's recent."

Kinaed pontificates, "
We may need to dummy up a newbie help file there. I like Rothgar's approach, just not sure the help file is well designed for that. I think it's when people start using their own language that it can come across like 'Do what I say, newbie, or I'm gonna f-you up!""

Lyana states, "
I usually just gently speak with them and then giggle a lot."

Eirian states, "
Or may just seem like OOC pressuring."

Farra is no longer idle.

Calanthe says, "
Ah! I thought it was free around cyans so it didn't cost older players to be helpful. Thank you."

Lyana states, "
If they have questions I answer."

Kinaed claims, "
So on that note, I'll make a standard newbie warning help file or review the existing one, and the only way people should give out newbie warnings will be to use that file going forward."

Eirian declaims to Calanthe, "I thought so, too!"

Calanthe says, "
Oof, I'm very laggy. Sorry."

Kinaed nods at Eirian.

Rothgar makes a thumbs-up.

Lorrent wonders to Kinaed, "Is that occuring?"

Temi states, "
Newbie warnings are generally only necessary in tense situations"

Niamh has lost link.
Niamh has reconnected.

Empena is idle.

Norrig chains a newbie to himself so he can use osays without penalty forever.

Lyana nods.

Kinaed nods at Temi.

Heydan pontificates, "
I've honestly haven't felt threatened in RP yet. So I guess I'm doing it right!"

Lyana claims, "
Oh I thought you meant like, just help."

Kinaed nods at Heydan.

Bofaha states, "
I usually issue it only after a scene, so if they want to repeat the line of rp with bofaha, well, you've been warned"

Halgrim chuckles. "
Oops."

Kinaed wonders, "
Okay, anyone want to mention anything else before we jump on our Player Topics?"

Temi states, "
We did have an instance of it recently, though no reason to think it's widespread or anything more than awkward phrasing."

Nadya says, "
Honestly, most newbie situations can be solved if you keep your pimp hand strong."

Norrig says, "
Hmmm."

Lyana says, "
Nadya."

Lyana claims, "
Language."

Empena is no longer idle.
Empena has returned from AFK.

Norrig claims, "
I want a command that does the opposite of glance; that just checks for someone's equipment."

Kinaed states to Temi, "I got a report of people newbie warning people when the newbies enter the room, and stuff. And one when a newbie was standing in a room where other things happened."

Temi nods at Kinaed.

Bofaha claims, "
O.0"

Kinaed states, "
Anyway, water under the bridge. No one seemed to get hurt in any of those cases."

Vlora is idle.

OOC channel is now
OFF.

Eirian queries to Norrig, "Fail a peek?"

Kinaed declares, "
Okay, Player Topics! :)"

Norrig eyes Eirian: "
Nah just worn gear."

Kinaed questions, "
Temi, you have a topic on behalf of a player?"

Farra states, "
I'll say! Be up-to-date on help courtesy. I haven't had a chance to play Farra's more tempermental side of things, but I hope to soon."

Orik keeps his cyan up for xp bonus for other players, but otherwise isn't a newbie.

Kinaed smiles at Farra.

Nadya has lost link.

Nadya has reconnected.

Temi finishes abruptly, "
Yes, I was asked to bring a topic up for someone, who didn't want it to feel like pressuring anyone - just getting consensus"

Kinaed claims, "
Yes, please remember folks - it's a standard noble power to have a Reeve whip a commoner for perceived misbehavior."

Eirian muses to Norrig, "You're right, I don't think we have one of those. Maybe suggest a 'glance <person> eq' on forums?"

Vlora is no longer idle.
Vlora has returned from AFK.

Temi claims, "
So, twice now, I've had people flee without giving a chance to pursue. Once, a cloaked figure in the swamps, who didn't pose at all (they didn't need to by policy, as they were traveling, but I posed chasing them and they went to sprint really quickly so I mean eh), and just now a pick pocket who stopped to pose running off, then sped ran rooms. Is it better by policy to just attack right away to keep people in the room? I was trying to give time to pose instead. Actually if you could bring that up in the OOC chat, I won't be here for it, but I guess I'd like to know what people prefer to happen for these kinds of things."

Kinaed claims, "
The flee policy is that a person does not have to wait around."

Nadya states, "
Please remember that 'help sanctuary' is always an option."

Kinaed states, "
Initiating combat is fine, just note that it is the use of the FINISH command that requires all of the HELP PK stuff."

Bofaha states, "
Can always get a tracker and, well, follow them if they just run away. Though it's not nice to just quietly leave without emoting"

Prisca says, "
You there's other ways besides combat to keep a character in a room as well, help guard for instance"

Farra states, "
I wish there was a code-command that says 'Hey. I ain't letting you just leave' but isn't 'I'm straight-up attacking you'. Like, an 'ENGAGE' command for those situations."

Eirian states, "
That pick-pocket was me. I waited around and gave them a chance to pose, gave them a chance to block exits, and when things seemed reasonable for an escape, I posed making one and then went ahead with it."

Arlow claims, "
Sort of a respect thing. If you dip out when given the chance to RP once, you probably won't get that chance a second time."

Kinaed states, "
So someone can beat the snot out of you and leave you lying in a ditch if you're perceived to be threatening."

Lyana states, "
Oh god"

Kinaed nods at Arlow.

Calanthe has lost link.

Eirian claims, "
The folks saw my character's face, so... I figure that'll be fun later."

Calanthe has reconnected.

Niamh exclaims to Farra, "Guard command!"

Temi grins at Eirian.

Eirian claims, "
I'm looking forward to it."

Kinaed claims, "
Okay then, there's Temi's player's topic."

Heydan claims, "
I like Farra's idea except if someone is running ICly and you are chasing them ICly the doing that through the syntax seems fine. After all I have a decent track skill that I'd like to make use of."

Orik claims, "
Perhaps initating combat, without actually attacking, this then negating the ability to use trav or nav, "

Farra nods at Heydan.

Kinaed nods at Orik.

Kinaed claims, "
Or guard the exits."

Kinaed claims, "
Bofaha, you're up."

Farra states to Niamh, "Guard feels a bit off for what I mean. Just kind of an OOC bump."

Bofaha states, "
Mine is quite simple and a followup from some weeks ago regarding whoinvis. We still have players who not only live permanently using it but also antagonise/threaten other players. This creates a very uneven playing field on OOC level, and kind of makes those victim players wonder whether they should just live on whoinvis too. And I think that would be a bad move, as it would be determinantal to the RP instead of driving it."

Lyana says, "
Eating but still listening y'all"

Norrig queries to Bofaha, "Threaten?"

Kinaed claims, "
I've noted whoinvis use to go way down. I think I might just make it cost something to go whoinvis."

Norrig queries, "
Icly or oocly?"

Bofaha states, "
Icly"

Norrig nods.

Farra muses to Kinaed, "What about halfing XP gains or something?"

Kinaed claims, "
The idea was never for it to be casual use."

Orik asks of Kinaed, "Like osay?"

Kinaed nods at Orik.

Norrig says, "
Halfing is too much."

Kinaed claims to Farra, "I don't like halving gains, because I think incognito RP is valid and sometimes exciting."

Nadya states, "
I mean, whoinvis in itself is basically stating that your character isn't avaiable for RP in general."

Kinaed says, "
But it also shouldn't be used in earnest as a default setting for a character."

Bofaha states to Kinaed, "Maybe make it a policy that it's to be used when you do stuff that warrant it. Kinda like accept command where you have to provide a written explanation why are you going whoinvis"

Nadya claims, "
Incognito RP can still occur, even when visible."

Margaux muses, "
Maybe give a weekly whoinvis allowance?"

Kinaed nods at Nadya.

Heydan muses, "
What exactly is wrong with people living in whoinvis?"

Heydan claims, "
IRL you don't have a who list."

Rothgar claims, "
This isn't IRL."

Kinaed claims to Heydan, "Makes it very hard for people to arrange RP with those doing it."

Heydan claims, "
Valid, Rothgar."

Nadya claims, "
Right, but this isn't IRL. The where an wholists exist to encourage RP."

Kinaed states, "
Particularly nonconsensual RP"

Elle asks, "
You can send messengers to whoinvis people now, ya?"

Prisca nods.

Temi claims, "
People also can't log out of IRL."

Niamh nods at Elle.

Temi grins.

Kinaed nods at Elle.

Farra states to Kinaed, "Sure. But it's also taking a code-defense against certain OOC things. It would make sense for me for it to be something a sneaky person can use, but understand that it might not be optimal RP to do that. You can still cloak and mask and stuff."

Niamh claims to Elle, "Yeah, you can send messengers to whoinvis people."

Nadya states, "
I want the log the frak out of IRL."

Orik claims, "
I don't understand the need for whoinvis, I mean you can turn off rp so you can't be tracked, only thing it's doing is ooc making the player unavailable, which I think you can do with tell something"

Cerise says, "
People on whoinvis are never on the receiving end of RP, while others are, for the best or the worst."

Bofaha claims, "
You know, i have 19h/day available. So if I want to engage with those people, and know where they hang around - I personally can just camp it. But most playerbase doesn't have this luxury. And those really will struggle to engage with said players."

Elle states, "
Well, then there are ways to find them, I mean, I am indifferent about the WHO list, because I think it can be used for both good and bad, but as long as there are ways to contact people IC and OOC, that's the main thing."

Kinaed says, "
And it was a staff design decision that whoinvis will not save players from long distance spells. Whoinvis is a protection from wholist information, but not a protection from IC stuff, so people can detect you're around."

Farra nods at Cerise.

Niamh nods at Elle.

Rothgar states, "
I do believe, however, that we have an ongoing forum board about this. I think it's important to bring up here, but the ideas will be better stated on the forums about this subject, as we just had that converation about 3 or 4 weeks ago."

Kinaed nods at Rothgar.

Kinaed states, "
With that note, I think we should move on - but do expect an incoming cost for switching whoinvis on so that we can combat casual use."

Nadya states, "
Though... How about temporary accounts? This is kinda similar."

Kinaed says to Nadya, "I'm not sure I understand that query."

Farra nods at Kinaed.

Nadya states, "
Like, people who make temporary accounts as a mean of communication between people."

Nadya trails off, "
Like..."

Farra wonders, "
Isn't that against policy?"

Kinaed queries, "
Oh, you mean Janus on behalf of Rubeus?"

Prisca wonders, "
Something like Janus?"

Nadya claims, "
LIKE Janus, but not Janus. Janus is fine."

Temi states, "
Those are on their existing account - the policy is against creating new accounts."

Farra has returned from AFK.

Kinaed claims, "
Janus is not a PC, but an OOC char designed specifically for this chat and to run stories."

Nadya states, "
I've just had issues in the past with some people doing something similar via tells."

Nadya says, "
Well, that's what I meant, sorry about the odd warning."

Kinaed says, "
Players may request a Janus-type char for OOC reasons only, from staff. And get permission."

Nadya states, "
NOT WARNING. Wording."

Kinaed claims, "
In terms of IC play, players are expected to use their PC to do all things done by their PC or otherwise request a plot."

Elle claims, "
Might be good for Janus to have that info in their help player file cause it was unclear, to me at least."

Kinaed claims, "
Special circumstances can be arranged via the Request Board."

Kinaed says to Elle, "I'll make a note that players doing that need to have it in the help plyer info, that's a good idea"

Prisca claims, "
Also, we have a functional anon board now which should fit most sneaky communication uses."

Farra nods in agreement with Elle.

Kinaed states, "
Okay, Empena, you had a topic? Please introduce us. :)"

Temi has transferred Drazhan. [OOC]

Temi gives a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker to Drazhan.

Steven is idle.

Lyana is eating pizza like a boss

Kinaed gently pokes Empena

Empena trails off, "
Two things, one is - There was a discussion/call for more lore entries. What happens if the place the lore would be for is no longer on grid? Second, there's a lot of rooms, say ... hay lofts or rooms that mention flowers etc, but they aren't foraging findable "

Steven is no longer idle.
Steven has returned from AFK.

Kinaed claims, "
Submit it anyway and let the staff figure it out."

Empena nods.

Kinaed claims, "
It'd be really awesome to have players enrich the game with our history."

Eirian is trying!

Kinaed questions, "
I wonder - does anyone use city lore, and how good/bad or indifferent is it?"

Nadya states, "
I use city lore pretty regularly."

Safir states, "
I've used it a bit since I've been back."

Troy says, "
It's cool to have"

Orik does not.

Elle claims, "
I like city lore, great way to pass time in a scene that's slow."

Kinaed muses, "
Does it feel reasonably robust?"

Bofaha states, "
I used to use it, i don't on this pc for, well, ic reasons"

Empena says, "
I like it, I did suggest the thought of bring able to have items check it etc"

Niamh comforts Bofaha.

Elle says, "
And on very very rare occasion find secrets."

Bofaha claims, "
But loved it otherwsie"

Nadya states, "
Yeah-- Though, single lore entries can take up half a screen."

Bofaha grins at Niamh.

Kinaed nods at Nadya.

Kinaed says, "
Some places have more history than others."

Prisca states, "
Prisca's an out-of-towner, so didn't think having lore would fit. I'm letting her slowly rank up since she's been around around 4 IC years now"

Elle claims, "
It could have more though, tbh, I had a character with master lore and while it gave a bit more, I think there could be more layers at higher evils."

Niamh claims to Prisca, "I like that."

Kinaed nods at Elle.

Eirian says, "
I like higher evils."

Nadya says, "
Higher eveils."

Bofaha is the higher evil

Elle grins.

Nadya claims, "
I butchered it further. Help."

Heydan claims, "
I haven't messed with lore, but I found a few rooms that you couldn't fish from and I know some without foraging that probably should."

Nadya states, "
Bofaha, you're the 2% milk of evils."

Kinaed claims to Elle, "Please do make suggestions. It'd be great if we had a lore <Lore entry> command a person could just do from any room and have it go to staff for review and addition"

Bofaha cries

Eirian says, "
Lore is great. More lore, please."

Lyana stoppes eating pizza before she finished the damn thing

Heydan says, "
I spend a lot of time outside the walls."

Margaux says, "
Make lore not war."

Drazhan states, "
I've taken it to start using it. Because I've never played around with it before."

Drazhan says, "
I will say I'm looking forward to lore hunting."

Orik is scared that there are enough levels of evils to have some distinguish them as high.

Elle says, "
Will do, and yeah, we need people to feed lore. Which is a reminder to myself, to write up all the things I say I will."

Empena nods.

Norrig nods at Margaux.

Eirian states, "
I like it when lore is used to point to secrets, too -- it's a good way to make the command useful for more than knowledge sponging."

Kinaed finishes abruptly to Empena, "Item #2 - please bug those"

Bofaha states, "
Remember that you can get silver for qp, and you get QP for submiting lore"

Azarial grimaces as the air brakes squeal.

Bofaha declares, "
So write the lore!"

Nadya asks, "
Can I just say that this meeting is going very smoothly?"

Elle muses, "
I have noticed a few really interesting spots with no lore that really should, should we flag those?"

Kinaed claims, "
Okay, Prisca, you're up :)"

Elle nods with Eirian.

Prisca says, "
Just thought I'd plug Prisca's mercenary group! If you're interested in a combat role but don't want the responsibility of being a reeve or knight, it may be for you! I'll be getting some recruitment flyers posted in the near future, and I will hopefully have time to plan some fun ST events soon. (Maybe the week after next)"

Niamh claims to Kinaed, "Typo might work just as well. Flavor Foraging ftw."

Kinaed nods at Niamh.

Nadya claims, "
On that note, we really -do- need knights and reeves as well."

Margaux questions to Nadya, "Can't have that. Quick, where are my grenades?"

Kinaed nods at Nadya.

Vlora flexes at Ndaya

Niamh has lost link.
Niamh has reconnected.

Nadya states, "
VLORA NO."

Bofaha brands Vlora for symetry

Kinaed questions, "
Calanthe, please introduce us to your topic?"

Calanthe exclaims, "
Please read general board 37! I'd like to try creating events for those who tend to miss the bigger ones due to RL conflicts, To do that, I need to know when it's slowest which I believe is usually while I'm not logged in. Thank you!"

Calanthe says, "
Sorry if that was delayed, I got a big chunk of the room text all at once just now."

Eirian states to Calanthe, "That's awful thoughtful and nice of you."

Kinaed smiles.

Kinaed nods at Eirian.

Orik keeps hoping that someone will introduce their topic like they were on the dating game or something similar.

Bofaha claims to Calanthe, "Aussie primetime is usually dead"

Lorrent is idle.

Lyana claims, "
Thanks cal. you are so sweet"

Calanthe says to Eirian, "Ah, thank you."

Kinaed claims to Calanthe, "Please let staff know if we can support your efforts in any way via the Request Board. Or maybe also consider having a look at ST code too if you're interested in 'Game Master' kind of event running."

Halgrim is idle.

Norrig claims to Calanthe, "That's thoughtful of you."

Kinaed states, "
Alright, Farra is a new addition to our topic list. :)"

Kinaed questions to Farra, "Farra, would you mind introducing us to your topic?"

Farra exclaims, "
I wanted to remind / encourage players with Important Names -- looking at you nobles and Guild Leaders in general, but gentry too! -- to make sure you've got an up-to-date rank/title and your full name in your player help file. These sorts of things would be well-known IC details about your character and can help others keep immersion/RP accuracy by not having to refer to a Countess by 'Farra' to friends 'cause I didn't have information they should know in a place that it should be known. Just something that takes 5 minutes that helps others out! :)"

Norrig nods.

Heydan claims, "
Ugh, titles."

Kinaed questions, "
Okay, that looks like all of my player topics today. Do people want to talk about anything else, or are we happy to end early?"

Heydan pontificates, "
Did I say that out loud.... sorry. Hehe!"

Bofaha passes on a bad joke, something around the happy and end

Cerise nods too. Add your firstname too in the helpfil, since knowing only the last name is problematic from an ooc standpoint.

Elle declares, "
Good point, yes!"

Halgrim is no longer idle.

Halgrim has returned from AFK.

Calanthe queries, "
May I piggyback a request-suggestion on that, Farra?"

Kinaed says, "
I didn't think I'd have time for Staff Talking points today, but if we end early, I might be able to resolve some of those."

Drazhan states, "
I'm never happy."

Farra suppresses @heydan with the weight of titles.

Farra can't type. Oh well.

Farra nods at Calanthe.

Rothgar muses, "
Vast tracts of land coupled with heavy, firm titles?"

Farra declares to Calanthe, "Pipe in!"

Norrig claims, "
Am ready to wrap up."

Arlow says, "
Hello"

Norrig states, "
Oh."

Farra nods in agreement with Rothgar.

Norrig looks at Cala.

Bofaha disposes of a bell of burnished iron with an inquisitor-shaped striker.

Niamh has lost link.
Niamh has reconnected.

Kinaed finishes abruptly, "
Actually, since we have 10 minutes left, maybe I should ask - "

Calanthe says, "
In the same vein, consider using names in letters and rumors for historical accuracy."

Heydan states, "
You would far surpass me Farra. I have none and I am fine with that. Just drink my booze that is all I ask."

Heydan winks.

Kinaed claims, "
In terms of game systems, how are people holding up? I hear we have some feedback to process on assets, but we haven't finished our price reviews yet."

Farra becomes Seneschal and makes Lithmore a Dry Duchy.

Kinaed muses, "
Any other systems players have noted being clunky?"

Calanthe says, "
It's not always clear who did what, especially for new players or players who were absent during the event."

Eirian states, "
Yeah. Plot system. But sounds like that's getting fixed. :)"

Nadya says, "
Clunky systems... Hm."

Bofaha muses, "
Maybe there could be an option to peek at titles of quashed rumors to avoid posting repeats?"

Prisca declaims, "
Player shops could use some work! I always dread arranging inventory"

Kinaed smiles at Eirian.

Troy has lost link.
Troy has reconnected.

Kinaed states, "
I hope so; looking forward to player feedback on that one since we're making a concentrated effort to revise it."

Drazhan claims, "
Yeah a nicer way to inventorise p shops would be awesome."

Eirian queries, "
Revise it for usability or will there be policy revisions as well?"

Safir has gone AFK.

Empena states, "
The old helpfiles that showed which PC had which shop or roster was helpful "

Prisca nods at Empena.

Kinaed claims, "
Anything is up for grabs re: plots at the moment. Policy, etc."

Farra pontificates, "
Oh, I have one quick thing-- actually, it's something I should bring up one-on-one with a staff member, so I worry about it later!"

Niamh says, "
It wasn't feasible for me to update that manually, sorry."

Kinaed states, "
We're keen to hear feedback, though we cannot promise we'll agree with or execute all ideas."

Niamh states, "
Hopefully the roster command will be in soonish instead."

Calanthe says, "
Maybe work with the Merchants Guild to have an IC, manually updated list of PC shops."

Farra declares, "
Roster command would be great!"

Drazhan claims, "
There's notice boards you guys could easily post and edit a master list on."

Orik states, "
I just thought of something. Is it possible to get a list of shops added to starter items? I used to use help roster, but now it's a bit more complicated to find a shop if you don't know the city."

Norrig claims, "
Eirian updated it constantly."

Eirian states, "
That old roster helpfile was -always- out of date. Notice boards would probably end up that way, too, but at least it'd be IC and not OOC."

Prisca claims to Orik, "
There's a map of lithmore that you start with that has many shops listed, though it may or may not be up-to-date"

Eirian says, "
Roster command will be great, when it happens. I wasn't sure that was still happening."

Temi states, "
It exists.. just not player ready now."

Steven states, "
I sort of believe in merchants adverting their own shops."

Eirian states, "
Neat."

Niamh nods at Steven.

Kinaed says, "
I'll make a note that's a reasonably high priority for players."

Kinaed claims, "
As it is, we're focused on matchmaker code and fixing that password issue players are having on accounts"

Eirian is all about the IC advertising.

Calanthe smiles.

Eirian claims, "
Don't forget to utilize your friendly local Troubadours guild, too."

Kinaed claims, "
Speaking of advertising - ladies and gents, if you want to help us out, we get most of our traffic from TMC and Reddit."

Calanthe grins at Eirian.

Elle states, "
And rumors"

Eirian winks at Calanthe.

Kinaed says, "
If you are willing to write something to help us advertise, we'd be deeply grateful."

Farra wonders, "
Actually, no, I will bring it up here! Help hail says that you can't hail dismiss a retainer if they have any items in their inventory/equipped. What about items the retainer is wearing that is the retainers. For example, Farra has a retainer-husband (it's a great relationship, super easy) with items that are his and I'm not using them for storage. Is that something I can get a Staff to help with, getting the NPC stored away until he's back in the city ICly?"

Temi claims, "
They can wear stuff, but not containers."

Farra declares, "
OH!"

Farra declares, "
Oh, I see; I misread, thank you!"

Eirian claims, "
Ayep."

Temi says, "
And can't fill up their inventories. Equipment should be fine."

Prisca declares, "
No containers, nothing in inventory. anything worn otherwise is ok!"

Kinaed claims, "
Yeah, we were having problems with retainers becoming de facto locker storage."

Farra nods at Kinaed.

Lyana says, "
Eh"

Steven states, "
Buy a retainer, name him Locker"

Kinaed says, "
Okay if there's nothing further - thank you everyone for attending this week's OOC Chat."

Eirian states, "
Now that retainers cost upkeep, though, would be nice if we could send them away with a few things in hand."

Temi states, "
They can carry your stuff for you, just get to stay on grid for it."

Farra says, "
I'm very excited over the Matchmaker code."

Prisca waves.

Orik braces for teleport.

Kinaed smiles.

Lyana trails off, "
Match maker..."

Farra nods in agreement with Temi.

Kinaed claims, "
I'm hopeful too. "

A flurry of fiery-colored leaves whirl around Niamh, and when they scatter she's gone. [OOC]

Eirian waves.

Azarial peers about intently, then chases her tails once, twice, thrice--she's gone! [OOC]

Bofaha trails off, "
Match make matchmaker make me a match..."

Lyana claims, "
I totally zoned out and left the room"

Kinaed points at the ledger in the roomm.

Vlora gets a ledger containing Matchmaker code.

Lyana says, "
Oh that"

Orik says, "
8 heads in a duffel bag"

Kinaed claims, "
Anyone who hasn't read the specification for matchmaker code, please feel free to grab a copy and have a look."

Vlora eats a ledger containing
Matchmaker code

Steven states, "
Beam me home scotty"

Orik gets a ledger containing Matchmaker code.

Kinaed claims, "
We'd love to hear feedback on the Personal Board if you have any suggestions."

Halgrim gets a ledger containing Matchmaker code.

Kinaed declaims, "
Okay everyone. That's all for this week, look forward to seeing you next week!"

As a follow-up to the question raised about running from a scene/pursuers:

While it is policy that the act of leaving is itself the RP (one needn't emote or pose before leaving the room), I do believe in acting reasonably and realistically according to the scene at hand -- and in being mindful of one's pursuers. Given that my (thief) character was already on the way out, and was therefore ahead of those in pursuit, bolting once he realized he was spotted (and trying to "shake off" his pursuers) seemed a reasonable course of action to me. I also didn't have to stand in the room and wait for anyone to catch up (or follow), but I did this out of consideration and for the benefit of RP -- in so doing, I allowed the pursuers the chance to remember my character's face.

So please don't feel disheartened by what happened. It was all in good fun, and the good guys will no doubt have their day. :)
