I'd say a big potential swathe of space that could get some interesting forage items swapped out for some of the more common default "inside room" forage list is the University and/or the Library. Some of these wouldn't even be worth more, arguably than what's on the list now, but they might be more "thematic" to find there.

a simple charcoal sketch on a sheet of square-cut paper
a simple chalk sketch on a sheet of square-cut paper
a simple ink drawing on a sheet of square-cut paper
a round inkwell with a narrow neck and snug-fitting stopper
a few narrow sticks of sketching charcoal in slim paper box
a hollowed quill with a gradual scoop and a trimmed feather
a flat-faced disc of a seal, held by a thimble-sized handle
a small set of watercolor paints housed within a hinged box
a horsehair paintbrush with a long maneuverable wood handle
a freshly-cut rectangular sheet of unremarkable white paper (higher level than the present paper)
a rounded bottle of clear varnish for sealing oil paintings
a stick of ordinary white chalk

None of those are worth around 10 silver but could be found in places where folks do a lot of paperwork et al (versus finding food scraps or pieces of wood in such places perhaps.) Another interesting idea (particularly in the University that has rooms dedicated to the different cultures/Duchies would be to find some basic lower level food items (the basic ones you'd find in some of the NPC taverns) there that represent the students likely to be found there.

General ideas:

- a scrap of colored cloth snipped clean of any fraying edges - in more places to represent rags from clothing versus/in addition to some of the current foragable clothing items that can only be turned into bandages.

- There are currently no crafts to turn kegs/casks/bottles of booze into shots of booze - as such I propose the idea of being able to forage like ... abandoned shots of booze in the taverns. Could link it to the different cultures if say ... the Idiora has Vodka, the Tubori bar gets rum, etc. Somewhere Vavardi might get a small chalice of dark green absinthe.

Even though arguably those are not worth much silver wise - a higher skill check on these would keep them from being overly abused.

- Individual playing cards (IE better ones ;)) that you could use to stack a deck -

General suggestion:

Add: a burnt out candle stub as a generally findable item.

Add the candle stubs as an option in either/or:

Would be something without a high silver value that would be useful then in a lot of stuff. :D

Finding horsehair for paintbrushes et al at various stables would be fun. :D
