One owned building, one owned ship/shop. This is to keep our system from getting cluttered/nutty with unused phomes.

Players can build as many new areas as they want, however, even secretive ones, provided they're for public use. Simple go to where you want to add an area, and write a request board post saying what you want, how you want it set up, etc. So long as the security isn't exclusive to your character (ie, a key, or a secret password), then we'll create it for free.

Which doesn't work if you're trying to kidnap someone though.

It works, you just need to accept some level of risk. You can leave someone chained to a wall in an old tomb, for example.

Oh. Gotcha. I guess you could have something that locks people in but not out too, right?

Well, technically you could also wedge a door, you just would have to remain reasonably vigilant over it.

Yah. I just meant if you had say a shack that you could brace the door from the outside but not lock it from the inside.

Going back to the phome idea, if you're doing this for an organization, you just need ONE member who does not have a phome in order to make it work with the world as it currently exists.

If you're building a group/gang/coven/cult/whatever it should be easy to enlist someone who doesn't have a phome yet. Unless I'm the only person who has 0 phomes, which is entirely possible.

I have chars without phomes. Most people, do, actually.

Yah, I was just poking fun. It does mean though that you would not have your own private area to conduct RP in, which would be a bigger burden for some than others. It also doesn't handle the very likely to occur situation of someone dying or going inactive and not having their will 100% up to date.
