Room descriptions can be seen, but objects and people cannot. This is true for some other similar effects, as well.
I'm not 100% clear on what's meant by 'astral travel' and I wonder if this is causing confusion.
Using gate nodes for travel is scary with or without a confirmation for a variety of reasons and that's good! General astral exploration, however, generally isn't, and the potential of a missed server tick hurtling a character off the side of a building while gathering feels more frustrating than atmospheric.
