Late to the party, but I see the bank account balance information on 'worth' as a function of your character's memory. Otherwise we'd just use log searches if we didn't remember the exact number but know we haven't put anything in/out. And that gets boring fast, as does schlepping to a bank just to remember the balance if your PC would but you don't.
