# RP log 2011-10-22

This is an RP log from the improvisational theater at the Hollow
Globe on Oct 22 2011. It was improvisational both for the characters
as well as for the Players!

The events happening on stage are green-coloured for ease of reading
(but in this play the audience's reactions also matter, as you'll
see). I have put sdescs for all participants that were not directly
introduced and also cleaned out code spam here and there.

Master op Orban is referred to as "Orban" for brevity (also sorry for
probably grossly mis-depicting him in the image above). My character
is referred to as the Jester.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside the Hollow Globe Theatre
[Fire pits along two walls heat the room making the air warm but not overly warm.]
The walls curve upward into a high domed ceiling, forming a geodesic
dome. The very top-centre contains six triangular, coloured glass
panes, allowing a bright beam of light to focus upon the stage
covering the southern end of the room during the day. By night a warm
glow from the moons suffuses the room through the skylight. Many
small tables with seats around them sit before the stage. Rich blue
curtains of heavy velvet have been hung up above the stage, so that
they can be drawn across to conceal it during a production. There is
a small door on the south wall by the stage.

(The theatre is slowly filling with people. Torches light the stage,
throwing long dramatic shadows over it. The stage itself is nearly
bare, there are a few various barrels and wooden beams propped up here and
there, but nothing recognizable.)

"Ladies and gentlemen!" the Jester calls out to the
gathered audience, "Welcome to this evening's play here in the Globe!
Please take your seats!" The small woman jester wiggles her head so
the bells of her cap'n bells jingle. "We have a very ... jesterly play
for you all tonight, one that has no name but what we will name it
afterwards." She gestures to herself: "I am the jester, your ever so
lovable storyteller and heroine for tonight. And besides me on stage
is master Ariel op Orban! Let's give him a hand!" She makes a
flourishing gesture towards master op Orban. [the Jester ]

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
shakes her head at the little girl, lifting a finger to
her mouth to indicate that she should be quiet. She then reaches out
with that hand, stroking down her dark curls carefully. A few careful
adjustments, however, and she's focused on the stage and the Jester.

Orban tumbles out onto the stage as he's introduced, a
front roll bringing him to his feet right next to the Jester for an
expansive bow to the audience at large. He tips his hat, grinning
widely.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
grins up to Orban at the indication, applauding lightly.

The little girl isn't completely silent, but she squeals and giggles
in delight at Orban's entrance, clapping her hands
happily. a hulking, towering Farin man with sable
hair
watches impassively. [a hulking, towering

"Now" the Jester continues, "Master op Orban does NOT
know what this play is about, so you should remember this when seeing
it. He really has no clue, all right? So cut him some slack." She
looks out over the audience, "This play will namely happen to a great
extent with YOUR help, my dear audience!" She lets this sink in for a
few moments. As she continues, she speaks slowly and clearly, making
sure everyone can follow: "As such, these are the rules: At some
points in the story, I will ask you, the audience a question. And you,
dear audience, should then call out what you think should be the
answer to this question. Don't be shy, there are no right or wrong,
but I will only use one of your suggestions."

Orban shrugs helplessly to the audience as his
ignorance is made clear, hanging his head in exaggerated sadness with
both arms out, palms turned up.

"So, is everyone with me on this?" the Jester repeats,
waiting to see some bobbing heads in the audience, "Don't be shy to
call out, all right?" [the Jester ]

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
chuckles airily, dipping her head in reponse.

The Jester whisper to Orban, 'You might also throw in a suggestion or
two, should the audience be slow about it ...'

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass called
out to the stage, "All Right."

Orban nods to the Jester, though the moment's slight
and disguised to perhaps not be too obvious to those in the
audience. "Please help me preserve my dignity," he implores them
piteously.

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
giggles along with the laughter sounding from some of
the audience members around her, biting at her lower lip- she glances
towards a hulking, towering Farin man with sable
hair
curiously, her eyes then flickering down to the little
girl. a blue-eyed little boy with curling, midnight-black hair sits
placidly in her arms, playing with a painted wooden knight.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
gives another chuckle at Orban's pleading.

"Good" the Jester says, nodding back to the
audience. She gestures for Orban to make room for her as she starts:
"So let's begin, fair audience, for this is a story of grave danger
and brave jesters! Of glorious pursuits and other things of which I do
not yet know of!" The jester starts by walking across the stage, a
bobbing, happy gait. "Once upon a time there was a jester" she tells
the audience sideways. "It was a gloomy night but she, being a fool,
was walking around in the streets of a great city being all silly as
usual. But- " she pauses and holds her hand up to her ear, "sud denly
the jester heard a sound!" She looks towards the audience, "A sound
she heard ... WHAT SOUND WAS THAT?" [the Jester ]

The Jester say OOCly, "Let the suggestions fly ..."

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
glances to Orban with mischief sparkling in her eyes and
suggests, "The cluck of a cheecken."

Orban steps off to the side at the Jester's gesture,
obediently, finding an unobtrusive place still on stage but near the
wings. He fixes
A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled
auburn hair
with a terribly exaggerated Look, brows slanting
up sharply to meet in the middle and lips contorted into a miserable
frown.

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass halts,
just about to open her mouth, but looks over toward Marisa with a nod
and soft chuckle.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
flutters her eyelashes back at Orban in exaggerated
innocence.

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
stifles a laugh behind one gloved hand, her blue eyes
narrowing beneath thick lashes. She looks towards Orban expectantly,
however, mischief gathering in her gaze.

The Jester grins at A curvy brown-eyed
woman with curled auburn hair
's suggestion, taking her up on
it, "She heard the CLUCK OF A CHICKEN!" She eyes Orban as she starts
to stalk in his direction, "Now, a chicken running loose in this dark
city at night must have been a runaway" she says, "And the jester had
a sudden urge for some nice, roasted chicken!" She prowls closer to
Orban's position, getting ready to give chase.

Orban heaves a wide sigh, putting both hands around his
mouth as he produces... a surprisingly apt imitation of a chicken's
cluck, clearly having done this before. As the Jester approaches, he
hunches over slightly and bends his arms into pointy 'wings', bounding
about on long legs. His head bobs down, 'pecking' at the ground... and
occasionally peering over his shoulder with a wary, myopic
squint.

The Jester approaches the clucking Orban like a hulking
predator, despite their large difference in size. "The jester snuck
closer to the chicken, following it into a nearby alley. She was just
about to POUNCE on it ..." She pauses mid-leap. "... when she suddenly
realized there was a MAN" lying there in the alley! He looked hurt!"
the Jester bends down on her knees giving Orban a glance to make him
change role into that of the wounded man.

The 'chicken' gives an alarmed squawk as it abruptly
collapses. Orban lies sprawled out dramatically with limbs all askew,
clutching his side and groaning miserably as he rolls around on the
stage. [Orban ]

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass giggles a
bit softly, cups her hands around her mouth and calls toward the
stage, "Bok bok bok bok... Behgok!?" She appears to be proficient at
performing.

"'What, my dear man, has happened?', the Jester asks
Orban where he lies on the ground. She turns to the audience, "And the
man told her that he had been ROBBED, and left for dead in this
miserable, chicken infected alley!" She gestures to Orban, "And he
also told her that some thing TERRIBLY VALUABLE to him had been
stolen, something he must get back." She turns on the audience, "So,
dear audience, WHAT WAS IT, that the poor robbed man had
lost?"

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
bends to whisper something in a wide-eyed little boy
with curling, jet black hair's ear, who sits at her feet- she's
giggling, and points up at the stage, towards Orban. She might be, for
someone happening to look at her, explaining what's going on.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
sits back to allow the others to assist this time,
looking amongst them.

Orban raises the hand -not- grasping his side in a
trembling fist, shaking it at his unknown enemy.

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass calls
toward the stage, "His gold tooth!"

A tall, slender manservant with light brown hair offers as well, "His
cloak!"

"His dignity...." wheezes Orban quietly. [Orban
]

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
lets out an airy laugh.

The Jester calls out, "The poor man's GOLD TOOTH had
been stolen!" the Jester nods. "He had to get it back because ..." she
waves a hand, "... because it was an heirloom of his grandfather. Yep,
the poor sod was so poor that he even inherited his teeth! But the
poor man could not retrieve this valuable property all on his own, for
the thief was a VERY POWERFUL PERSON" She looks to the audience,
giving Orban only the briefest of sympathetic looks, "So, any
suggestions as to who this POWERFUL PERSON was?"

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
leans back up in her seat, before relaxing once
more. She holds herself back from saying anything, however, seeming
happier to melt into the crowd.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
chortles softly, remarking to a stocky, sandy-haired
bodyguard with a square jaw, "Well, eef eet was the deegneety..."

The Jester whisper to Orban, 'You can do the powerful person as a
backdrop while I describe him...'

The Jester looks towards the audience, "well, who was
the powerful person, pretty please?"

Orban nods subtly to the Jester, hiding the motion in
his overblown flopping about, groaning, and generally unrealistically
energetic depiction of an angry, injured man. "A noble!" he calls out,
at one point when his face is turned away from the audience.

"A reevely constable, perhaps," A curvy brown-eyed
woman with curled auburn hair
suggests,
chuckling. [A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
arrives back through the northern door of the Theatre, quietly making
her way through to her previous seat and sitting back down. She picks
up her wineglass and takes a long draught from it.

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass eats a
rich caramel cake layered in dark chocolate.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
gets a glass etched with vines from a festive table with a long
tablecloth.

The Jester ponders, "Aye, a noble it was, and not just
anyone, but a BARON!" the Jester calls out as she stands up from the
man on the stage floor. "The Baron (the poor robbed man told her) was
a viscious, brutal man, and against him no ordinary person stood a
chance, for so great was his power!" [the Jester ]

Orban rolls to his feet smoothly the second the Baron
is named, squaring his shoulders and standing tall. He sweeps his
cloak about himself, hiding his threadbare clothes, and arrogantly
lifts his chin - a nasty smirk curling his lips.

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
closes her arms more tightly about a blue-eyed little
boy with curling, midnight-black hair's waist, her slippered feet
sliding until only their tips extend from the hem of her neatly
arranged skirts. She has the majority of her attention focused on the
stage, though the little boy's wriggling draws her attention away for
bites at a time.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
watches Orban from where she sits, smirking at his expression and
sipping quietly at her wine.

The Jester continues, with Orban working as a backdrop
behind her, "But whereas the poor robbed man's depiction of the evil
baron would have scared ANYONE, the jester was not afraid!" She
prances around Orban, as if inspecting him although he's not actually
there in the story. "I am no ordinary person!" she says, with a
squeakier voice to simulate her alter-ego. "I'm a fool, and evil this
wicked man does not scare me! I shall find this baron and retrieve the
poor man's ... golden tooth!" the Jester raises her arm in the air,
bravely setting off across the stagee towards the few barrels standing
there. She kneels down by one of them, looking over it. "The Jester
snuck up to the mighty mansion of the baron ... but then she faced a
PROBLEM!" She looks towards the audience, "Which PROBLEM was that,
dear audience?"

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
laughs softly, calling up, "The guardsman at the door!"

Orban scuttles over to the barrels while the Jester is
asking her question, slipping behind them. He mimes an evil but silent
laugh from within his 'mansion', malevolent stare fixing on each
audience member in turn.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
clears her throat, delicately, looking up from the book in her hands
and remarking. "The Baron had massive bears guarding his tower." She
laughs softly at Orban's impression.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
gets a quick, helpless look from Orban that practically seems to shout
'really?' Then it's back to glaring. [Orban ]

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
glances up towards a herculean Farin knight with broad,
muscled shoulders and a tall, fair-haired knight with piercing blue
eyes, as if to check that they were still there- she relaxes
considerably afterwards, though her posture still remains gracefully
upright. She's chewing on her lower lip as she watches.

The Jester looks towards A young
lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
and
chuckles. "To the jester's horror, the baron's evil was even greater
than the robbed man had told! For not only was the mansion guarded by
high walls (that she could by all means climb), it was also guarded by
... a VICIOUS BEAR!" she declares dramatically as she recoils back
from Orban in horror, beginning to very carefully take steps backwards
before fleeing backwards across the stage.

Tubori wine from a thin crystal wineglass with subtle fiery
engravings.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
laughs again, drinking from her wine-glass and grinning broadly at
Orban from where she sits. She relaxes back in her chair, watching the
show.

Figuring out how to be a vicious bear seems to take
Orban a moment - but then he drops to all fours and bounds out from
behind the barrels, growling and snapping at the Jester. He gives slow
and clumsy chase, the awkwardness of being on all fours making his
pace more appropriately lumbering. [Orban ]

hair
chuckles softly, bringing her wineglass up to obscure her
lips.

The Jester dodges Orban's front 'paws' as he gives her
chase across the stage. A few times it is as if she's almost caught but
eventually she saves herself up on one of the barrells. "The jester
was chased all over the baron's garden, the bear not far
behind. Finally she managed to climb up a tree." The jester gazes out
over the audience, "and the bear didn't follow her there because
... it was an apple tree, and the bear was allergic to apples. Yep, a
sensitive bear that." She gazes down from her barrel. "But she was
stuck in her tree now, the bear menacingly growling below!" She looks
to the audience, " ... until she suddenly realized she carried
something with her that could safe her from this peril... what was
it?"

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass is
smiling sogylu, watching the action on the stage. She takes a moment
to grab a candle from the table to relight an elegant, slender wooden
smoking pipe.

A pleasant fragrance wafts toward you from a short,
boy-faced, raven-haired lass

engravings.

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass giggles a
bit and calls out, "A huge feather on the end of a ten foot pole."

A blue-eyed little boy with curling, midnight-black hair chooses
exactly this time to pipe up, crying out in a baby's voice as he
swings his painted knight in his hand, giggling, "Sol-ja!", he
exclaims loudly. [a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
seems to think, but laughs lightly at a
short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass
's suggestion.

Orban plants himself down in a squat at the base of the
barrels, continuing to growl... only interrupted by a nicely faked
sneeze at the mention of his unfortunate bear allergies. He makes a
few more half-hearted swipes up at the Jester, interspersed between
sneezes every few seconds.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
sips at her wine, grinning as the the play continues. A faint smile
lights up her face. She cradles the wineglass in her fingers, slouched
a little in her chair despite her finery.

The Jester makes big eyes at a
short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass
as she
continues, "As she sat there in the tree, The jester suddenly realized
she had something sticking out of a pocket. Something that could help
her ... A ... TEN FOOT POLE WITH A FEATHER AT THE END!" the Jester
stands up on the barrel, making a show of pulling something out of her
pants - then continuing to pull and pull, nearly falling over as the
massive item is finally supposedly all extended. "The ... ten foot
pole was huge, but it's part of every jester's normal kit" the Jester
assures the audience. "And it had a feather at the end to, since
jesters don't like weapons but they like to tickle. And thjis she did
to the poor, defenseless bear, until the critter could take it no
more!" At this she dives forward and with precision jams her fingers
into Orban's armpits, tickling him.

Either Orban is truly a great actor, or he is in fact
very ticklish. He collapses immediately at the touch, laughing
helplessly in a not-very-ursine way and flailing about on the stage. A
few of his wild swings and reflexive kicks almost hit the
Jester. [Orban ]

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
giggles a little, pressing her hand to her mouth as laughs between
bites of her cake. "Oh, this is too much," she murmurs softly,
grinning at Orban's antics as he flails about.

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
's fingers are stroking through the curls of the little
boy in her lap while her other reaches around with the intention of
scooping the painted knight from his hands. Tucking it neatly away
into a dainty lady's clutch suspended by several twining ribbons, she
leans back in her chair once more- her head is slightly bent as she
watches the performance, a faint smile patterned onto her lips.

The Jester makes a sommersault over the collapsed body
of Orban, landing and rolling over the stage as she nimbly gets back
up on her feet again. "Th e bear out of comission, the brave Jester
finally crossed the baron's garden and snuck up to a window to peek
in." She stands on her toes, looking over an invisible window
ledge. "And imagine the jester's luck! Through the window she saw a
display case, and there was the GOLDEN TOOTH she seeked, all on
display! But-" she says, holding up her finger to the audience, "The
window was heavily barred, and it was clear she could not get in
through it. She needed to get to that room from inside the
house. Luckily she found another way into the baron's mansion ..." she
looks around, as if looking for an entrance, "... what was
it?"

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass drinks
Tubori wine from a thin crystal wineglass with subtle fiery
engravings.

Orban lies still, panting for a moment as he tries to
catch his breath from all the laughing. He then crawls over to hide
behind the barrels, taking himself out of the picture for a
moment.

hair
glaces to Orban with a grin, suggesting, "Perhaps the
front door?"

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass looks
around with her brow arched, nibbling on her lip.

"Secret passage..." floats out from behind the barrel. [Orban ]

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
leans in her chair, sprawled a little more comfortably now that the
wine has begun to set into her limbs. She places one hand over her
mouth to cover a yawn, but smiles all the same, goodnatured and quite
relaxed at this point.

A lean woman with short dark hair rakes a hand through her hair, then
rounds the back of the room to find a vacant seat at the side.

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
is sitting somewhere near the front of the crowd, though
she's doing her best to remain as inconspicuous as possible- a
blue-eyed little boy with curling, midnight-black hair is being
bounced idly in her lap, while another is at her feet, watching the
play. She continues to watch quietly, her blue eyes narrowed slimly
against the dim light.

Orban is visible only as a pair of booted feet sticking out behind
some barrels on stage.

The Jester keeps looking around on stage. "And the
jester looked all over, looking for hidden entrances! She tried to
climb the wines, she pressed every stone hoping to see a secret door
opening ..." the Jester looks triumphant. "Until suddenly a part of
the wall opened, giving her an easy entrance. " She smiles, "The
jester was very relieved, until she realized she had just managed the
heroic feat of pushing open the unlocked FRONT DOOR ..." the Jester
looks a bit embarassed as she sneak through the door and makes her way
across the stage. "Sneaking through the huge mansion, the brave jester
avoided manservants and guards until she reached a room she knew was
just before the room with the golden tooth!" She stops, hiding in the
audience-side of the barrels, "... but there was a huge guard standing
in front of the door!"

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
lets out an airy laugh, shaking her head lightly to
herself.

A pleasant fragrance wafts toward you from a short,
boy-faced, raven-haired lass
's pipe.

Orban springs out from behind the barrels, shoulders
puffed up and hunched in a somewhat ineffective attempt to make him
look more like a huge guard and less like a skinny bard as he stations
himself in front of the barrels. He adds a little verisimilitude to
the picture by drawing his knife, however, and proceeding to pick his
teeth with it through a twisted grin.

The Jester continues: "The guard was truly a huge man,
this was not someone a wee little jester could best!" the Jester
explains from her hidden position by the barrels. She looks
expectantly at the audience, "However, she happened to have seen this
particular guard doing the town a time or two in the past. And as such
she happened to know that the big man had a WEAKNESS he could
exploit!" She looks out over the head of those watching. "A WEAKNESS
she could exploit ... and what was that, dear audience?"

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
chuckles softly at Orban's antics, and the Jester's storytelling,
settling back into her chair. She smirks at some particular thought
ambling through her head, but does not say anything.

"A fondness for wine, perhaps," A curvy brown-eyed
woman with curled auburn hair
calls with a
chuckle. [A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn

Orban stands on his tiptoes at the mention of his
hugeness, teetering a little as he tries to keep his balance. "Hey,
she got it right!" he calls in surprise at

's comment.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn

grins back to Orban with an innocent sparkle in her eyes,
calling, "Eet only seemed fair after the cheecken."

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
gathers up the little boy in her arms, who is now fast
asleep against her shoulder- her other gloved hand reaches out for a
wide-eyed little boy with curling, jet black hair sitting at her
feet. Rising to her feet, she dips an apologetic nod of her head to
A young lady with a mass of unruly copper

. As quietly as possible, she begins weaving through the
crowds to the doorway.

A lean woman with short dark hair crosses her ankles and settles back
in her chair, elbows winging as her hands prop the back of her
head. Sucking at her teeth, she keeps genial eyes on the stage.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
smiles faintly at a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale
golden curls
, raising a hand goodnaturedly with an
understanding expression, and inclining her head slightly as she makes
her way out of the Theatre.

The Jester says, "The jester happened to know that this
huge guard had a great WEAKNESS FOR WINE" she says, nodding in the
direction of
A curvy brown-eyed woman with
curled auburn hair
from the stage. "And ... of
course the Jester had a huge barrel of wine with her." She wlinks,
"She had it in the same pocket as the ten-foot pole." She again makes
a huge show of pulling something large and unwieldly from her pants,
and then she starts to roll the supposed wine barrel behind Orban's
'tall' standing figure. "The Jester spilled the wine and started
making a trail of wine away from the room." She grins, "And SO GREAT
was the guard's love for wine that, once he smelled the scent, he went
to follow this trail. OF COURSE-" she winks to Orban, " he made sure
that none of that precious wine was lost as he went." She rolls away
with her wine barrel across the stage.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
shrugs back to Orban with a chuckle, shaking her head.

a cerulean-eyed young woman with pale golden
curls
leaves north, leading along a trio of small children. A
tall, fair-haired knight with piercing blue eyes leaves north. A
herculean Farin knight with broad, muscled shoulders leaves north.

Orban cranes his head around, sniffing the air with an
exaggerated flare of his nostrils. A big dumb grin comes across his
face as he slides the dagger back into its sheath, chasing after the
Jester at a slow clumsy pace. He frequently bobs down to mock-slurp
from the floor, the noise obnoxiously loud.

The Jester leads Orban off to the far edge of the stage
before doubling back past him to the center again. "The Jester, having
lured away the huge, wine-loving guard lead him on a merry chase with
that trail before sneaking around and getting back to the now
unguarded door..." She opens the door and steps through it, sneaking
closer to one of the barrels, "And there it was! The GOLDEN TOOTH, the
goal she was after! She reached out and with the speed only a jester
can muster, she snatched it!" the Jester holds up her hand, supposedly
displaying her prize to the audience. "So proud was the fool of her
success that she didn't notice the door opening behind her and the
BARON entering, evil glint in his eye...!"

Orban skids to a halt at the edge of the stage,
straightening. He again flicks his cloak around himself, switching
back into his haughty, arrogant posture in the blink of an eye. Chin
held high, he stalks forward toward the Jester, waggling his fingers
sinisterly...

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass chuckles
softly with a short shake of her head and puffs a bit at an elegant,
slender wooden smoking pipe, making a point to blow her smoke
overhead, rather than letting it drift around the room at head level.

A pleasant fragrance wafts toward you from a short,
boy-faced, raven-haired lass
's pipe.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
outright laughs at Orban's finger-wiggling, quickly throwing a hand
over her lips to muffle the sound, looking well and truly amused.

The Jester stands inspecting her 'golden tooth'
oblivious of Orban approaching until he is nearly upon her. Then she
flips around and with an alarmed look she backs away from him, in a
defensive position, "The baron was a powerful, evil man, and his evil
snicker was even more wicked than the Jester had thought!" she
exclaims.
"''You, fool, should not meddle in my affairs!'' called the
baron with booming voice! ''I shall call my guards and they will make
mincemeat out of you, you little jester-rat!''" the Jester looks
towards the audience, "What a thing to say to a cute little jester!
This was truly a wicked man! But the jester thought quickly, she had
heard that the baron was, among all his flaws, a very arrogant man. So
she called out to him," Again the Jester makes her voice squeaky,
"''I CHALLENGE you Baron! And if you refuse, you are clearly a coward for
not daring to accept a challenge from such a small girl as am I''" the
Jester looks towards the audience. "So, what form of challenge did she
issue, dear audience? Lemme hear it!"

looks around amongst the others to see who will speak.

Orban utters an appropriately evil snicker, mouthing
the words of The Jester's speech along with the proper ludicrous
grimaces and leers - though with a slight lag, of course. At the
challenge he smirks broadly, folding his arms across his chest and
tossing his head with magisterial disdain.

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass grins
widely and after a bit of snickering, calls out, "A dancing contest."

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
drinks weak honey drink from a handled ample glass.

The Jester looks towards a
short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass
, nearly
breaking out in a giggle herself.
" ''I challenge you to ...''" she calls out to Orban in her squeaky
voice, "... ''A DANCING CONTEST!''" She looks towards the audience as
she steps up to the 'baron', "And the baron, being known as a great
dancer, laughed evilly and accepted this.
''I shall dance you'', said the baron, ''until you stumble over
your own feet, little fool!''" At this the Jester steps up to Orban,
and rather than doing some sort of acrobatic dance challenge she, with
a defiant face, reaches out her hand for him to dance with her. She
looks very serious and concentrated.
"''Dance away, baron''" she says defiantly, "''Do your best dancing,
surely you shall stumble before me!''"

Orban offers an utterly scornful laugh, throwing out
his arm to the Jester like a challenge. Seizing her hand, he attempts
to whirl her around in a wide spin, the prelude to an energetic Tubori
dance of swift, heavy stomps interspersed with twirls. He's deft and
quick on his feet, clearly well-practiced and a capable lead.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
raises her eyebrows, resting her chin on her hand and watching the
proceedings in silence. A quick glance is skirted around the theatre
to see who is still about.

The Jester follows Orban in the Tubori dance, clearly
being well-versed in it as well. The two twirl about and he spins her
relentlessly so her bells fly about her head as tentacles. "The
... jester danced her best with the evil ... baron" the Jester calls
out to the audience whenever she manages to get her head in their
direction. "But he was VERY GOOD! He did moves he had never heard of,
and she realized she would at any moment stumble and loose the
challenge to him!" the Jester spins around under Orban's capable
lead. "But ... then ... a jester is not always playing fair. What
... is honour to a fool? So she figured out a WAY ... TO ... WIN!"
Orban bends her backwards in a dramatic pose. "What was it?"

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass glances
around, her brow raised, nibbling at her lower lip.

Orban holds the Jester bent over like that for a long
moment, turning a gloating grin to the crowd - clearly he is not in on
the secret of his impending defeat.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
grins up at Orban, flashing him a wicked grin from where she sits, but
she doesn't say anything, just sitting there and sipping at her glass
of wine.

"Someone had better say something before I drop
her...!" Orban calls to the crowd. [Orban ]

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass sighs and
says, "Oil slicked the floor."

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
calls from the bottom of the stage, "The jester is actually a
beautiful maiden, and he's startled by her gorgeous appearance!"

The Jester looks sidelong towards the crowd, still
hanging backwards in the deep dance-pose Orban is holding her in. "She
needs to come up with something quick", she agrees with Orban, lest
she'll loose ... She nods to
a short, boy-faced,
raven-haired lass
, "We are getting towards the end, any other
suggestions?" As
A young lady with a mass of unruly
copper curls
offers her suggestion, the Jester blinks, then
grins as she turns up towards Orban where he holds her. "This was the
moment when the baron suddenly realized ..." she flashes her eyelashes
at Orban, "That the Jester was actually DAMN HOT!"

Orban says OOCly, "Pfffft damn it I was drinking"

Orban stares wide-eyed down at the Jester as if seeing
her for the first time, gasping deeply. He pulls the Jester back up,
staggers back a step, and falls to one knee before her with fist
pressed to his heart and worshipful gaze turned up toward her.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
laughs softly, shaking her head in amusement.

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
snickers with mirth, her shoulders bobbing a little. A healthy,
slightly inebriated flush has entered her cheeks, but she sips at her
wine.

The Jester makes a show of looking somewhat akward as
she backs away from the worshipping baron and makes a run for it
across the stage. "Our Jester, feeling it safest to retreat, fled the
scene of her loving baron with the GOLDEN TOOTH, her challenge won in
the least expected way possible!" She turns back, continuing. "With
tooth clasped in her hand, she returned to the dark alley, where the
poor robbed man was STILL lying and wimpering, waiting for her to
return ..."

Baron Orban stares after the Jester with a lovelorn
expression, a wistful sigh escaping him. He then gets up and cuts
behind the barrels one more time, flinging himself out the other side
to land in his injured sprawl in roughly the same area as
before. "Ohhh I'm stilllll in miserable pain," he moans
loudly. "Whhhhy, God, whhhhy?" [Orban ]

The Jester kneels down to Orban where he lies and makes
a show of shoving the golden tooth back into the man's mouth. "It was
as if the golden tooth revived the man's spirits!" the Jester tells
the audience, "for suddenly he didn't whine as much anymore. That's
what a solid grin will do to a man, yessiree." Standings up, she
continues: "The Jester was victorious, and the robbed man overjoyous
over having his proper golden smile back! He wanted to offer her a
reward, the few petty coins he owned, but the Jester refused, she said
she wanted another reward for herself ..." She steps up to the front
edge of the stage. "A reward for the brave jester, what was
it?"

The Jester continues, before anyone has had time to
respond, "... I will tell you what she wanted! And that was your
APPLAUSE!" At this she bows and waves to Orban to join her, the play
at an end.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
gives a warm smile at that, applauding heartily, glancing
to Orban to include him as well.

With the tooth shoved into his mouth, Orban jumps up to
his feet in a single acrobatic motion, showing a beaming and toothy
grin to the entire audience. He steps to the Jester's side to bow, but
then turns toward her to clap quite loudly and enthusiastically
himself. [Orban ]

a short, boy-faced, raven-haired lass starts
clapping, trying not to spill an elegant, slender wooden smoking pipe
in the process.

The Jester beams, bows and also applauds Orban
back. "And behind her the brave jester left tickled bears, drunken
guards and smitten barons!" she calls, gesturing to Orban, "Master op
Orban!"

"Nobody ever claps as loud for the villain as for the
heroine... Miss Yay!" Orban shoots right back, his wide grin not
losing a whit of its good cheer as he gestures at the Jester. [Orban

A young lady with a mass of unruly copper curls
claps as well, applauding Orban and the Jester's performance. "Well
done, the both of you!" she calls softly.

A curvy brown-eyed woman with curled auburn
hair
chuckles softly, "Ah, but good Meester Orban, you hardly
played -only- the veellain." She resumes a soft applause at the
indication.

The Jester bows to the audience, "And let's not forget
our powerful fate, as ruled by you out there! Without you the Jester
would still walking down the streets being silly! We, your humble
interpreters applaud you!" And she loudly applauds in the direction of
the audience.
