By the Altar
[Relatively Cool]
Bathed entirely in light from attenuated crystal chandeliers suspended
from the ceiling high above, this part of the church is wholly illuminated,
no corner left unto the shadows. In the front, directly north of the
Fountis Major, the altar seems uncharacteristically out of place--
fashioned of unadorned, white ash and reinforced around the edges with
tarnished bronze, the simple, rectangular object seems to have poorly
withstood the ages. Behind it stands a small tabernacle of solid gold, and
above it a large chalice of the same metal. Around the altar hang crimson
velvet curtains, allowing one to draw closed the area around the dais;
however, when not in use, they bunch together, tied off and securely
harnessed to the wall. On both sides of the aisle directly in front of the
room are lavish oaken pews replete with soft cushions, clearly roped off by
thick red cords. Behind them are numerous additional pews, equally
serviceable but lacking any soft comfort.

Norrig stands by the altar, waiting. He's clad in bardic silks and looks radiant.

Arriving with a multitude of would-be guests, Maura Surgat glances towards the altar, viridian orbs lingering on Norrig and Sibylle dul Fontaine. They may linger, but not for long as they swiftly look down at the pews, carefully moving within the pews. [Maura Surgat]

Before you stands a pale-skinned, viridian eyed maiden. Her lustrous, straw
blonde hair frames the sharp features of her face and brushes the top of her
slender shoulders. Her viridian eyes seem to shine with intensity as they
take in her surroundings. A small, slender nose, high, aristocratic cheek
bones and full, pale lips make up the other elements that compose her face.

Her slender body is toned, with long, svelte legs and pronounced feminine
curves.
Norrig is two hands taller than she is.

Maura Surgat is using:
<worn on head> a proper half-upturned hat crafted of matte isabelline felt
<worn around neck> an oval pewter locket threaded around a linen ribbon choker
<worn over shoulder> layered v-necklines revealing a partlet of fine white linen
a loose, drawstring book bag of cream white Brenlands linen
<worn on arms> floor-length linen sleeves lined with slate contrast fabric
<worn on hands> a pair of slate gray elbow gloves closed with ivory buttons
<worn on torso> a clean white linen gown with sweeping floor-length sleeves
a pleated linen contrast chemise with an even, straight hem
<worn about waist> an isabelline felt sash tied in a loose bow behind the back
<worn on legs> crisp, even skirts crafted of cream-colored Brenlands linen

"Squire Valen, welcome," Sibylle dul Fontaine offers back to Edwin Valen with a dip of her head. She ushers away a few of the priests surrounding the northern altar, letting them run off to their own plans. Continuing to speak again with Edwin Valen, she asks, "I hope all has been well. No new injuries?"

When Norrig has finished arranged his flowers, she lets him know, "When you feel the pews have filled enough, Laudate, please let me know. I've no doubt the lines will be long, and we don't want to hold back the event overlong." [Sibylle dul Fontaine]

Huntress Cee sidles in, glancing around the vast array of lithmorran society, opting, perhaps wisely (for a change), to sit in the near empty back row near a couple of homeless looking to fill their pockets, even if a sharp eye is shown their way to let them know she's not one of the easy marks. Resting her feet on the seat and her rear on the back of the pew, she allows herself a higher vantage point that increases the view of the front of the chapel from pitiful to servicable.

Theia le Koralle arrives from the south.
Theia le Koralle slows to a halt.

Sibylle dul Fontaine betrays no recognition of Maura Surgat in the gaze that flicks over towards this woman. Too much attention and not enough interaction prevents any proper exchange of pleasantries, though. [Hidden]

Prisca Connor arrives from the south.
A tall, brawny, ruddy-haired man has arrived.
Prisca Connor slows to a halt.

Theia le Koralle starts to move towards the north and east.

Likewise Sibylle dul Fontaine doesn't seem to recognize Huntress Cee or a rangy, hazel-eyed Lithmorran male, though the former with her dog earns a longer look than anyone so far. No comment is given, though a brief nod of greeting is offered to Theia le Koralle's entry. [Sibylle dul Fontaine] [Hidden]

Norrig nods slowly at Edwin Valen when he salutes. The Laudate, for once, looks nervous and not entirely in his solid, masculine alpha macho state. His eyes drift to the newcomers: Maura Surgat is met with a light, polite nod of his head, Huntress Cee, Theia le Koralle and Prisca Connor with a faint smile. The man looks aside at Sibylle dul Fontaine and murmurs: "Just a few minutes more, but alright, Grand Inquisitor."

Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend arrives from the south.
Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend slows to a halt.

Huntress Cee sits down and rests.

Theia le Koralle walks into the area, walking over towards the middle pews, as she steps in and finds a place to get to and takes a seat. [Join]

If Edwin Valen had anything to say to Sibylle dul Fontaine he's certainly not saying anything at the moment. He sits down in the middle pews among all the freemen and things and just keeps to himself as things go on around him. [Edwin Valen]

Theodora op Arcenant arrives from the south walking along at the elbow of etienne. Etienne dul Arcenant has arrived.
Theodora op Arcenant slows to a halt.

[Action: Theia le Koralle is seated on a pew among the middle rows. ]

While waiting for more to arrive, Maura Surgat entertains herself by looking over her shoulder to the entrance, viridian orbs watchful of each prominent individual's entry. [Maura Surgat]

Movement at the back of the room draws Sibylle dul Fontaine's eyes back there to catch glimpses of a pearl-clad woman in silver and seasilk. Of course one is going to admire the lovely bride. It's distractingly fetching, that ensemble and that lady. [Sibylle dul Fontaine] [Hidden]

Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend starts to move towards the east.

Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend starts to move towards the north.

A rangy, hazel-eyed Lithmorran male bounces his knees as he waits, his hands clasped loosely between them. His eyes seem to rove all over, taking in the mix of attendees and lingering on some of the unfamiliar finery.

Norrig flips a bardic style cloak of shimmering silks with a cowled hood back over his shoulder.

Prisca Connor sits on a pew among the middle rows.

[Action: Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend is seated in a front pew, ready to worship. ]

Sibylle dul Fontaine offers a smile back to Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend, a polite dip of her head as the nobleman takes his seat at the first pew. Being rather close to the altar makes the attention easy and natural to fall between them as it does, though there's a bit more to be done at the altar to spare more than a softly-spoken, "Good morning, Baron."

Huntress Cee lets her sharp gaze run through the crowd in turn, although it's a slow, patient sweep, pausing on a couple of individuals. She may even be keeping guard, but it's unclear considering she's seated with no weapon in hand. For now, she chews on the inside of her cheek as she seems more interested in the crowd than the man and woman of interest in the room.

Prisca Connor walks down the aisle with the squeak of leather dress amor, and takes a seat near the end in the middle rows.

[Action: Prisca Connor is seated near the aisle in one of the middle rows. ]

Norrig looks as more people attend. He spots Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend and bows respectfully, but he's really too distracted. When Theodora op Arcenant arrives... the man's jaw threatens to tremble, and those eyes threaten to pop from their sockets. The man breathes in and stands to attention, martial style, though a stupidly nervous smile is plastered all over his gorgeous face.

  She has smooth, shiny hair.
This woman has a naturally haughty sort of air to her high-borne Vavardi features which give her the perpetual look like she's looking down at people despite her shorter frame. Her dewy, youthful face is set with full rose-hued lips and a pert nose that often wrinkles slightly when she speaks of anything unpleasant. Her often exposed flesh is a canvas of tight flawless bisque skin dotted with reddish-brown freckles. Her expressive eyes are a brilliant sapphire colour and sit behind a cage of long black lashes that often bat more than is likely strictly neccessarily for a natural blinking pattern. On the petite side, around five and a half feet she has firm, lithe limbs and moves with a sort of practiced grace with a careful dancer's posture. Despite being on the thin side, there is just enough softness to her feminine frame to grant her an ample if not slightly prominent bosom and flaring hips that often sway when she walks. Her long, waist-length hair is a shining strawberry-blonde sort of hue that wavers between a warm amber brown and a richer reddish hue depending on lighting or season.

This woman's long waist length hair has been brushed to a mirror shine and has been elaborately braided and trails down her back under a sheer chiffon veil, agleam with glints of topaz and pearl. White elderflowers flowers woven into the braid adds an air of gentle scent around her.

A complex scent encompassing the playful side of femininity dances across her
skin, starting at a baseline of yellow chrysanthemum essence and elevating
quick through bird-of-paradise pollen, a hint of papaya and acidic pineapple
oils. Though white floral roses play a subtle part of the complex layers of
the perfume, the roses are an accent rather than a replacement for more
costly ingredients. The lightest scent is stinging ginger, detectable only
when one's nose is all but touching her skin.

Norrig is a foot taller than she is.

Theodora op Arcenant is using:
<worn on head> a fragrant white elderflowers woven with an elaborate braid
<worn on ears> elegant teardrop pearl earrings suspended from silver hooks
<worn over the face> a sheer chiffon veil, agleam with glints of topaz and pearl
<worn around neck> an illusion chiffon neckline dusted with shimmering crystal
a fragile choker of interlaced silver chains and fine pearl
<worn on arms> split, hanging sleeves of chiffon, shimmering with crystals
fitted undersleeves of slashed seasilk, studded with pearls
<worn, left wrist> cuffs of intricate silver filigree, interspersed with topaz
<worn, right finger> a porcelain fleur-de-lis crowning a feminine ring of silver
<worn on torso> an off-the-shoulder opulently embellished bodice of seasilk
<worn about body> a mantle of sheer chiffon, shimmering with minuscule jewels
<worn about waist> a jewel-encrusted stomacher of satin, laced into the bodice
<worn on legs> full skirts of sumptuous seasilk with a pearl-trimmed train
<worn on feet> a pair of matching seaglass slippers sparkling in the light

Theia le Koralle glances around, her eyes setting on Theodora op Arcenant as she enters, a soft smile on her face as her turquoise gaze takes in the beautiful woman then turns her attention towards Norrig, viewing those gathered with a light smile.

Theodora op Arcenant steps through the double doorway at the the back of the Cathedral at the elbow of Etienne dul Arcenant and looks around those who have gathered. She pauses and takes a breath and swallows petal falling behind from her braids onto the ground. She looks aside to her fraternal guide and starts to walk along carefully to the altar, making a curious ringing clatter-clap of shoes made of glass ringing on the stone floor of the holy space.

Edwin Valen takes a glance at Theodora op Arcenant as she enters, the same look that everyone else is giving really. A small ghost of a smile is born on thin lips before dying. He ends up looking forward toward Norrig and then saying nothing. The middle pews are packed so he's just doing his best at this point not to be hit by an elbow as someone turns around to watch her.

The walking to the altar is like to bring a hush to the audience, but for those that don't catch on, brown-robed acolytes are present to help quietly guide the audience to a low murmur. Sibylle dul Fontaine is behind the altar already, hands resting along the bronze-lined edges of the ash wood there. Waiting, as most are, for the bride to reach the altar. [Sibylle dul Fontaine]
Etienne dul Arcenant enjoys his moment as the second-along centre of attention and waves his fingers towards those he recognizes on the way to the front leading Theodora op Arcenant long at a leisurely pace seeming to drag out the walk to enjoy the spotlight for a moment with a gleaming chesire-like smile.

Theodora op Arcenant starts to move towards the north.

[Action: Sibylle dul Fontaine stands at the altar, watching the goings-on from the best 'seat' in the house ]

A huge, noble-looking wolfdog sniffs along the ground at all the ankles packed in the back of the room, enjoying all the wonderful new scents.

Maura Surgat as Theodora op Arcenant begins to walk down the aisle, the older woman's lips curve upward at the edges. Whether one can be certain this is genuine or false is anyone's guess, but alas she watches the bride to be's journey with interest.

Etienne dul Arcenant steps away from Theodora op Arcenant at the last moment and leans over and gives an audible little Vavardi style peck on the cheek and then slides into a seat towards the front of the middle pews behind Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend. [Join]

Sibylle dul Fontaine's forefingers worry a little at the bronze edging of the altar, the gloves rubbing the smooth metal there. [Hidden]

Theia le Koralle adjusts herself in her seat, tilting her head lightly, causing set of blue topaz earrings clasped in silver sunburst molds to shimmer softly in the light. [Hidden]

Norrig smiles more broadly as Theodora op Arcenant and her brother approach. He gulps quietly and exhales slowly through his nose, keeping himself steady. He stands perfectly straight and follows the beautiful pair of vavardis as they approach.

Prisca Connor glances aside briefly as the bride walks down the aisle, but keeps her focus mainly upon Norrig and Sibylle dul Fontaine.

Theodora op Arcenant clears her throat a bit as in time she's left to stand in front of Sibylle dul Fontaine, deposited at the side of Norrig. She looks over and gives a flush of a smile to him and then bows her head to seemingly await the word of the officiant to begin.

[Action: Theodora op Arcenant stands at the side of Norrig, being the beautiful? bride. ]

Your action is: Norrig stands by the altar, waiting. He's clad in bardic silks and looks radiant.

Huntress Cee glazes her eyes over somewhat as her thoughts drift, before the arrival of the mate to the other mate-to-be rouses her from her interal machinations. She gazes from the rabble at the back, looking strangley nostalgic and decidedly less grumpy than usual.

Edwin Valen reaches up to scratch at the side of his neck for a moment and says nothing as he watches the going's on. [Hidden]

With Theodora op Arcenant having been deposited at Norrig's side by Etienne dul Arcenant, Maura Surgat turns her gaze to better account for the three people before the altar. Given her choice to sit aisleside, it would seem she has an easier time at this than some of the unfortunates within the center of the pews [Maura Surgat]

Edwin Valen is pretty tall. He's not having trouble seeing despite his unfortunate place in the pews. He can see what's going on at the aisle though he's also scanning the room occasionally, keeping his eye out it would seem for other things and not necessarily on the bride and the groom.

Sibylle dul Fontaine takes in a breath, filling her lungs with what air they will take before releasing it slow. As the quiet settles over the crowd in the cathedral, she grants a slight nod to the assembled before breaking a smile before Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant. It is there her words focus, lifting in volume to carry through the pews, "Citizens of Lithmore, gathered visitors and guests, and of course, the lovely bride and bridegroom - welcome all on this lovely Maius day as we join the Poet Laudate, Norrig op Donovan, and Bardess Theodora op Arcenant together in wedded matrimony."

"At a few milestones in our lives are we offered the chance to remake ourselves, to formally establish new habits and better our lives and the lives of those around us. Marriage is such an important marker, we gather not just friend and family but community to witness - it is a time of new beginnings springing from old ones. I am delighted to have worked with the Poet Laudate and his betrothed for these past months in particular when the fruits of their mutual labors have come to ripen." There is a pause in her speech before she collects herself to continue the officiating.

Norrig smirks proudly as Sibylle dul Fontaine begins booming, then looks down at the gorgeous bride before him, taking in all the little details of her clothes, face, hair. He blinks when she says his name, but keeps the smile and encompasses the area with his penetrating gaze, looking at all the faces.

As Sibylle dul Fontaine begins to speak, Maura Surgat straightens her posture a bit further. [Maura Surgat] [Hidden]

A rangy, hazel-eyed Lithmorran male unclasps his hands just long enough to scratch idly at the meager stubble on his cheek. As the ceremony begins in earnest, he returns his attention to the altar with renewed interest.

Theodora op Arcenant smiles at Norrig a moment and reaches out a hand but then seems to remember protocol and withdraws it. She stands awkwardly for a beat and then leans just half a step back to keep an eye on Etienne dul Arcenant over in the pews before looking back to Sibylle dul Fontaine.

"Raising the Troubadours back to a position of performing strength. Writing, publishing, producing incredible performative pieces. Dedicating their time, their bodies, and their spirits not just to the Arts, but to the service of Lithmore's people. Together they prove that Marriage is an important marker to making a new life, and more than that, that each milestone is built on the labor of many steps," Sibylle dul Fontaine lifts her voice again, filling her lungs to project for those not so lucky as to be born into a seat in the first row.
P"Today these many steps have brought you to this altar," she alters her tone, seeming more conversational at last to Theodora op Arcenant and Norrig both. This, unfortunately, might cause some hearing issues for those furthest back in the Cathedral. Acolytes carry the message where they might need to. "To start a new life together. The Lord looks so happily on each Union such as this - properly built, vetted by community, and entered into by those so earnest. You have proven to me your compassion for one another, your earnestness to the Faith and the Kingdom, and your happiness and compatibility together. As symbols of the unbreakability of your bond and unity, have you brought your rings?" [Sibylle dul Fontaine]

Huntress Cee glances sharply to the side in some surprise as an acolyte near her rather bravely starts relaying the speech in hushed tones, levelling her quiet, thoughtful gaze on the figure as she glances towards the front occasionally, as if trapped from the real 'event' behind an invisible pane of glass.

Norrig blinks and taps his pockets, then exhales with inmense relief and produces a colorful silver wedding ring set with prismatic amethysts, which he holds on one large, calloused palm face up. He smiles rather goofily as he looks from Sibylle dul Fontaine to Theodora op Arcenant and back, and switches his powerful weight from one leg to the other.

Finally it seems like the wan and emotionless gaze from Edwin Valen shifts into one of some mirth. He smiles, slightly. Teeth part over his white teeth. He sits forward a bit and watches as Norrig pulls out a ring and then glances to Theodora op Arcenant, as though interested in what's going to happen from that side. [Edwin Valen]

Theodora op Arcenant opens and closes her mouth and says in her airy coastal voice, "Yes, Your Holy Honor, I have it," and she opens the flat of her palm to show a masculine silver wedding ring set with pearly music notes. Her small palm quivers just a bit and she breathes in.

Blue eyed girl with long wavy dirty blond hair arrives from the south.
Blue eyed girl with long wavy dirty blond hair slows to a halt.

"As the ring turns, without beginning or end, so too does your bond to each other. There is no finish to what begins here; there is no start, for by placing these rings on one another's fingers, you are wedded. You are Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant, wedded here before Lithmore and the Lord. Turn to one another, offer your partner your hand," Sibylle dul Fontaine directs, hands moving at last from the altar before her. The Vavardi just can't help a little direction with the hands. "And fit the ring on their finger while making your vows. If the bridegroom would not mind leading us?" [Sibylle dul Fontaine]

A rangy, hazel-eyed Lithmorran male is idle.

A rangy, hazel-eyed Lithmorran male is no longer idle.

Huntress Cee blends in with the rest of the crowd after a while, murmuring in her own tongue to some of her redheaded compatriots as she listens to the discounted, dirtier version of the ceremony from the acolyte. Most likely bitching about how their version of marriage is far more fun.

Huntress Cee stands up.

Huntress Cee leaves south, stalking along purposefully.
A huge, noble-looking wolfdog leaves south.

Blue eyed girl with long wavy dirty blond hair quietly sits on the most frontal free space she kind find trying not call anyone's attention.

Norrig turns his powerful build to Theodora op Arcenant, eyes wide open and intense on the smaller woman. The Poet Laudate extends a hand to her own and, should everything go as he intends, he places the small ring on the beauty's finger.

"All my life I have been a fighter." he begins, raising his voice to a powerful, masculine soprano, as his golden gaze sweeps the area with intensity, "I have fought and I have bled to protect others for twenty years." he admits, bobbing his head: "And always for coin. Never with a cause, never with pride."

He looks down at Theodora op Arcenant's beautiful blue eyes, and he strains to keep his voice steady: "Theodora op Arcenant, I met you at a very unusual time of my life. I cast off my mercenary cloak for the bardic cut. I changed the blood for the music, the march for the arts, the thunder for dancing. And for you, I will from now on fight only for love. I will be you and your's family's sword -- no, hammer" he smiles for the audience at the stupid pun, then looks back at her: "Your hammer and shield. My my weapons, my heart, my devotion is yours, as you and your lands are mine. I will love, protect and cherish you here and unto death." He offers his own large hand to the bride.

Norrig gives a colorful silver wedding ring set with prismatic amethysts to Theodora op Arcenant.

As the revelation that the Groom shall be taking the Bride's name is announced to all present, Maura Surgat's brows lift in a little modicum of surprise, however as the rings begin to be exchanged and vows presented, her surprise wears off. [Maura Surgat] [Hidden]

Theodora op Arcenant wears a colorful silver wedding ring set with prismatic amethysts on her left finger.

That much appeared to take him aback as well but with less surprise and more of a stoic expression on Edwin Valen's face again. He listens to the vows being exchanged without much in the way of a reaction. Hard to tell what it is he might be thinking. He runs his tongue over his teeth though quietly. [Edwin Valen]

Prisca Connor frowns slightly. "...o.e. .. ..ch ea...r .. sa. ...n A.-....n-..a.e...."

Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend might not always act like a noble -- what with the hanging about in taverns -- but he has clearly studied the art of not showing any expression when he doesn't feel as if emotion-showing would bode well for him.

Blue eyed girl with long wavy dirty blond hair looks at the wedding, her attention dreamly focused on the couple as she clearly seems to be daydreaming. A silly smile forming on her face.

Theodora op Arcenant pauses as the ring slides into her finger and she looks up at Norrig and pauses for some long moments and says, "I have been with the Troupe since I was very young, since I was first deemed proper for my first pair of pointe shoes. When I sat in the wings as a chorus girl, listening to the great stories of leading lords and ladies, stories of Love and Bravery, of Beauty and Freedom. But I have learned finally learned Truth. That Love is an action, it is a choice, every day and every moment, from this day and every day."
he swallows a bit and says, "And I promise here to you, and to these fine people, and to the Lord that I will love you this day and all days from now to the Spring. That the world may be a rainbow and the glittering sun or a storm of sorrows, but my heart will be wine and roses. That I will walk where you walk and go where you go, and might we be a story that others can see, for all the Urth is a stage to witness." She presents him with his own ring in trade.

It would seem as Theodora op Arcenant presents her ring to Norrig, that Maura Surgat approves of it far more than the ring he presented her, given the approving nod that follows [Maura Surgat]

Norrig wears a masculine silver wedding ring set with pearly music notes on his left finger.

Sibylle dul Fontaine lets the ceremony linger after that exchange for a brief moment before raising her hand and voice again, projecting her words beyond the couple newly wed. "Then I, Sibylle dul Fontaine, proclaim you both wedded before the Lord. May your union glorify the Springs, Lithmore, and yourselves. It has been my pleasure to welcome the op Arcenants to our community."

As it is finally announced Edwin Valen nods his head once and steeples his fingers for a moment, the left hand ruined in scars. He draws in a breath through his teeth and makes the sign of the chalice before lowering his head and mouthing something to himself. [Edwin Valen]

Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend also lowers his head and chalices himself; his austere side is showing.

Norrig breathes in sharply and shudders powerfully, then looks at Theodora op Arcenant and smiles like a boy would. A two hundred pounds, two meter-tall boy, that is. He brings a hand forward and aims to pull the bride towards him by her petite waist and, as he has been no doubt expecting, as others have, he kisses her deeply, sincerely, eyes closed and to the applause and cheers of the loud troubadours. This, this right now, is his and her moment, and damnit if he won't get as much as he can from it!

A single, pure tear runs down Norrig's cheek as he kisses his wife. [Norrig] [Hidden]

Prisca Connor claps.

A blue eyed girl with long wavy dirty blond hair looks deeply emotional at the ceremony with the silly grin on her face, lened forward as she continues watching.

Theodora op Arcenant blinks as she's caught up by Norrig and looks up at him and tilts onto the tips of her toes to kiss him back. She begins to laugh then as the others in the pews begin to clap or otherwise hoot and holler. She blanches a bit at the addition of an almost air-splitting whistle that echoes the room from Etienne dul Arcenant and she looks over and gives him the most pointed of stares but then puts her little pearly smile back on.

A tall and muscular Vandagan arrives from the south, moving slowly and using a sturdy wooden practice mace topped by a padded round head for support in lieu of their left foot.
A tall and muscular Vandagan slows to a halt.

Maura Surgat watches as the room erupts into a mixture of reactions, nearly all positive in some manner. She herself merely opts to clap in congratulations.

Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend has treated the whole thing solemnly enough for the time being, so he then decides to start clapping. He doesn't speak, however; noble as he may be, he knows when to keep his mouth shut.

Edwin Valen makes the sign of the chalice again as he lifts his head to the loud cheering of Bards. He claps his hands a few times as the cheer break out. The rather grim young man, being ... rather grim as usual.

A rangy, hazel-eyed Lithmorran male is idle.

Sibylle dul Fontaine The bride isn't the only one to spare a look towards Etienne dul Arcenant after that earsplitting whistle. Her lips turn for a moment before opening to announce, "With that, citizens of Lithmore, the Order offers its thanks for joining us this day. To express their thanks and joy, the wedded couple have made offer of food, drink, and dancing at the Argent Swan. Congratulations again to the couple, and may the Lord bless and guide you all."

A tall and muscular Vandagan drags their way in amid the sudden round of applause, trying to keep to the back of the room, it looks like. It is perhaps a mercy that the clapping mutes the dull thunk of their mace, sounding with each step as the practice wapon is pressed into service as a makeshift cane.

Norrig waves at the whole audience as he smiles from ear to ear, golden eyes like saucers in his joy. He holds Theodora op Arcenant by her waist against him and says loudly: "Come, let us go to the Swan, there's food, music and drink for all!" Then he looks down to his wife's eyes questioningly.
Theodora op Arcenant now follows Norrig.

Theia le Koralle raises from her seat, offering a light smile and nodding, moving over to move towards the exit, "Yes, I will see you at the Argent Swan." She comments with a light smile.

Like Prisca Connor, Sibylle dul Fontaine seems to be lingering behind some. With a nod to one of her priests nearby and a motion in the Captain's direction, the Grand Inquisitor's assistant can be seen hurrying off towards Prisca Connor.

Once there the blue-clad man offers, "Might the Grand Inquisitor borrow your company briefly, Miss?"

Back at the altar, she answers Norrig quietly, "It was my pleasure. I'm afraid... I shan't be heading over, at least right away. News I shall have to tell you later, and beg forgiveness for my tardiness." [Sibylle dul Fontaine]

Norrig leans back up and smiles understandingly, then says: "Alright, we will be honored to count you among our guests there. Lord bless." he leaves with Theodora op Arcenant hanging from his arm, more or less, such is his excitement.

Norrig uninstalls a spacious buffet table from the floor.

Norrig turns to Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend and smiles happily, extending his hands to welcome the highborn: "My lord, welcome, welcome. We hope to throw a party adequate to your high station. May I pour you anything?" he asks, "The wine should be arriving shortly."

Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia slows to a halt.

A black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man moves suddenly, breaking from his hiding spot.

Looking up from his own work as Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant enter, a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man waves happily to the both of them from his corner, beaming as he looks over towards them, and Theia le Koralle as well. "Comrade Bards, Comrade Medicus! Am very good to am seeing you!" a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man exclaims, motioning towards papov. "Hoping am not breeching familiarity, but make special run of brew for wedding!"

He leans over to rest himself on the casks, crossing his arms over one another, a smile on his face. "Hoping that wedding went well!" He says, after a while, eyes shining happily as he looks the two over.

By the time anyone notices him, Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend has entered as well, and a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man graciously places a hand to his chest, bowing to the man, averting his gaze and waiting to be bidden to rise. As is customary, of course.

Theia le Koralle looks over towards Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend when he arrives, "Greetings My Lord ab Leidsfried, I'm so happy to see you." She says with a light smile, glancing over towards Norrig then back towards Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend, moving to say something before she glances over and sees a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man arrive, "OH! Mister Popov, it's good to see you again... When did you get here?" She asks tilting her head softly.

[Action: Theia le Koralle is conversing with those gathered. ]

Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend looks, for a moment, a bit perplexed. "Poet Laudate, this is -your day-," he rather firmly points out. "...I don't mean to..." It is the arrival, perhaps of someone -- that prompts this: "You know what? I should depart. Enjoy your time." He glances to the newlyweds. "Enjoy this -time- in your life--it goes more quickly than anyone is willing to admit."

Theodora op Arcenant blinks as a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man steps out of the corner and she puts a hand to her chest and the dainty bride says, "I, oh, Mister Popov, you did not need to do all of this, no? But that is very kind of you. I am sure it will be wonderful," she gives her most pearly of smiles and says, "Please, do have a piece of the cake. The Laudate worked very hard on it, lemon curd and fondant." She blinks over to Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend and says, "Oh, this is no need for all of this, my Lord, please, we are charmed that you have come, do please enjoy yourself."

Norrig looks at the new arrivals with his goofy smile. When Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia makes her entrance the man half bows, murmuring: "Poet Knight, you honor us with your presence, welcome." He leans back up and flicks his gaze to Theodora op Arcenant, waving a bit: "My love, you are here. Don't forget the wine, the guests are thirsty for capuan."
When a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man emerges from his discrete (very discrete) corner, the Laudate blinks and pauses, then maanges a light smile: "Thank you, mister.... you must be Vasily Popov, yes?"
BUT THEN Baron Giles ab Leidsfriend announces his departure, and the man bows deeply, saying: "Thank you for your kind words and visit, my lord, please, Lord bless."

[Action: Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia is just coming up the stairs. ]

Looking back to the casks, a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man's brows raise, and a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man scratches at his chin a bit, cocking his head to the side. "Ehh, Vasily get here... Hour, maybe two ago. You know, make certain to am checking everything was fine, no hidden daggers around place or anything, ha-ha!" a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man jokes to Norrig, Theia le Koralle, and Theodora op Arcenant, beaming to them before clearing his throat. "...Am not, by the way, Vasily check very thorough." He assures the group, a bit more seriously.

It only lasts for a moment, however, before a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man is looking towards Norrig, nodding vehemently, offering him a gloved hand. "Please, am no mister! My name Vasily Popov. Am honored to be making custom vodka for party!" a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man motions towards Theodora op Arcenant and smiles, bowing his head a touch. "Your wife very polite to Vasily in last few months. Vasily very firmly believe that should be rewarded! Ehh... If not by Lord, maybe Vasily can help." a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man admits, letting out a laugh as he looks up to Norrig.

From here on you will remember a black-haired and hazel-eyed Vandagan man as Vasily Popov.

Norrig looks at Vasily Popov as the man grapples his hand, and he can do nothing else but shake his own back: "Oh, ah, well, the pleasure is mine mister Popov. I am glad Theodora op Arcenant has been kind to you -- please, please, have a bite of something." he tells him, watching the party out of the corner of his eye.

Aside from the musical accompaniment her own attire provides, it seems Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia intended to have hers be a quiet arrival. Sidestepping with a smile and bowed head for Baron Perche as she passes the nobleman, the smile fades somewhat as the woman catches some errant bit of gossip that, wouldn't you know it, trails off as she's crossing through. Resolutely moving forward, Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia acknowledges Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant with a separate bow of her head. When close enough, she murmurs a few congratulatory words then moves on to allow others a chance to converse with the couple. [Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia]

Theodora op Arcenant opens and closes her mouth as the Lord announces his departure and then indeed leaves and she slumps a bit at that and then directs a square-faced Lithmorran woman with dark eyebrows to begin setting up the rest of the drinks about the room. She looks about and says, "Mari, there are far more drinks than people, you best invite others, before one of us tries to manage it by ourselves, no?" She laughs and says, "Well, or all of the cake too."

A square-faced Lithmorran woman with dark eyebrows drops a cask of East Savir Spirits limited Cinnamon-spiced Brandy.

A square-faced Lithmorran woman with dark eyebrows drops a bottle of rich amber-hued Dusollini armganac .

"Honor all of Vasily's! Thank you for am having me!" Vasily Popov exclaims excitedly to Norrig, beaming as the man takes his hand, shaking it firmly for a moment before letting it go. "Vasily will take advice - please, at end of night, feeling free to give away casks, or take home, memory of wedding times!"

With that, Vasily Popov leaves the others alone, finally, happily bounding over to the table in question, looking towards Theia le Koralle and Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia, nodding to them. "Comrade Theia, Comrade Calanthe, how am the both of you? Am feeling free to of joining Vasily - but I admit, very hungry! Big day!" He exclaims, happily, beginning to fill up a plate as he smiles to himself.

Only if I allow myself to act a fool, aye?" he says and the short little vandagan's insistance that he drink liquir instead of all the proffered wine appears to please the Squire greatly. "Aye, let's go drink some of your firebreather, eh?"

"I'm pleased to be here. It was very kind of you both to open up to the public," she says to Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant before moving on. easy to crave for more.

Norrig drinks from a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest.
This amontillado is the transformation of a white wine muscadet into the fortified wine known as sherry. The rich, slightly musky wine base stands firm against rich heavy-based Vavardi style dishes and the aging process has given it an etheral and aromatic undertone and a rich, amber hue. The slight undercurrents of oak and tobacco one may find in a Capuan brandy mix with festive elderflowers soaked within the mixture to produce a blend that is feminine and floral on first taste and masculine and smooth on the backtaste.

"Oh, I'm surprised you could find the time," Prisca Connor says blinking at Norrig's words. "If it was too much, do keep us in mind for you next wedding, yes?" she says with a grin and wink. "Is His Lord of Perche here?" she asks, glancing around." [Prisca Connor]

Edwin Valen And then he's off, filling a cup with liquor and downing a swallow of it. He coughs once. Not a killer. Not awful, though it does raise a question that he has got to ask Vasily Popov it seems like. "Kicks like a mule. What's sweetening it?" he says, clearly unfamiliar with the fruit in question which is probably not much of a surprise. He beats his fist against his chest a few times with his free hand probably in an effort to not cough again and embarrass himelf.

"Ah, miss, welcome." Norrig tells Maura Surgat with a raise of black eyebrows: "I'm the groom, Poet Laudate Norrig op Donoven. I don't know if you were at the Church and thus know this already."Please, feel free to eat and drink at your leisure." [Norrig]

[Edwin Valen]

"Am feeling free, have as much as you want, Comrade Edwin!" Vasily Popov says aside to Edwin Valen, giving him a smile and nodding a few more times. "Comrade Vasily probably heading out in few minutes, just came to come and congratulate bride and groom!" Vasily Popov cries, looking back, motioning towards Norrig and theo.

"Pineapple! Am good for heart!" Vasily Popov says to Edwin Valen, turning back his way with a grin on his face. "Good stuff! You will be feeling good in... Ehh, fifteen, twenty minutes, am thinking."

By chance, Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia finds herself near a loquacious noblewoman dressed in the latest fashions. With a reassuring smile, the Poet Knight invites her downstairs to offer her a few choice tidbits of gossip... [Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia]

As Norrig catches sight of the not so stealthy Maura Surgat, the older woman turns towards the newlywed, dipping her head in respect "I was at the ceremony, though I had to return home temporarily as I forgot something. However it's a pleasure to make your formal aquaintance Poet Laudate, as formally I was only aquainted with the character you played in Miss.. I mean misses dul arcenants' play." [Maura Surgat]

Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia begins to descend.

Poet Knight Calanthe op Valencia leaves down with the faint chime of musical bells.

Looking briefly over towards Maura Surgat, Vasily Popov's head cocks to the side as she speaks, brows furrowing just a touch in a bit of confusion. He shakes his head a few times, however, returning his attentions to Edwin Valen, placing a smile back on his features. [Vasily Popov] [Hidden]

"Yes, you then knew me as Solor. She was dul Arcenant then, but I oppified her after the play." Norrig chuckles and nods at Maura Surgat, eyes honey and slightly hooded, "I thank you for attending our wedding ceremony, then, miss...?" he asks politely, offering a handsome smile to the viridian eyed woman. [Norrig]

Another drink in and it seems like Edwin Valen is definitely enjoying himself more than he was. It doesn't take long for pale cheeks to be colored in a flush but he still nods his head and attempts to listen to what is going on around him. Up and back, bottoms up. "Pineapple." he says, truly a master at loquation. [Edwin Valen]

Norrig eats a stick through a piece of cheese with basil and vinegar.
The cheese is soft and has a fresh, bitter, very strong, pungent and heated
taste due to the balsamic vinegar and the garlic. It is easy to chew and
easy to crave for more.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant opens and closes her mouth as the Poet Knight leaves as quietly as she arrived and her shoulders slump a little bit as she walks about the back of the party checking on some of the other gueses.

Maura Surgat places her right hand over her chest, resting slightly above her heart "Ah yes, Solor. Your performance left me breathless... In more ways than one." Maura Surgat relays to the troubadour, left side of her lips curling upwards in a slight smirk, eyes half-lidded "Maura Surgat." She offers in way of introduction

Norrig ahs as he places the empty stick on the table and fetches some hot soup, which is steaming hot. The man replies to Maura Surgat, smiling tightly: "It pleases me that you were left, ah, with such an impression, miss Surgat. We worked beyond hard for that play, though the credit rests mainly on my wife." he says with a nod at the fluffy, wandering Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant, "Would you like something to eat or drink?" he wonders.

Giving a smile as Edwin Valen voices his pleasure with it, Vasily Popov nods a few times, bowing his head just a touch. "Everyone seem to be having good time. Vasily very pleased with this." Vasily Popov says to Edwin Valen, beginning to look around for the stairs as he pulls on his own personal bottle of booze. "You have good time, too, Comrade Edwin. Good to am seeing you drinking."

Looking over briefly to Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant, Vasily Popov waves their way, giving them a smile before placing his hands in his pockets, beginning to head downwards. Whistling a little hymn to himself as he goes, like an edgyboi.

Maura Surgat sneezes loudly.

Norrig eats an entree of hot onion and potato soup with bread croutons.
The soup is hot yet the flavor gentle on the tongue; the onion must have been
boiled beforehand to soften it, same as the potatoes. The freshly made
croutons offer a caprice of crunchiness, and the pepper, a whim of tease.
The rich taste of the cheese on top adds another texture and taste, rounding
out the dishes' appeal to the senses in typical Vavardi fashion.

Edwin Valen emote finishes the cup. Rolling his shoulders slowly he nods happily to himself as the short Vandagan makes his way down the stairs. He draws in a breath through his teeth in consideration before he starts filling another cup from the cask.

"It was truly an amazing, if somewhat taboo display of art. I truly hope it will not be the last major production that comes out of the Hollow Globe." Maura Surgat replies to the Bard, her viridian orbs meeting his "Ah I was actually.." She begins to say in response to Norrig's question, but pauses and turns her head away, burying her face in an arm as a subdued sneeze escapes her "Damn spring." Maura Surgat mutters to herself, being caught off guard by Theia le Koralle's question. There is a pause as the Lithmorran woman stares down the Physician, gaze narrowing slightly "Yesss." There is emphasis put on that one word "The Prime was quite capable of curing what ailed me." [Maura Surgat]

Etienne dul Arcenant moves to settle himself in somewhere near the wine station and sets himself as the sommalier, seemingly offering as many glasses to others as he's more than happy to avail himself of. Every once in a while he scans the crowd to look for something or perhaps more likely someone and not finding it, sighs, and gets back to the drinking.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant sucks on her lip and says, "I had considered it, but, properly the Globe has not found a patron for such another show to replace," she pauses and presses her lips together, "Monsiuer dul Greighton," she finally settles on. She says, "Perhaps in time though, otherwise, it has been smaller things of late, but, no doubt they'll be some dancing and perhaps some singing at some point tonight?"

Norrig blows at the soup and takes a good spoonful, golden eyes on Maura Surgat's green orbs. He bobs his head, listening: "I'm glad, we hoped to, well, stir the senses, within propriety, no?" he looks around and calls to Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant when he finds her, "Theo, love. Come here. Have you met miss Surgat? She is a connoiseur of the arts, it seems. Or just has good taste." he winks at Maura Surgat and smiles a bit.

With another cup filled another cup is lifted. It would seem that all of the conversation going on around him has nothing to do with him and he's not one to interrupt. Edwin Valen does though look a little more intot he idea of making merry though. A slow and relaxed sort of booze and chill is overtaking the typically grim and stoic young man. He blows out a breath through pursed lips, which puffs out his cheeks slightly. "After six or so once it liquifies your tongue you can't hardly tell it's flavored with anything." he says, to no one in particular. [Edwin Valen]

A loquacious noblewoman dressed in the latest fashions replies to a bit of gossip, "I was heading down Iolaide Avenue when I saw that poor wine seller, the one with the cart? Open pustules. I'd have bought a bottle just to help him afford a trip to the hospital, but I was afraid to get too close. ". [Rumor #26]

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant makes her way across the room with a jingle of her jeweled skirts and moves to stand next to Norrig and smiles at Maura Surgat and says, "We met at the ballet and the coronation party as it were, of Lord Asglen. Always parties I think, so why not this one as well. Well met, Madame, what is your art of interest?"

As Norrig attempts to wrangle Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant into meeting Maura Surgat, the older woman smiles at the laudate "I certainly would consider myself someone who can appreciate the arts. While travelling I've certainly enjoyed the occasional bardic troupe I'd meet. Though certainly their performances were nothing of such grand scale as what took place at the Globe, but they were equally unique in their own fashion." Maura Surgat offers, turning to Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant once she begins heading their way, Maura Surgat dips her head "I can't really say I have one in particular I admire more than the other, though I do find myself envying the art of dance and ballet more than others." There it is. Edwin Valen lolls his head backward for a moment and seems pretty pleased with the state of... everything. The hand that is not holding his cup reaches up to scratch at his neck for a longer time than he probably meant for it to he listens to some of the music being played nearby but he doesn't seem to recognize the song at the very least. He worries at the corner of his lip for a moment and then sucks on his teeth slowly. His tongue drags against the roof of his mouth for a moment. [Edwin Valen]

Norrig empties the armganac into his cup greedily and brings it to his lips. He listens to Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant and amu a bit more absently as he gestures at Prisca Connor to get closer: "Captain, captain, try the venison, I burned six plates before I got it right. Will you be dancing when the music begins soon? Perhaps with one of the men?" he asks with a fond, unusually warm smile.

Theia le Koralle offers a light yawn, glancing out a window, "Oh. It's gotten quite late. My apologies, but I must be off, I must be up early for helping at the Hospital." She comments with a light smile and a nod, "Congratulations to you both." She says towards Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant with a smile, before moving to take her leave.

Norrig nods at Theia le Koralle with a permissive smile: "Thank you for the company and the dessert, Nursia, and Lord bless."

Blinks over to Norrig when he beckons, and says, "Oh nothing too heavy tonight, I don't think. And other than the dance of battle, I've not really any skill with it," Prisca Connor replies to Norrig. "Burned a whole leg, did you?" she asks with a chuckle. "Have you kept those dogs that you were speaking about some months ago? I'm sure they were quite grateful for your mistake." [Prisca Connor]

Prisca Connor nods to Theia le Koralle, "Be well, Nursia," she bids.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant smiles over to Theia le Koralle and says, "Thank you so much for coming, Nursia, no? I was very delightful for you to offer cake, another time. Please be blessed."

Theia le Koralle begins to descend.

Theia le Koralle leaves down.

  She smells faintly of roses.
Cresting the head of this long and wiry young woman is a crown of voluminous
chestnut hair, streaked with tawny and russet at the fringes and plaited into
a military-tight braid that trails down to the middle of the back. Her skin
is stark white against the brown of her locks, and her face is not yet
touched by the blemishes of maturity. Under thick dark brows are
almond-shaped eyes that meld the foliage of autumn, reflecting amber colors
in high light and hazel in low. These, propped up by high and narrow
cheekbones, set a near symmetry with her nose, which is broad at the bridge
and narrow at the tip. Below it are plump lips which are slightly
discolored; dark at the center especially.

She stands above six feet, and towers over most women and men. Lithe and
lean define her figure, with the expected feminine swells covered
conservatively under numerous layers. She may be top heavy, with broad
shoulders and a powerful neck, but her legs are of a significant length, and
her arms are a bit short for her body. She has large hands and large feet,
and begins to look awkward if her hands especially hang dormant for too
long.

Not yet aged nor filled out enough to be called statuesque, she looms like a
narrow tree when standing and sitting; her spindly limbs are her branches,
her brown hair and umber eyes the remnants of a lasting fall, and her
approaching adulthood the passage from sapling to oak.
Norrig is a hand taller than she is.

Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare is using:
<worn on head> a beautiful caul of silk and brocade which shrouds the head
<worn over shoulder> an overly-strapped bag with the Crossed Swords on a Chalice
<worn on arms> loose satin sleeves embellished with ruffled, velvety cuffs
<worn, left wrist> clinking, ostentatious, bangles engraved with small numbers
<worn on hands> an elegant set of rider's gloves, extending to the forearms
<wielded, right> a sword (secured at the hip in a red-velvet lined scabbard)
<worn on torso> a fitting bodice laced tight over a vermilion satin chemise
<worn about body> a hooded blue cloak bearing the Crossed Swords on a Chalice
<worn about waist> a hefty leather baldric, hung with a few straps and pouches
<worn on legs> layers of lengthy silken skirts covering long feminine hose
<worn on feet> a pair of shortly heeled, leather boots lined with wolf fur

"Dancing." Edwin Valen says with a shake of his head, the word not slurred at all. He just shakes his head. He does though, snap a salute to his chest as Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare approaches. "Grand Master." he calls out from his happy little corner of glee. He lowers the salute, holding his cup in a scar ruined left hand, not bothering to wear gloves over it any longer. Just a thing that happened. [Edwin Valen]

Prisca Connor places her right fist over her heart in salute to Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare.

"They did, yes, food scraps are always tasty." Norrig replies to Prisca Connor with a candid smile. "We should be starting some entertaninment now... and just in time, for the Grandmaster is here." the silk-clad hunky hulk says, noticing the satin and silk wearing Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare. He bows lightly to her and says amiably: "Grandmaster, welcome, thank you for coming." he walks to her and offers a thick arm, saying: "Can I pour you something to drink? Offer you something to eat?" [Norrig]

She has a sturdy wooden practice mace topped by a padded round head drawn.
This person is perhaps best defined in the single word of "large". While not freakishly so, every part of their body is generous in proportion, starting most obviously with their impressive height, broad facial features, wide shoulders, and so on, all the way down. The have the dark skin and black hair typical of the people of Vandago; their hair is styled in a cross between dreadlocks and a ponytail - rather than falling free, they have gathered the tendrils of their hair at the back of their neck with a no-nonsense leather cord, and it hangs loosely a few inches past the point where it is tied together. Facially, their features are androgynous, with heavy brows, a broad nose, and a wide mouth with wider lips. Their jaw is, relative to the rest of their face, slightly curved, a rounded contrast to the rough-hewn bluntness of the rest of their features, but this is in turn offset again by the rocklike hew of their chin. In fact, this person's gender is rather difficult to determine at a look, though one would be likely to lean towards assuming masculine.
Norrig is a hand taller than she is.

<worn over shoulder> a boiled, grayish leather haversack with an intricate clasp
<worn on arms> a set of fur-lined sleeves sweeping warmly down to the hand

<wielded, right> a sturdy wooden practice mace topped by a padded round head (in-hand)

<worn about body> a long cotton cloak proudly depicting the Scales of Justice

Dull thumping can be head faintly heard (or perhaps not, over the sound of conversation and merriment) before a tall and muscular Vandagan enters, still using a sturdy wooden practice mace topped by a padded round head as a makeshift cane to make up for a lamed left foot. They disengage slightly from the general hubbub and feel out the north wall, against which they lean, panting. They set a sturdy wooden practice mace topped by a padded round head back in its place and rest the bulk of their weight on the wall behind them as they pause to catch their breath. In come Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare and a tall and muscular Vandagan, the latter's weight being supported somewhat by the former as they climb the top step and at last reach the opulent, fancy lounge where the wedding reception is being hosted. A bright, cherry smile is stretched across Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare's face as she takes a sweeping look about to observe everything; the beautiful dome, the food, the wondrous dress of Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant, the eager greeting of Norrig - so enamored is Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare by the sights that she hardly notices as a tall and muscular Vandagan breaks away to sit off to the side, and she allows herself to take Norrig's arm as he offers her food and drink, "Oh - that would be delightful, Master Norrig. And congratulations. Truly. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together." Along the way she finds time to return Prisca Connor's salute.

Complex on the tongue, this Dussollini style armganac has a caramel flavor on first taste, slightly salty from the coastline terrior. As the warmth of the liquor settles, the piquant oaken undertone finishes smooth with the fermented hint of the muscadet grapes used in the regional blend.

"Good to hear," Prisca Connor replies to a tall and muscular Vandagan. "Seems there's to be some dancing or some-such, do use that club of yours if you decide to join in. Though try not to hit anyone's foot with it," she says with a smirk. [Prisca Connor]

He taps his fingers along the cup he is holding and then nods his head at a tall and muscular Vandagan as they take a seat along the wall. "How are you going then, eh?" Edwin Valen says as he looks at her bandaged foot and the practice mace that they are using as a crutch. He rolls a shoulder slowly and then sighs a bit as the merry making goes on around him and shrugs. "Good party." He eventually says but there's not much feeling in it. [Edwin Valen]

With Maura Surgat having been freed from the attention of Norrig by Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare's arrival, Maura Surgat takes her chance to escape, drifting away from the refreshments and towards Etienne dul Arcenant "I'm to understand you are the beautiful bride's brother correct?" Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant smiles at Maura Surgat and says, "Well, then I'll need keep improving upon it, I think I did promise Mistress Beth that I'd set the next story in Tubor, if we want to have more scandal with the costumerie, no?" She laughs at that as the other woman meanders off to speak with the in-laws and then looks over at Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare and her companion and says, "Grand Master, how charming of you to come, welcome." She blinks a number of times and looks aside to Norrig.

A tall and muscular Vandagan crosses their arms, and Prisca Connor's comment earns a wry look. "If I can dance, I can fight," they comment, "and if I can fight, should visit Park Hall Auditorium again, yes?" It is clearly meant as a bit of a joke towards the Captain, and a tall and muscular Vandagan even manages something approaching a smile as they deliver it.

Etienne dul Arcenant looks up from his sullen sort of drinking and says to Maura Surgat with his airy coastal Vavardi drawl, "Well, now I am his mon frere as well now, no, that is the rules of such things?"

A blend of cultures are evidenced in this man's physical features; he has the
sleek musculature of a Vavardi and the fair coloring of a Lithmorran. The
only real mystery is his staggering height, which tops six feet with some
inches to spare. He wears his hair long, the shade stil de grain blonde with
natural highlights of a pale and lustrous gold. The front-most strands stray
from the silk ribbon that binds them, framing a face possessed of classically
masculine features. An aquiline nose, slender without elongation, and a
generous mouth with subtle smile lines summon the most notice -- avoiding
effete perfection by a narrow margin. Eyes of an unusually vivid sapphire
blue are widely set and alert. Sleek, long-fingered hands with callousing
along the fingers and palms suggest regular use of the instrument he cradles
in his lap. On occasion, patrons approach and ask him about music.

"Mmmmm..." Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare considers the array of foods and drink that lies before her on the table, giving the Vasily Popov Patented of Feeling Good Brews Model of 378-WE brews a wide berth (her face makes a slight grimace upon seeing them) before she settles on the coffee and strawberry dessert, "This will be fine, thank you Master Norrig," Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare smiles across to Norrig and begins to pour for herself, although she stops to give the woman-of-the-hour her own greeting, "Mistress dul Arcenant - or rather, dul Donoven, no?" She flashes a warm smile to the bride and lowers into a respectful curtsy before saying, "I am so sorry that I missed the ceremony. I wish I could have made it in time... you look gorgeous, by the way. Who was the seamstress who weaved such a beautiful dress?" [Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare]

A blue-eyed Troubadour smiles like the gorgeous man he knows he is and nods. He winks at Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant and wields his lute, then starts to play a slow, teasing melody as he watches the audience witn interest, while he makes the beat with his stamping shoe. [Norrig]

Prisca Connor shrugs a little helplessly in reply to a tall and muscular Vandagan's jest. "Well, I can fight, but I cannot dance."

"What's a Volta?" Edwin Valen says with a squinting of his eyes as he sets aside another empty cup and sways slightly as he walks out along the perimeter of the room, seeming to know when to quit at the very least. His eyes appraise the guests and things that have gathered and then he starts to ever so slowly head for the food. [Edwin Valen]

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant looks down at the dress and opens and closes her mouth a bit to Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare and says, "The truth, Madame Dame, is I do not know. In proper Vavardi fashion, I got the best thing at the best price, yes? Second-hand from a noblewoman so I am told, at the Auction. It was rather fair all things considering. The tailoring it to my size was the cost inlay. I seem too petite for many of the fine ladies of Lithmore."

[Action: Edwin Valen is here, wallflowering like a champion. ]

A tall and muscular Vandagan responds to Prisca Connor in turn, "Am the same way. Never had chance to practice. I am not usually asked to dance with." Their wry look remains. "I think if I danced, that would make trouble, and do not want to ruin Bardess' wedding party."

"Hmm... I do suppose that would be correct. Such is the manner of marriages, though My late husband had no such siblings so the issue never arose." Maura Surgat offers in reply to Etienne dul Arcenant, looking slightly down at the vavardian [Maura Surgat]

Norrig drinks from a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest.
Complex on the tongue, this Dussollini style armganac has a caramel flavor on first taste, slightly salty from the coastline terrior. As the warmth of the liquor settles, the piquant oaken undertone finishes smooth with the fermented hint of the muscadet grapes used in the regional blend.

Norrig claps loudly to call for attention, some of the troubadours ushering other guests to kindly step back to provide a dancing circle.
The Poet Laudate places himself opposite Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant, a good ten feet away. He stands tall and straight, one foot graciously placed somewhat to the side and behind the other. He brings three fingers, thumb included, to his lips, and kisses their tips before spreading his arm upwards and away. At this moment he bends his back a little and does a half bow, smirking wolfishly at the vavardi vixen across him.

Etienne dul Arcenant gestures about with his a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest to Maura Surgat, "Etienne Edule dul Arcenant, charmed. You wish a drink, Madame? The elderflower is nice, the family stock, of course." He looks as the dancing is called to action and takes a long sip and idly comments, "Here's praying he doesn't drop her this time."

Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare nods in understanding after Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant has told her more about the dress, and is about to respond - but it's time to dance. Seeing Norrig's eagerness to dance with his wife, the maiden-Knight steps back and smiles, gesturing to give Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant the right of way so that she might join the husband.

"A pleasure Mister dul Arcenant. Maura Surgat. However I must decline, at least for now, as I presently still have some of the brandy." Maura Surgat replies, lifting her own cup and taking a sip of the liquor "Ah, so I presume this dance was practiced, or perhaps they've danced before with incident?" [Maura Surgat]

Prisca Connor looks over to the abandoned Grand Master, asking Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare, "And do you dance?"

Watching as the dancing starts he considers this for a moment, in the glassy sort of vacant way that a person who has had enough to drink can do. It's not his full attention by any stretch of the imagination. Moreover Edwin Valen seems to consider the dancing for another long moment. Then... he goes back to eating. A pleased sound escapes his lips. [Edwin Valen]

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant waits as the pace of the music is set and she looks over to the musician and she waits as the guests part so that there is a space between herself and Norrig. She swallows a bit and adjusts her dress slightly and closes her eyes.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant paces a circle on the opposite side of the dance floor as Norrig her arms set akimbo at her sides with the flourish of split, hanging sleeves of chiffon, shimmering with crystals. Each of her steps is purposeful with a shift of her hips that seems designed to make her large bridal skirts sway with each step. She turns and finally faces him with a saucy sort of air and keeps his gaze before finally lowering her lashes to her cheeks and dipping into a curtsey.
She appears to be a master at dancing.

Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare is in the middle of biting into her slice of sweet, frosted, delicious dessert when Prisca Connor poses that question. Caught unawares and in an unladylike state, she turns away briefly to wipe at her mouth with a handkerchief before performing a graceful, practiced twirl and chirping down to Prisca Connor, "I do! But this is... volta, yes? I would be akin to a child learning her first lessons."
Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare appears to be proficient at dancing.

A tall and muscular Vandagan gives the widening dance circle a wide berth (to say nothing of the lovely couple in its centre), evidently quite pleased remainining where they are for now. Even so, their gaze at least is upon the dancing couple in the middle of the room.

"Oh, I see. What's a volta?" Prisca Connor asks feye, looking back briefly to a tall and muscular Vandagan. [Prisca Connor]

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant rises up slowly and then hopping from one foot to the other in a light little relevie. She shimmies her shoulders and holds her flowing skirts slightly aside with one hand while the other makes flourishes into the air with each of her light hops. Each move brings her closer to Norrig as she rises up on her curious little shoe and then down on each motion.
She appears to be a master at dancing.

When the food is gone there's a definite note of disappointment written on Edwin Valen's face. He looks up at the dancing couple and whistles low and shakes his head. "Volta." he says, drawing out the word a little longer and saucier than he usually talks. As other people move past him to partner up it becomes abundantly clear that he's going to need to hug the wall a little closer. Placing his plate down on the table he just puts his back to the wall, content to watch the things going on and not be a part of them for the time being. [Edwin Valen]

Etienne dul Arcenant nods to Maura Surgat and says, "Once, I think, at the Queens, or so I heard, I was not yet in Lithmore then."

Upon seeing that they have company along the northern wall, a tall and muscular Vandagan leans over to Edwin...and they pause for a moment. "It is a good ceremony," they say at last. "Merry and...that." [a tall and muscular Vandagan]

Norrig mirrors Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant as if they were reflections - on the surface. While she is light and feminine, the man is graceful but heavier, solid hops. His hands dance in front of him elegantly, and his amber gaze is fixed on his partner. His left and right steps slowly guide him towards her as a hand rises, but he then traces a close circle around her, hopefully facing her all the time. His head is tilted forward with purpose, same as his light grin.
He appears to be a master at dancing.

"Why, a dance of course!" Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare exclaims with a foolish, cheery giggle, cheeks turning red in amusement as she explains to Prisca Connor the 'volta', "It's a Vavardian dance. It is very... Easternlike." A kind way of saying risque, if her expression is anything to show, "I do so wish I knew the steps, however... just to know... I would never perform it, even with my husband." [Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare]

Edwin Valen "It was fine, aye. Very uh... Vandagan, with the rings, aye?" he says, glancing at a tall and muscular Vandagan as though for confirmation. He watches the dancing though with an appraising eye and reaches up slowly to scratch at the side of his neck and with the kind of creeping awkwardness that comes in this kind of situation. He's a soldier. Even the motions that are happening so gracefully in front of him seem to be totally lost on him. It's settling into a half drunk and confused look.
Edwin Valen appears to be incapable at dancing.

"Ah, so did you arrive just for the wedding, or have you been here for sometime?" Maura Surgat questions of her vavardian companion, watching the dance with interest, perhaps a bit subdued given the alcohol in her [Maura Surgat]

Maura Surgat drinks from a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest.

Prisca Connor looks over briefly to the dancers and 'hmm's, Then she looks back and blinks at Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare, "You are married, Grand Master?" she asks.

Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare's comment about her husband also has drawn a tall and muscular Vandagan's attention, as they look over to Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare curiously. a tall and muscular Vandagan says nothing, though, not wanting to shout their way into an ongoing conversation. [a tall and muscular Vandagan]

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant sneezes loudly.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant watches as Norrig paces about her and she works to spin opposite him with a rustle and jangle of her airy and jeweled skirts, and after a number of pas de deux where they circle around one another like a mated pair of birds she moves to find herself standing just in front of him and raises up her arm with her fingers flexed, palm facing away from him as her other is flourished away from her. All of the effort seems to make her breath rise slightly and then she sneezes and the flush to her cheeks is a look of all but drop-dead embarassment.
She appears to be a master at dancing.

Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare blinks once, obviously very surprised by Prisca Connor's question. Then it dawns on her, and she hurries to explain, in between stifling her laughter behind a hand, "No! Oh Spring, no! I meant if I -were- married, I would never perform the dance. Forgive me for not being clearer." She's looking horrified, pleased, and embarrassed, all at the same time, and so tries to shift the topic, "Have you tried the strawberry cake? It tastes incredible, truly!"

Etienne dul Arcenant looks at Maura Surgat and says, "Not directly, no. I was sent because - well, the black sheep needed some other field to bother, no? To, get me away from another wedding I wasn't invited to." He looks down into his drink at that and sighs a bit and takes a long sip of his drink.

Norrig blinks as the little woman sneezes violently. The man offers the best smile he can and after an instant, moves in for the kill. He steps close to Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant, and places his hand under the edge of the bust bone of her corset (spicy!). He then winks at the woman and, after bending his knees a little and sliding one between her legs, he lifts her in the air and in a somewhat scandalous twirl!
He appears to be a master at dancing.

A loquacious noblewoman dressed in the latest fashions replies to a bit of gossip, "That new Grand Magnate celebrating, maybe? ". [Rumor #27]

Edwin Valen fails his charisma check!

"Well, that was bloody amazing." Edwin Valen says with a nod of his head. "Making a sneeze look charming." and then the dance gets... a little saucier than Edwin Valen feels comfortable with at any rate. He looks away now, a slight flush to his pale cheeks that's not coming from the drink. He clears his throat loudly. [Edwin Valen]

Maura Surgat listens as Etienne dul Arcenant speak, her cup held near her heart "You know, say what you will about black sheeps, but I've always found them to be the most interesting, as they stand out from everything around them, and it is often jealously that leads to the ostracizing of them." Maura Surgat replies while watching the unique dance, her free hand coming to rest against her cheek "Truly everyone else fears the unique, fears those who go against the flow."

"Oh, right," Prisca Connor says with a chuckle at Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare's explanation. She shakes her head, "I've only had a little of the cheese," she admits, "I suppose I could try some." [Prisca Connor]

Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare's demur also represents the end of a tall and muscular Vandagan's interest in the matter. Or perhaps it was Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant' amazing dance moves that did it. Either way, a tall and muscular Vandagan's attention is now on the lively newlywed couple, at least for a while, until Maura Surgat's comment draws its own raise of the eyebrow and brief refocus of a tall and muscular Vandagan's roving gaze. [a tall and muscular Vandagan]

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant blinks, despite the reality that the smooth delivery of the dance surely shows it's one that both groom and bride have practiced socially or as Bards or otherwise. She tilts her head back and laughs a minute as she's spun about into the air and waits for the pause in music until she slides back down the front of Norrig and settled back onto her feet. She turns her shoulder then and tilts her head to one side and faces away from him and reaches up a hand to pat at his cheek as the dance seems to settle into a quiet conclusion.

Norrig smiles proudly at the pat on his cheek after he settles his wife on the floor. He breathes in and exhales, then kisses Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant's cheek and steps back, clapping for her: "Bravo, dear sirs and madams, Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant in the flesh."

Prisca Connor blinks and looks over when Norrig says 'flesh'. [Hidden]

Edwin Valen draws in a breath through his teeth as the dance stops and then rolls his shoulder slowly. He tilts his head to one side and pops some bones back into place before giving the Troubadors what they want. Applause. He claps a few times, giving nothing like a cheer or anything like that. He just claps. Still there seems to be something haunting him though, some unspoken thought that's darkened behind his eyes. He clears his throat and then considers the food, considers the drink, and seems to after a brief moment, decide against either.

As the dance comes to an end, Maura Surgat finds a suitable location to set her drink down and proceeds to clap following such a performance [Maura Surgat]

The dull whup of leather on leather sounds as a tall and muscular Vandagan joins in the applause as well - and then they push themselves off the wall and move toward the refreshments table, limping heavily but otherwise moving unassisted for now. [a tall and muscular Vandagan]

Etienne dul Arcenant whistles loudly between his front teeth and then reaches up to take off his hat and ruffles a hand through his mop of curls and says to Maura Surgat and says, "Something like this, perhaps. Blinded by the brillance of the stage lights, I think, is what they say, no?"

Norrig exhales and looks around, eyebrows raised: "Well, nobody else will dance? How about you, Captain? Or you, miss Surgat?" he asks, offering a smile, "Not a Volta, no, else my new wife would find just cause to stab me in the eye." he... jokes?

"Exactly." Maura Surgat replies in response to Etienne dul Arcenant, reaching for her cup once more as she proceeds to down what's left "However, I believe I should be making my grand escape.." she begins to say, however as Norrig directs attention to her once more, the lithmorran shakes her head "I do not think I have a dance in me today." Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant flushes as Norrig steps away from her and she clears her throat at the clapping.

"I believe I'll just try the cake before I take my leave, Laudate, but thank you," Prisca Connor says with a dip of her head to Norrig. [Prisca Connor]

"Ah, well, too bad." Norrig says as both Prisca Connor and Maura Surgat politely turn down his offer for a dance. He looks around and before long he spots Bard Beth op le Tarrow, and his eyes widen with renewed energy: "Beth. Beth! You came, I am so pleased. Come, come, I'm op Arcenant from now on." [Norrig]

Etienne dul Arcenant waves a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest at Maura Surgat and wiggles his fingers at her, "Another time at another party, perhaps, no?"

Grand Master Feye ab Gravespeare begins to descend.

"Hello! Congratulations! I'm still going to call you Norrig, though, even if I'm not supposed to!" Bard Beth op le Tarrow chirps brightly, hopping over towards them. "But I thought someone was going to warn me ahead of time when it was going to be as soon as he knew so I could try to come!"

A tall and muscular Vandagan arrives from below, a sturdy wooden practice mace topped by a padded round head being used as a cane to shoulder most of the burden of their limping left foot.
A tall and muscular Vandagan slows to a halt.

"I don't think I would profane the floor with something that I could call dancing after that kind of a performance, eh? I have some shame." Edwin Valen says with a rueful shake of his head and a nod toward the rest of the people who have gathered for the after wedding festivities and when the sudden rejuvination of Norrig comes at Bard Beth op le Tarrow's arrival he almost smiles it turns into something like his usual expression. Somewhere between implacable and emotionless. Ambivalence seems to be a skill he's acquiring. [Edwin Valen]

Norrig raises his eyebrows at Bard Beth op le Tarrow and smiles amusedly, ignoring her blatant disregard for titles and station... naturally: "Yes, well, we decided on a date not long ago, about two weeks. I am sorry about that, but we saved you cake." he says, trying to appease the woman with sweet treats. Like a man ought to do.

Maura Surgat returns her glass to wherever the empties may go. However as Etienne dul Arcenant questions of her, Maura Surgat smirks "Oh I'm sure we'll meet again. Plenty of festivities that occur." Maura Surgat offers warmly to the vavardian, turning away from him and dipping herself forward a bit towards Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant, hand holding a proper half-upturned hat crafted of matte isabelline felt in place "The ceremony and reception have both been lovely Misses dul Arcenant, however I'm afraid I must be returning home before it gets too late. May the lord of the springs bless your marriage."

Prisca Connor leaves down. She looks to be trying to avoid notice.
A tall, brawny, ruddy-haired man leaves down.

"Did you -really- save me a piece of cake, or did just nobody eat it yet?" Bard Beth op le Tarrow gives Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant a playfully suspicious expression.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant looks over to Maura Surgat and smiles and says, "Thank you for coming, Madame, please, take anything with you if you'd have it, and Lord bless."

A tall and muscular Vandagan continues to loom over the refreshments table like a large tree. With no idle chatter to come between them and their repast, they help themselves to the soup next.

"I had to smash someone's face in." Norrig assures Bard Beth op le Tarrow with a nearly offended expression, while a lantern-jawed Lithmorran man with a crooked nose nods at the Laudate conspirationally.

Said Laudate looks away at Maura Surgat and smiles kindly, then waves at her: "Until next time, madam Surgat." [Norrig]
Norrig appears to be competent at acting.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant laughs at Bard Beth op le Tarrow and says, "I was certainly hoping you would come, yes, Madame, please enjoy the cake, well, now there's a few cakes."

With farewells in order, Maura Surgat takes her leave. However as she reaches the stairs, she pauses, left hand resting against her chin, and those closest might hear her mutter something about purchasing a flask [Maura Surgat]

Maura Surgat begins to descend.

Maura Surgat leaves down.

Bard Beth op le Tarrow giggles happily back to Norrig and Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant's protestations, nodding very seriously. "Okay, well, which one, where, did you save for me?" She looks about.

Then there is something else to watch, apart from the exchanges of pleasantries and the general merry making that he seems to take little part in apart from tapping pretty heavily into the vodka a bit ago. Edwin Valen does though watch a tall and muscular Vandagan as they tear into the food like a person who has not eaten in some time, and standing under their own power no less. His head slowly cants to one side as he watches this. [Edwin Valen]

Etienne dul Arcenant gets a slice of layered, lemon-curd wedding cake from a large banqueting table inlaid with golden sheaves of oats.

Most of a tall and muscular Vandagan's weight is still on their right leg, as can be seen in their rather lopsided posture. Their reaction to an entree of hot onion and potato soup with bread croutons is a bit less than favourable, with a surprised expression (and a rather unpleasantly surprised one at that) crossing their features shortly after the first taste. But it doesn't stop them from more. So absorbed are they in the process that, for the time being at least, even Edwin Valen's eye on them goes unnoticed. [a tall and muscular Vandagan]

Etienne dul Arcenant lazily unwinds himself from his self-appointed spot as booze guardian and then makes his way over to present a slice of cake to Bard Beth op le Tarrow and presents it with a little flourish.

Norrig points at Etienne dul Arcenant as he is a good goy for once. The Laudate looks at the tubori and says: "You just missed our volta, but still -- it brightens our day even more that you could attend. Calanthe was here briefly as well."

Etienne dul Arcenant drinks from a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest.

Etienne dul Arcenant stops using a beret of shaped midnight-blue velvet, sloped over one eye.

Yep. He's still watching this. With the kind of look that a hunter has when watching something in the wild eat. "You know... it isn't running away, right?" Edwin Valen says to a tall and muscular Vandagan then, seeming to realize in his slight haze that he is staring for probably too long. "Folks spent a lot of time cooking it, you might want to take some time to taste it... and whatnot." he says. [Edwin Valen]

Bard Beth op le Tarrow beams happily back to Etienne dul Arcenant, proclaiming cheerfuly, "Why thank you! This looks delicious!" She spins back around to Norrig, "That person you punched must be very disappointed to have missed out on this particular slice! But.. since I missed so much, you'll have to tell me all of it! What happened? How did it go? What was wonderful? I mean, of course it was wonderful! But just how wonderful?" And she pops an enthusiastic bite of the cake into her mouth.

A tall and muscular Vandagan straightens as they're addressed, and they look over their shoulder at Edwin Valen. "Only hospital food for two weeks," they remark. But with that said, they do slow down in their ravenous consumption, just a bit. "But...you're right. Am eating like pig at trough." So saying, they step away from the table once or twice, each time pressing their left foot gingerly against the floor before allowing it to take its share of their weight. Their backstep proceeds without incident.

Etienne dul Arcenant fluffs his hat back off and shakes his hair out as he meanders back to sort of lounge near the drinks and begins to hum a song under his breath, the jaunty sort of air of taverns and he winks as a blue-eyed Troubadour seems to recognize it and he raises a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest and winks at the other fellow.

Edwin Valen fails his charisma check!

"Aye, no problem. What are mates for?" Edwin Valen says with a shrug of his shoulders and a glance at Etienne dul Arcenant His nose wrinkles slightly but this only lasts for a moment. Then it just ends in a shake of the head. Then he says to a tall and muscular Vandagan. "I don't know what it is, but I'm starting to feel hopeful for the first time in awhile. That some of these dark times might be passed for a moment. Where we can all kind of take a collective... breath." he says. [Edwin Valen]

Norrig looks at the reeve and squire out of the corner of his eye, as he answers Bard Beth op le Tarrow, "Well, I don't have time to tell you all that went down, but the ceremony was grandiose, a lot of people attended from all walks of life. Then I kissed Theo, and we came here, and we've been eating and drinking for hours." he tells the tubori, "So much that I feel like calling it a day, it's early morning..." he looks at Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant, "Cherie, will you stay a while longer?"

A tall and muscular Vandagan takes a step to the northeast.

A tall and muscular Vandagan sits down and rests.

A tall and muscular Vandagan repositions themself against the north wall, against which they deposit themselves as before, taking their weight off of their bandaged left foot. "Not mates," they remark. "But time is passed for that question. Will tell you another time. But I now have a question for Edwin."

[Action: a tall and muscular Vandagan has returned to the north wall, against which they lean heavily. ]

"Oh, already?" Bard Beth op le Tarrow pouts briefly back at Norrig's words. "Well, I -suppose- it makes sense that you might be tired after all that, even if it is very broad strokes!"

"Oh, I thought we were friends." Edwin Valen says glancing at a tall and muscular Vandagan. "I guess not?" he pauses though seeming to realize something might have been lost in translation at the very least but then he nods his head at a tall and muscular Vandagan. "Alright, so what's the question?" [Edwin Valen]

Norrig smiles at Bard Beth op le Tarrow kindly, and tilts his head: "Theo can fill you in all the gossip, dear."
The man then leans in to plant a loud smooch on Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant's cheek, murmuring: "It's legal now." he winks and leans back: "I will be seeing you later, love."

Finally he looks at a tall and muscular Vandagan and Edwin Valen and raises both eyebrows: "Reeve, Squire, I leave you in charge of my wife, my brother in law, and my champion bard. I trust you'll be up to the task, with a bodyguard helping you?" he gestures at a square-faced Lithmorran woman with dark eyebrows.

Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant opens and closes her mouth and looks at Norrig and sucks on her lip and says, "Yes - for a bit, I'll make sure things are tended and such, and then I will be home." She lowers her lashes and smiles to him and flushes as he kisses her.

A tall and muscular Vandagan looks about to respond to Edwin Valen, but it is then that Norrig addresses them. Clearly taking things too seriously, they narrow their eyes and straighten from their semi-resting position against the wall. "Are you expecting trouble?" they ask, holding haversack in one hand as they feel inside of it for something with the other.

"Aye, Laudate. I reckon if someone starts casting spells or the like that I'll be right on it." Edwin Valen says with a nod of his head toward Norrig. "Congratulations again. Lord preserve you." he says with a dip of his head. He glances at a tall and muscular Vandagan. "I don't think that anyone is expecting any trouble at the moment, Cadet." he says with a shake of his head. "Then again, we're in Lithmore so. I'd take all of that with a grain of salt." [Edwin Valen]

"No, madam, but it is my wife, I will not lower my guard. She's a delicate thing, see." Norrig says to a tall and muscular Vandagan as he hooks a thumb at Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant. He nods at Edwin Valen gratefully and steps back, saying: "Lord bless you all, and thank you for being here." [Norrig]

Etienne dul Arcenant drinks from a cup of polished rosewood with the Troubadour's Crest.

"So, are you terribly excited to be the Mrs. Poet Laudate now?" Bard Beth op le Tarrow spins around to grin brightly at Theodora op Arcenant op Arcenant.

Norrig examines a large banqueting table inlaid with golden sheaves of oats.
A large banqueting table inlaid with golden sheaves of oats holds:

( 10)a stick through a piece of cheese with basil and vinegar
( 11)a bowl of aglio, olio e peperoncino spaghettis with garlic
( 9)a gourmet dish of venison roast with wine sauce and herbs
( 20)a slice of layered, lemon-curd wedding cake
( 12)slice of strawberry dessert, delicately frosted and dressed
( 12)a handless clay cup containing a rich, pungent Farin coffee
( 12)a ball of croquembouche sweetmeats, part of a larger cone
( 10)an entree of hot onion and potato soup with bread croutons

Norrig gets a ball of croquembouche sweetmeats, part of a larger cone from a large banqueting table inlaid with golden sheaves of oats.

Too olive in complexion to be pure-blooded Lithmorran but too fair and not
hairy enough to be truly from the hills, this man has a weathered, seasoned
look to him. His hair is the color of dried hay and cut short; similar but
darker stubble covers his scarred, boxy jaw in rough grit. Beneath heavy
brows peer cold eyes, each a flat chip of grass-green. Below them sits a
crooked nose, bulbous at the tip. Several of his uneven teeth have been
capped in brass, making his smiles glimmer dully. He's well into his
twenties if not past that.
Norrig is a foot taller than he is.

A lantern-jawed Lithmorran man with a crooked nose is using:
<used as a light> a roughly dipped tallow candle with a thick twine wick(off)
<worn on head> a stiff but lightweight hat with a wide, decorative hatband
<worn around neck> a small wooden chalice pendant hung from a strip of leather
<worn on arms> a pair of light sleeves bearing common designs at the cuffs
<worn on hands> a set of lightweight gloves that button closed at the wrist
<wielded, right> a spiked mace set on a long haft (hung from the hip)
<worn on torso> a lightweight tabard cut to mimic the latest trend in style
<worn about body> a lightweight cape tying around the throat with drawstrings
<worn about waist> a lightweight sash crafted from a length of colorful fabric
<worn on legs> a lightweight pair of breeches tied with ribbon at the knee
<worn on feet> a pair of lightweight, flat-heeled slippers with thin soles

Norrig examines a ball of croquembouche sweetmeats, part of a larger cone.
This is a piece of dessert consisting of choux pastry balls piled into a cone
and bound with threads of caramel and honey. In each ball is a mix mash of
sugared almonds, fruits, and edible flowers.

A tall and muscular Vandagan lowers themselves back to their prior position, and crosses their arms. "Too much to learn in this kind of place," they say, somewhat ruefully, as they settle against the wall and take their weight off of their bad leg. They turn to Edwin Valen. "I was going to ask about horses. We spoke of them so much while I was in hospital, I think is time to go and see one, if you know where to find it."
