Re: The future of the Physicians
No offence taken at all, Kinaed! I think I should perhaps clarify my own stance, since I admittedly didn't articulate myself very well in my initial post: It isn't that I'm absolutely in favour of shutting down my guild; that wasn't the intention of the board post. I have been noticing some serious ...

Riding buddies!
Hi all,
I was hoping that there might be a possibility of allowing people to ride with you in a saddle. I know this is done a lot in real life, but isn't codely possible on TI. Perhaps, given the extra weight of the horse, it could take a double mv penalty for doing so?
Thanks!

Re: The future of the Physicians
I'd say that the Reeves and Knights would be places for the Physicians-- they must have their own (IC) teams of physicians as they are currently, in their accident-prone line of work? You're right though, Hera-- even that idea doesn't fit so naturally with me. Nor does the "every man a doctor" poten...

Re: The future of the Physicians
How would that work for people who want to work with the Knights or the Reeves, Hera? Would there be a purchasable permit, in that case (at a reasonable amount), for physicians who don't want to join the guild (or can't because of GL responsibilities)? I'd be on board with that, or would perhaps alt...

Re: The future of the Physicians
Thanks for your feedback, Inertia. I agree with you on most counts; skill in medicine is very widespread, and often people will just treat themselves with <36 skill, rather than seeking out a physician and paying for the work. This not only means that the guild misses out on valuable RP/diminishes i...

The future of the Physicians
I want to open this thread to discuss something that's been bugging me for a while: is it useful actually having a formalised Physicians Guild? These are the current issues with 'yes' as I see it: 1. We've recently lost a good deal of members to death, inactivity, or GL responsibilities, and have la...

Re: Regency Run Critique
I think it might be useful to point out here that the Regent isn't the Monarch/King/Queen. We have a Lord/Lady Regent because there already is a Queen who is too young to rule in her own right. I think that already limits the power of the Regent quite significantly: they aren't anointed, they don't ...
