Re: [Poll] Plot Staff
That is a good idea. I got around it by doing a quick loop in tintin to soload stat (every single vnum from the list) and copying it to a text file so I could search more easily. But loading by keywords would be so much easier. Or soing a soload search (keyword) that returns all that matches the key...

Re: Exile and its Implementation
Exiling isn't worse than stripping them of their status. It leaves them some dignity.
For example, Napoleon was exiled. Twice.

Re: Exile and its Implementation
I really like the idea of it, but it should be considered a pdeath basically, Most shouldn't expect to be returned to grid. And they can choose to liquidate with full pdeath benefits, or just hold onto it if they want to, and maybe revisit the character again someday. It gives another flavor of high...

Re: Exile and its Implementation
I don't know how we could possibly call ourselves an RP MUD if this is the route we choose to take with this. A brief threaded ceremony before tossing someone off grid? Capturing characters off-scene? What? These are really strange ideas to be reading here. Exile, in my mind, should be considered a...

Re: Exile and its Implementation
My suggestion was more like: 5) load mobs to attack and capture the person to be exiled (if they aren't already in custody), then #1. I think the actual removing from grid should work a lot like existing execution commands, a brief threaded public ceremony where they're branded and carted out of the...

Re: [Poll] Plot Staff
Always nice when plots can be handled promptly- though I've not had to wait too long for most I've done recently. I'm not sure on improvements to help with disagreements- perhaps there could be a little more transparency on how plot outcomes are determined? show the rolls that were done in the staff...

Re: Exile and its Implementation
In that case, it could still use some looking at I think. With the other options, they get at least one last scene with their execution. Perhaps it could enact a bit of a super-warrant, with reeves spawning in places they wouldn't usually in northside and in greater numbers, and maybe southside thug...

Re: Exile and its Implementation
I would think they need to be caught to be exiled, but it just adds extra flavor compared to the existing ways which are generally outright pdeaths. And might give the option of being able to play the character again sometime in the future. Perhaps you could attempt to break exile with major RPA (10...

Re: Automatically being hauled to the Madison from a phome
Well, if you find someone dying on one side of the city, one would think you'd take them to the nearest triage and not one on the other side of town. For convenience I'd still suggest leaving the Madison as default, but I think allowing a choice that makes more IC sense would be a good thing. Which ...
