Well, perhaps a toggle then?
But really, if you're wearing armour or weighed down with mother heavy stuff, you're going to drown. I don't care how strong a swimmer you are, you are not going to keep yourself afloat with a hundred pounds of steel on you.

Swim, Armour and Weight
Hey... just a small suggestion of swim here, but perhaps it would make sense if you can't swim while wearing armour or if you are over 50% of the max weight you can carry. Re: Balance: Knights vs Mages
Could just tweak the numbers perhaps? See which guilds have more than they need and which don't?
Though I'd strongly urge you to leave the Merchants rich as crap. It just makes sense IC.

Re: Balance: Knights vs Mages
I know in the Merchants Guild the funds have been used to purchase materials for new merchants. I know that that was really really for me starting out on Edwynn. My understanding is that the "overt" guilds get their income as a cut of the sales to mobshops, yes? How much information is given to the ...

That would suck if you're stuck alone though, wouldn't it... How did they deal with that?

Re: What is the best RP Mud Quest you've ever played?
I enjoyed the Monarch quest. It had its flaws, but at the end of the day it involved a tonne of players and its result actually mattered. It also didn't feel like deus ex machina or anything, or out of theme (cough zombies cough cough :( lol).

Re: Battering rams
Perhaps it could reduce the amount of damage you take rather than eliminating it?
That being said, I like that there is risk from bashing down doors. It's what keeps hooligans from looting every shop in the city.
