Re: The future of whoinvis

I also very much enjoy the surprise easter-egg characters who tuck around the grid doing their thing without their name on the who list. Instead of logging in and knowing exactly who is on grid and what scenes I probably will or will not run into while I play, there's a prickly aura of mystery -- t...

Re: The future of whoinvis

And if the only way you get characters to search for other characters is by who, they are also relying on an ooc mechanic. At this bloody point we should remove who in general. It should go the route of activity, where paranoia and suspicions rule the day. Or another option would be similar to our b...

Re: Player Control over City Metrics

While already an iffy idea in a situation where Nobles are considered direct descendants of Dav Himself , Is this a thing? I don't feel this is a thing. I mean sure the Harmons I could understand, but I've never heard nobles described as descendants of Dav himself, especially since several noble la...

Re: The future of whoinvis

Honestly the arguments several people are providing for why whoinvis should not be around are not very convincing and rely alot on using ooc info to benefit them icly... Which is metagaming is it not? Or is it only metagaming when the "Villains" use it? The reason for whoinvis in the first...

Re: The future of whoinvis

I'm personally in favor of it remaining the way it is currently, persisting beyond log in. I primarily use whoinvis on my GL, versus my alts. As a GL, it seems like everybody wants your time, yet sometimes ya just want to be able to rp without getting assaulted oocly via tells and whatnot. There are...

According to Temi's post, he was able to have 11 ranks in Mercantilism. Also by default I imagine he had 62 ranks in Lithmorran.

Re: Why Are Assets Limited to Chargen?

My opinion about assets: - And apparently, the asset system fails to create a visible difference between gentries, nobles, and freemen (at least, I had not enough XP for that). Maybe could it be less expensive for gentries, give more prestige than income to nobles, I don't know. If I remember corre...

Re: Player Control over City Metrics

Hmm... While I like the idea, it does seem like it would change metrics far to easily, especially for people who have alot of ip. I mean it would be a great use for IP... But eh. Seems too familiar to when people could spend ip to take down or build up GLs, and we had an abundance of gls being outed...

Re: Off-topc from assets discussion Puciek and Vouxumuo

I might see about putting some more extensive benefits into the game for player storytellers. I do think that would help to really invite not only those who tend to run stories, looking at you playing behind Amadore, but also invite new people who want to jump into them. I mean I've only ran one st...
