Re: Pre-Sun Cycle to 107 SC: Tentative Timeline

I think a Tubori trading post would be likely there, with it receiving a large influx of immigrants during the Consolidation. Hrm, perhaps a Charali-Tubori mixing a la Vandago as the base at the colony, with the various merchant groups immigrating because of Dav.

Re: When In Lithmore...

That being said, I think it's highly appropriate to censor players who are OOCly harassing/irritating people for playing thematic characters. Hearing this disturbs me a great deal. Where's the RP maturity to separate what's going on ICly from OOC? I think this is the real heart of the issue. I don'...

Mark of Thandok

Or Mark of the Magus perhaps? I don't know. Anyways, here's my idea: This spell would apply a tattoo to someone (either that's permanent or that lasts for a decently long period of time). Then a second spell would let the caster see through the eyes of their marked victim when cast. Or maybe hear th...

Re: Pre-Sun Cycle to 107 SC: Tentative Timeline

Hmm. I'm not sure the Vavardi were really based in Vavard that much until the Consolidation. I personally thought of them as a mixed merchant class that originated in Tubor, but drew in merchants from other areas and spoke a lingua franca heavy on Tubori grammar and mixed vocabulari.

Re: Combat, OOC Info, Helpfiles

Just from a "fun" perspective, I think it's nice to have dual wielding as a viable strategy. I mean, how badass is it? It'd be nice if there was some solution to Jei's concerns that left it viable though gave people some flexibility in how they defend. Or something.

Humble Suggestion, River Square

Was chatting with Julea about some of the escapes (failed and successful) from captivity, and I had a humble suggestion to make: -remove the nomagic flag on River Square, to at least make it possible to invoke spells there. -add a nomeditate flag of some sort, so you can't meditate yourself away fro...

Re: Suggestions for Magic

A mimicry spell was mentioned as a good idea on OOC.

Re: Combat, OOC Info, Helpfiles

I don't think even the OOC knowledge is very widespread. Point taken I guess on it removing one of the three major decisions we have in combat right now though. (Which defense/weapon combo do we use? Should I attack or defend? If I attack, where do I target?)

Suggestions for Magic

Two quick suggestions that I think would be very helpful for magic. 1. Collaborative Magic What I mean by this is things that require or encourage mages to get together and work together regularly. This could mean spells that require multiple people (across multiple elements?) to cast perhaps, thoug...

Re: Combat, OOC Info, Helpfiles

As an alternative, could perhaps defense be tweaked such that it automatically uses whichever defense is best against a certain attack. I would think if you're facing multiple people for example, it would be far more plausible to be blocking one with the shield and another with your sword than shift...
