Re: Dual Guilding
I'm completely for dual-guilding. Actually, I'd be for tri- and even quadra-guilding if it were possible -- and provided it all made sense. Those who mentioned above that "there are IC means for handling this" are correct, I think. Certainly, some dual-guilding situations are more easily digestible....

Re: Our Main Flaw
@Leech: I've long thought this too, but I may have come to different conclusions than you. You asked: The sheer amount of OOC navigation that must go into a scene. Is this fair? Are you okay with this? Can I do this? What about this? What happened when so and so and... blah, blah, blah. What do peop...

We Are the Champions
... my friends / And we'll keep on fighting / Till the end. </obligatory> Had some discussion at the OOC meeting regarding what, if anything, could be added to make being a skill's champion more enticing. As it stands, any ranks about 75 are for fluff purposes only: they don't affect the code, meani...

Re: Ideas for the rebalancing of Atmospheric Vortex
I'd like to see a wholesale refactoring of both combat and magic to incorporate turns, as Takta suggests. Whenever someone casts or stabs in a room full of people, about 75% of the OOC chatter that ensues concerns turns (which is admittedly the only fair way to adjudicate such scenes). In other word...

Re: The Ugly Salon
I like Casimir's point about the murder-after-arrest and hope that others consider their fellow player's feelings, especially the bad guys. Mimily exposed herself in game deliberately for this scene, which on TI is a straight up death sentence. I know the scene was tense, but it does seem a shame t...

Re: Breaking Bad
Ah, but why should I go for the unpleasant feels of really going out of my way to create conflict, paired with the high possibility of losing the character, which to me is inevitably pretty devastating emotionally on top of representing all this lost effort/time? Just pursuing conflict when it come...

Re: Big Plot
Whatever you want to do, Takta, I'm sure that it'll be great. I still have my Ikihel plot to run - after the storyteller system's got bugs ironed out, and when I can find time that overlaps with other folks. I'd also like to vote against another invasion and indeed another natural disaster; those ju...

Re: City Lore
To really make city lore more useful, I think everyone should get some version of it for free (say, to rank 25), and the lore should be visible in the description of the room-- at least signaling that the room has lore. If you can slot the different versions of lore into circles, to borrow from the ...

Re: Charisma, and Beauty
I don't equate "app" to attractiveness. I've always disliked the "stat," and I pretty much always advance the idea of "I like what I like, society be damned." I wouldn't shed a single tear if it were removed. Besides, as far as "app" goes, someone like Kim Kardashian is App 5 in American society, an...

Re: The University
Here's my caveat: I was there when the original scholars' guild was opened, and had characters there through several iterations. My ex ante position is that if you can amass a group of people who want to engage in this kind of roleplay, that's great; but at least in the past, it's never been sustain...
