Re: Log of OOC Meeting 7/05/2014
The big hard important things are highest priority to get done. However, that doesn't always mean that they should be first on the to-do list. For the simple fact of motivation, it is better to mix in small, easy projects with the bigger ones, and fixing bugs with adding new features. Heads down wor...

Re: Regency Run Critique
I'd honestly prefer to give preference to existing PCs over new NPCs. I thought that is what we were going for and the NPCs were just to fill it out because there weren't many, not as the main event. If we get the new characters in to fill up the noble slots, they would have time to work up towards ...

Re: Lacing Options
I didn't divide them based on poison vs medicinal or not, etc, but based on whether the type of liquid seemed to be one taken in small or large amounts - ie whether it's like a tincture or a big drink concoction thing. So there should be a number of medicines that can lace things. I think both sweet...

Re: Thoughts on Herbalism
The original design for herbalism wasn't with the intent of a guildskill for a single guild though with it such the interplay between it and other skills like new chandler stuff Has been affected. The design of herbalism for cooking and brewing plants also intended full access with 36 or less skill....

Re: Log of OOC Meeting 4/12/14
While there's nothing wrong with a policy of it being staff's job to enact NPCs and provide RP, it's one we've made a conscious decision not to move towards. For the most part, the burden of creating RP falls on our players, and staff are here to facilitate an environment that is great for doing so....

Re: Look at all.plants
I'm not opposed to it. I'll let Az know. The original spec called for room tags on plants that were particularly needing of care, but that turned out to be technically difficult, so we gave up on that. I'll see how bad this would be.

Re: A few blacksmithng ideas
The problem we have had when trying to figure out a way to support non - purchase acquiring of metals is that it is so expensive. To preserve any of the value of metal objects, getting any of the metal would have to be very involved or repetitive or pretty much suck. And we don't really want to do t...

Re: Remove/modify Auspex
I've never felt the need to remove auspex. It's not as powerful as it could be if people used think in a less self-preserving manner, but we don't really expect them to do that. Human nature and all. In it's current state, it does more to add to RP than it does to subtract from it. Not being a trump...

Re: Fleeing and etc.
Maybe if you're closer to the exit than to the person guarding, perhaps by a certain margin, you can exit without combat? Ie, if the guard is twice as far as the exit point, they can't really try to stop you.
