Re: Coups

I don't look at this as a mode to just get rid of someone who isn't liked or isn't active, but instead as a method to replace them with someone who has more popular support. Initiating a coup doesn't mean you lose your GLship, it just means you have a chance to defend it, and if you're a great GL, p...

Re: bat signal

What about some sort of option to ping a guild when you're at locations owned by them - maybe at a guild xblock? It could even just be an alert on the guild channel that someone was looking for a guildmember at x-location.

Re: Dual Guilding

I don't mean to speak for Kinaed, but I believe what she was talking about is not what players do, but from the actual staff requirements standpoint. While we would love to see guildleaders doing these types of things and getting reports from players, etc, if it comes down from on high that they hav...

Re: Covert Guild Turnover Policy

I think this applies more to the Brotherhood than to the Manus, since Brotherhood members are not allowed to leave or be deguilded. Maybe that's all that is needed - when a new regime pops up, allow former members to disappear (and seek again later if they like). But maybe at their option rather tha...

Re: Petty crimes

I think this is an important issue, and it is one that we have tried to address before. This was the reason for help laws summary, at the request of both the Reeves who wanted to know what to do with people and the Criminals who want to know what they should expect for crimes. That helpfile is: The ...

Dual Guilding

It's been suggested that perhaps dual guilding should be more restricted than it currently is. There are pros and cons to allowing it, but there are worries that it has become the default rather than something to be used in certain specific circumstances that make sense. How do you think it should b...

Re: We Are the Champions

I like it in general, but I'd probably adjust the skill handicap thing slightly. Maybe two different levels of it, with different thresholds. Gavin tests a weak swing. Gavin appears to be competent (35) at sword, but it is apparent he is holding back. Gavin tests a weak swing. Gavin appears to be co...

Re: The ol' slip it under the door routine

Mail bombing would not currently be possible with the set-up of the spell you're referring to, so that isn't really a concern. If this is limited to mail and papers, it shouldn't be problematic. Perhaps with a drop action to indicate it's on the ground by the door, so you can't just frame people wit...

Re: Orderites-Or the lack of

Orderites can have mages. They just can't have manus members. Which makes sense because that, by default, involves knowing about several other mages rather than just themself. A number of previous times before it hasn't been any issue, but a number of times it has been an issue as well. It's not per...
