Re: The unwritten rules of the Spar
I also think that we can't ever be fair in trying to account for all of these things without consistent rules. Is it fair to tell someone who wields a polearm that they should have to accept the drawback of possibly being slow and unwieldy when we don't give them the benefit of greater damage in ret...

Re: Reject support from people you're subverting
Ahahaha.
Yeah, probably subverting someone who supports you should remove their support from you.
Sorry, Galen.

Re: The unwritten rules of the Spar
A lengthy and thoughtful post! Myself, I abide by strict turn order in spars: if you attacked first, you keep attacking first, period. Otherwise, someone will get two attacks in a row before the other person attacks again, and I think that ends up being a bigger advantage/more likely to be impossibl...

Re: Paid Advertisement Rumors
Forgot to post earlier, but I love this idea!
I find I'm just not in rumor mill rooms that often lately, which discourages me a bit from picking up rumors/adding to them. Maybe the Troubadour perk of access anywhere anytime should just be the normal approach? Troubs can still get them for free.

Re: [Poll] Seneschal
I feel the bidding went by super fast and I didn't get involved (though I was on vacation for some of it!) so I'd like it reopened, personally, for a better sense of candidates. Agreed that the eligibility of Freemen feels weird, though. Any other position where freemen can suddenly rise this far (J...

Re: Excessively HP Wounds
RP etiquette goes both ways in such situations. It's difficult to try and include people but be ignored, or have people decide to stop posing when you enter the room, etc. If people are online and in a room where RP is happening, they should be actively posing every round or be clearly flagged AFK s...

Re: Excessively HP Wounds
Agreed, though I wouldn't even worry about con damage or some other sort of overflow mechanism - just blocking max damage at total HP is ideal to let the wound system function. It was balanced so that no wound, no matter how heinous, would keep you completely bedridden for too long. That balance goe...

Yeah - I'm not a fan. I'm very big in favor of precedence's subjectivity, and against anything that really makes it hardcoded.

Re: [Poll] Enforcing Theme
Unsurprisingly, I once again agree with Pixie! I seem to see bigotry everywhere, and frankly at times to extents I think are a little over-the-top (especially in rumors). The "friendly-enough-but-they-are-lesser" approach feels more realistic and in-theme to me than the open "they're-subhuman" appro...

Re: Length of Poses
Agreed with Pixie. People who perpetually fire off short emotes can cause me real trouble in terms of getting involved/interested in the scene. It's not -actually- about length, per se; it's about giving people enough material in your pose to respond to. Roleplay is give and take, and everyone shoul...
